Inept billing department. They could not comprehend how my child was covered under her father's insurance and I was covered under my own policy. They kept trying to bill my insurance for her. Called each time I received a bill and they claimed to fix it, then didn't, and they sent me to a collection attorney. I explained it all to them and they got it fixed. I found a new dentist. That dentist informed me the expensive treatment I'd been told I needed and had to pay out pocket was not needed at all! My friend went to Dr R also, so I told him about it. He'd been through the same procedure and it was also unnecessary for him! Scammers. I only wish they'd messed up the billing before I went through the unnecessary procedure.

I had my teeth cleaned there and while they were cleaning the hygienist found 2 cavities. The cleaning took a while since I had not been to the dentist in a long time but the hygienist was incredibly kind and gentle making sure to give me a break when I needed it. I had to have a 2nd appointment for the cavities to be filled but Dr. Rousseau did a great job. He was very thorough and made sure the cavities were filled and filled down so I didn't notice them when I bit down, and also double checked to make sure no other cavities were present. Overall I had a great experience and will continue to see Dr. Rousseau myself as well as make him our family dentist.

I went to Plaza Boulevard Dental (formerly Rousseau Family Dentistry) for a routine exam in March 2017. I have minimal gum recession, so the dentist suggested fillings at the gumline to alleviate my tooth sensitivity. I left believing I was cavity-free, though. About 7 months later, I received a call from their office asking if I wanted to make an appointment for my fillings. They said they couldn't tell from my chart if I had a cavity; they were just following up with the treatment plan in my notes. They seemed disorganized. I even requested a copy of my x-rays at one point, and they sent someone else's by mistake. I made an appointment in November because I was concerned that my sensitivity was actually a cavity. The dentist examined me, and said I was cavity-free. On my way to the front desk, the hygienist said, "You have some cavities in your chart." After further review, it turns out they had failed to communicate in March that one spot was actually a cavity, and not just sensitivity. When I asked the hygienist why the dentist didn't mention this, or go over my chart or x-rays during my visit, she said they were only billing insurance for the tooth I complained about, so it wasn't part of the exam. The tooth with the cavity was in the same area, though. To me, it seemed a little negligent for the dentist to tell me I was cavity-free because, apparently, I was only paying him to look at a particular tooth. The hygienist went to the dentist, and twisted my words, saying I believed he was "all about the money." Then, the receptionist walked in to make me sign for how much my filling would cost in advance. I waited for several more minutes (an hour total). Finally, the dentist returned angrily after talking privately with his hygienist, stopped me from talking so he could finish his speech about how seriously he takes his doctor-patient relationship, and then told me I wasn't a good fit for his office. They were rude and unprofessional. I left with a cavity. To top it off, I received a phone call while I was in the exam room, but didn't check the missed call until after I'd left. It was their office -- calling to ask if I wanted to come in for my treatment plan! I'll let you judge based on this, and other reviews, 1) if they are competent, and 2) how much they care about their patients' teeth. My recommendation is to stay away!
