Royal River Casino & Hotel

Okay service, good restaurant, bad pool not big, we gor a noise complaint for using our jacuzzi, kids were running around and they didn't get mad at them, the only good thing is the restaurant

We live in Marshall and drove the 60 miles to try the Royal River Casino Captain Nick's Seafood buffet. We have eaten here before back in 2019, but haven't been back since Covid hit. The food was very good back then. A big disappointment this time. The 4 of us in our party had a hard time finding anything that tasted good. The broasted chicken was edible. My son-in-law was looking forward to the coconut shrimp that was advertised to be in the buffet. There wasn't any. Supposedly chicken gravy was a mess of white starch goo. Horrid! To charge $19.99 for food unfit to eat is uncalled for. Beware!!

Holy crap has this place gotten worse. Their slots are sooooooo tight. It is literally depressing walking into this dump.
I will NEVER come back to your shithole casino GUARANTEED. Absolutely ridiculous how fast you lose your money here. Guess they really need it seeing how dead it is here. Watch this place close - one could only wish as it would be rightly justified.

Trash customer service. Anyone that gets harassed or attacked will be removed (including diamond members). Been punched in the face verbally harassed 3 times in 6 months and i get told
To leave. You can not stand your ground because you are viewed as the aggressor
They do not remove the instigator they let diamond members get treated like trash and don't care. Zero stars.

As soon as I got to the hotel the desk clerks were rude and not very helpful, had reserved a room with my father's info because I'm his power of attorney but when I came to check in they made me get him out of the vehicle in -50 windchill (mind you he's handicap and this isn't an easy task). Asked for a handicap room and we got one at the farthest possible area away from casino and restaurant that they could've gave us even though the place was empty. One of the beds in the room was broken, the TV options are slim to none on poor quality TV, no USB available charging options in the very outdated room, 3 dim lamp options for lighting. The slot machines are the coldest machines I've ever seen. Can't win a dime here or even be teased to make it enjoyable. The only thing I can say good about the place is the dealers in the table game area are friendly.

Bet 25 cents win 75 cent every once in a while. Bet $1.25 rarely ever win anything. Payouts should change based on bet size if a payout is a set percentage based off federal laws.

This place would honestly get a 5 star review if their pool area was better. Every member of staff I encountered was super friendly, the casino is small but quaint and not overly crowded. The room is charming and clean and the price was just right! I think it's a great little weekend getaway for sure.

Every year we buy our parents a hotel/casino night gift certificate for Christmas.
They enjoy it and usually go in the summer around Dads Birthday.
This year they turned in their gift card as usual, checked in and stayed the night. When they went to check out the next morning, they were told they would be charged because they did not present the gift card. So they were charged.
I stopped by with my purchase receipt to try to reason with them that these elderly folks would not try to rip them off and they come here every year and could they please value their integrity and patronage. They refused. Just disregarded the human error (I believe in the hotel staffs part) and the God living honesty of 2 people in their mid 80s, and refused to refund the hotel night stay. So, they were paid twice for a room.
We will not return to this establishment.
Too big of an insult to just disregard.

Great casino resort. The remodel is very impressive. I think the new center sports bar is a great place to hang out. The hotel rooms are upgraded and very comfortable.
