Let me just say I grew up in this neighborhood and there's never been a place as high-end as this. the ladies here don't speak a ton of English but they do one hell of a good job.

it was easy to get an appointment. they have just enough space the chairs are new & comfty, everything is clean my shellac has lasted the expected lifecycle. they offer complementary drinks margarita, champagne etc.

The prices are transparent and they take card or cash

the staff was very friendly and did a thorough job unfortunately the quality of my manicure was not good. I sat and waited well over 25 minutes with my nails in front of the fan drying and later that evening two of my nails chipped and the next day all of my nails were cracked, I think either the nail polish was expired or the top coat used was wrong.

First of all the mail tech was the most gentle person I've ever had do my nails. My cuticles are in fantastic condition and she was super easy on my nails which I loved. There was no forced conversation which I also appreciate as I was super tired this morning. She was very detail orientated and made sure none of my nails were lumpy. My nails are so smooth and even and she took her time to make sure they were perfect. No complaints. Also I was the only one there which also helped with a relaxing vibe.

Love my nails done at Skylar Nails. They were all friendly and aimed to please! I definitely recommend!

I really love this nail salon. Mia did my nails and she was really detailed oriented and very good. I like coming back here again and again because they just do a really great job.

I love this place! They don't work with acrylics. They do dip & shellac. I get the dip powder as a base for support on my natural nails & then get shellac or gel on top! I like that they have chrome to put add for an extra pop.

OBSESSED with the people and my nails! They do pretty much anything you ask for (I do dip powder manicures) I've been to lots of salons in the past who can't do what they do here! They are skilled! Thom did my nails this time but everyone is so thorough and kind! I recommend all my friends to go here. The best place in Portland!

Be sure to ask for Mia as she is amazing and talented. She is friendly, kind and interesting to talk to. In the Bay Area they charge $45 to $55 BUT here they only charged $28 so inexpensive. Mai spent over an hour and she did a fabulous job. I highly recommend her and this lovely salon.

I desperately wanted to take off overgrown acrylics done at another salon and go back to my natural nails so I did a quick search on Yelp, found this salon, and booked an appointment via Yelp! After the acrylics removal, I opted for a simple gel manicure with some nail art. The nail tech was very meticulous and careful... honestly, this may be one of the best gel manicures I've ever had. My cuticles are perfect, the color isn't streaky, and the nail art is so cute. If I lived here, this would be my go-to spot for sure!

I've never thought my toes looked pretty until I got a gel pedicure here. I was shocked! Everyone was so kind, friendly, and provided the best pedi I've ever had. I'm not a regular at nail salons, but I will never go anywhere else as long as I'm in Portland and Skylar nails is open.
