Roy Electric

Hugo and his helper (didn't get his name) were at my house today installing some recessed lights and wiring a couple bedroom ceilings for fan installation. Very friendly and professional, answered a lot of questions I had, and most importantly, they did very clean and quality work. Will definitely call Roy Electric for future needs. Thanks!

I contacted several Raleigh home maintenance service companies to get estimates on changing light bulbs in hard to access location (under microwave and top of stairs) plus changing a GFI switch in garage, and removing a laundry room fluorecent light fixture/replacing it with a new type of ceiling mounted type of light fixture.
I chose Roy Electric because Tyler showed the most interest of all others in getting my business. He contacted me almost immediately, and until we agreed to all prices and terms, he was in constant touch (or reachable) via email or messages or direct phone call. He was nice, friendly and polite while still professional and knowledgeable.
He sent 2 young guys, Felix and Brandon (old woman here so sorry if I got one name wrong...), who arrived on time, were very polite, and got to work immediately by dividing and conquering.
One worked on the garage GFI receptacle replacement while the other worked on the replacing microwave inside lights.
Then it was on to the second floor where one replaced the landing ceiling fixture light bulbs while the other worked on removing/replacing laundry room flourecent type ceiling light fixture.
When they were finished, they cleaned up after themselves (even vacuumed!) and everything was done and fixed in a little over an hour. I paid with a credit card and within minutes I received an email with a detailed receipt of charges.
I would most certainly call them again if I ever need electrical type of home maintenance! Highly recommend!!

Friendly and knowledgable, they gave quotes over the phone, nice they're open later in the day.

Awesome service. I had 3 bad electric switches that needed to be looked into. Felix and Uriel came over (sorry if I misspelled their names). The two of them troubleshooted the issues and replaced the switches for me.

They were both very friendly and professional, and handled everything with care.

I would use Roy Electric again if I run into any future electrical issues.

Steve and Tyler are extremely customer-focused. We appreciate their care and concern to make sure all work is completed to their high standard. We've used them for all our electrical needs.

I would have appreciated the honesty and upfront quote rather than being shocked when we got our total. Steve responded saying they typically give a break down of cost but we never got anything further than the yelp quote. The person on the phone never mentioned a jump in price after I explained what we needed.

Never responded to a phone call many days ago: clearly not customer oriented! Disappointed!!

I got my breaker panel replaced by Royal electric. They weren't the cheapest quote that I got but they were able to do it fairly quickly. They did a good job, although I had to repair the drywall around the panel, it wasn't a big deal for me because I had to repair some other drywall in the laundry room but I think some people wouldn't appreciate having to do that themselves. I would recommend them though, I feel like the work was done properly and on time.

Very professional and responds promptly to requests for estimates . I have used them a couple of times and had no issues.

They were able to approximate the quote for the addition of a 240V circuit for my new pool pump based on a description of the needed work, some photos of the circuit breaker box, and the specs for the new pool pump via email communication so that in the time it would have taken another electrician to do the quote requiring a visit to our home, Roy Electric was able to show up and do the work at a reasonable cost. The work was completed today ahead of the time I needed it since I'm still waiting for the necessary flex PVC pipe to show up so the unit can be plumbed. They were great and recommended.

Bottom line: Very positive experience with Roy Electric arranging to come work on my issue as well resolving the issue itself. Two thumbs up!

The Deets:
I had a ceiling light in my utility room that stopped working, and new bulbs did not resolve the problem. I let it sit without getting it fixed for a very long time, but recently decided to get it looked at. I called Roy Electric due to the good reviews I saw in Yelp. I called and got a scheduled time with them to come look at/resolve the problem, and my phone conversations with Steve were good ones...making sure that I felt like my item was important even though he was in the middle of some other business. After scheduling a day that was free for both them and myself, I was surprised the next day when I got a call back stating they had a last minute opening and they could come that day...wonderful! Tyler came in to work on the item within 1-2 hours after that call. He was extremely positive and nice, and got the problem solved fast during my lunch break even! The light fixture was even converted to LED which he explained that was included in the initial estimate given to me, no added charge, bonus! There was minimal mess (only a piece of wire or two at the most near the switch, very acceptable) and all was wrapped up with professionalism and positive attitude. I'm glad I found Roy Electric to help out on this one, and would call them in the future if needed!
