This place is a great spot to take a group or a date night for two.
The food is good. Service is quick with kind of a cafeteria feel.
Several salsa are out and all are good
Our food came up quick and was flavorful a bit on the bland side bUt with some of their salsas you can spice it up perfectly.
The place is also very clean and well maintained
11/8/2019Previous reviewGreat restaurant. Service is friendly and helpful. Very clean.
Orders come out super fast. Our orders were prepared as ordered and were high quality and the flavors were delicious and fresh tasting. This is an order at the counter, find the table you want and your order number will be called for pickup. We there at lunchtime and it seemed to be very popular with the locals.
This is a large restaurant and would also be great for families
My only complaint would be the food could have came out hotter.Read more

12/29/2019I love this place! I'll drive from Calabasas to Temecula ( over 100 miles!) just for the three burrito plate. That's a bit of an stretch, but seriously, if I'm in Temecula, a city of a thousand restaurants, Rosa's Cafe & Tortilla Factory is my first choice.
The decor is authentic, the place is clean, the people are pleasing and polite and the wide selections on the menu...TASTE GREAT!
The last time I was there, I got two orders of the burrito plate. One to eat there, and one to warmup, a hundred miles away in Calabasas. - Joy J.San Diego, CA
11/5/2019Used to come here way back in the day 11ish years ago when I worked in Temecula. The thing I remember the most is their amazing queso dip!
Still as awesome as ever!! I also wanted to try their enchiladas so I got chicken and cheese. I almost didn't see the cheese one because it was hidden under the red sauce. Both tasted amazeballs and that sour cream sauce is delish!
4 stars because there were mosquitos flying around us as we ate but I guess that can't be helped. Also I like that you can serve yourself drinks and at the salsa bar! - Lili T.San Diego, CA

Came here via a recommendation from a coworker and honestly I was not really impressed with the food here. I wish I had better things to say, but the food was pretty subpar and I just didn't feel satisfied after eating here. I got a chicken fajita and tamale and it just wasn't as delicious as it was hyped up to be. I probably will not be back here.

2/19/2020Great place for the larger family's and their Kiddos. Open, friendly, well appointed decorations and very Salsa Bar with all the spectrums of heat necessary to meet everyone's tolerance levels of hotness.
Go check it out. - Annie T.Carlsbad, San Diego, CA

Thank you for being Texas to California. Wish I new about this location sooner. My bf is from Texas and Rosas cafe is his favorite. He said it tasted just like back home.
The decorations are so colorful, bright, and happy feel good mood. Plenty of seating inside. Good was fast and fresh. Drove for 30 miles to get here. Convenient right off the 15 freeway. Will be back soon. - Sally H.Temecula, CA

We come here about once a week. The tortillas are fresh and there are lots of sauces at the spice bar. There is a drive through as well.
Families are very welcome. I see all ages here. It's just a fun place!
There is outdoor seating with some tables in the shade.
The folks are friendly though often in a hurry as they are always busy. - Faye A.South San Francisco, CA

I need to be fair so here goes... when I wrote the previous review years ago, I was a vegetarian. I'm not anymore. My company ordered from Rosa's last week for our Christmas party. I was blown away at how delicious the food tasted.
Impressed with the food, I brought my husband here last night. He loved it too. The chicken enchiladas are delicious, made with white meat chicken breast. That enchilada sauce is so good!! The fajitas were delicious, I love that they use real carne asada meat, probably the only restaurant that does. Chips and queso were good...not the ordinary chips and salsa. Overall, I think we are going to be coming here more often.
7/3/2014Previous reviewTwo words: EXTREMELY DISAPPOINTED.
Being that my co-workers talk highly of this restaurant, I was very enthusiastic to try it.
Decor: Very nice, bright and colorful.
Food: Disappointing. They DO NOT CATER TO VEGETARIANS unlike other mexican restauranta do. My husband and I ended up eating just chips and guacamole and chips and salsa. Their beans are cooked with LARD (wtf!!), and their rice has chicken flavoring in it. For the very least, they cook their chips in vegetable oil (atleast that's what the manager said). Speaking of the manager, a young hispanic female in a black shirt.....she was very rude and UNFRIENDLY. When you work in customer service you atleast should smile and when a customer asks you for anything, and in this case I asked for a to-go bag she had the biggest attitude, rolled her eyes and turned away as she gave me the bag. WTH, don't they train their managers anymore!?!?!?!?!?! ANyways, back to the food.....my kids did like the family fajitas thingie they had that came with rice, beans, guacamole, sour cream, cheese and salsa. I did like the fresh tortillas, machine or hand made I don't care it was warm, fresh and delicious. Salsa bar was nothing special, it was DEFINITELY NOT AUTHENTIC!! Overall, I think the food here is VERY AMERICANIZED.......more like gringo mexican food.
One of my co-workers says that her husband is one of the managers here and is very proud of their meat here because it's expensive and high quality, and by looking at it it did look like skirt steak ranchera.
Overall: THEY NEED TO HAVE VEGETARIAN OPTIONS AVAILABLE. There are more and more vegetarians now days, so this option needs to be there. At the very least, they should have like a burrito with their bell pepper and onion fajita veggies, guacamole, pico de gallo, lettuce. etc.....
Fix this problem, maybe we'll come back and re-evaluate.Read more

2/18/2020My wife and I love this place. The food is good and the prices are very reasonable. If you like Margaritas they are small, but very inexpensive. The tortillas are excellent. The beef fajita plate is my favorite.

2/2/2020Great food and lots of it for cheap! I travel to Temecula for work sometimes and this is always one of my staples when looking for good cheap food!

12/30/2019The worst Mexican food I've ever had. I was staying at a hotel nearby and wanted one place close. Next time I'll go to Old Town. They pride themselves on authentic Mexican food but definitely not authentic. I got the chicken enchiladas and the meat looked like the wet food I feed my cat. Horrible.

3/31/2019This place we went to off of all the reviews on Google and yelp. And we were soooooooo very disappointed.
1. Fajita steam nachos... We're made with canned cheese steak was still read and rubbery. Everything was clearly canned and reheated
2. Kids bean burrito and rice.... Was so tiny smallest bean burrito I had ever seen for my daughter. To say that she (my daughter) was still hungry is an under statement.
3. Fajita plate.... Under whelming chicken was rubbery. And lacked a lot of flavor.
4. Combination plate. No flavor. Nothing was home made.
Very disappointed. This is on The line of Taco Bell. - Sampson C.Los Angeles, CA0 friends28 reviews
1/21/2020Greeted with a smile when you walk in and order!!! Great food! The Beef is slow cooked as always flavorful and delicious. Rice and Refered beans are well seasoned but not salty at all. This By far my favorite American Mexican Food restaurant!!!

10/12/2019Best Mexican food I've ever had. The taste of the ground beef and chicken were good. Nothing was over salted. Quick order system. Friendly people. Would definitely come back. Highly recommended.

1/8/2020I have been eating here for over 15 years.
Not once have I left unsatisfied. This is the only good tex-mex you can get in California, at least that I've found.
How anyone could rate this anything but 5 stars must not enjoy tex-mex or something really weird happened. - Danny F.Orange, CA

I wouldn't say any of the food at Rosa's is bad, but I wouldn't say that any of it is particularly great either. It definitely has a Tex Mex type of feel and flavor, which is not my favorite, especially when there are so many authentic flavored Mexican restaurants in the area. However, the restaurant is very clean and the employees are very friendly

All I have to say this place is my absolute fave. I will forever come here for all the machines enchiladas and burritos all of there food here is to die for. Not to mention the special cream sauce. I love everything here a little home away from home.

11/5/2019My wife and I had dinner here. You can watch them make the fresh tortillas. We both had chicken tacos which were very tasty and came with shredded chicken and a better than average size portion. The chicken enchiladas came with an unusual white sauce that was very good.
The restaurant was very clean and comfortable.

6/6/2019I've been eating food from here for years.
The last couple years it's just been one mistake after another. Refunds don't make up for the wasted time, I finely had to say no more.
