This was a great place, we went for breakfast/brunch. It has a great atmosphere and quality food. It also has a great patio and view from the roof. The roof was too cold for us when we went though.
To get to it you'll have to enter the antique store from the street, head straight past the front desk to the stairs, and go up 3 floors to get to it. There are signs for the restaurant on the way up and also a foldup sign was on the street when we went.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Lera F.Manhattan, NY5542727Jan 19, 2020
I'm not sure how my friend Oleg ever found this place, as it's located on an upper floor of an antiques market, but he did! And we had a great lunch there :)
I think it's especially nice in the spring or summer to sit in the upstairs rooftop area, but inside is comfortable enough too. I got the Full English Breakfast (sausages, bacon, egg, toast and baked beans) which I had actually never ever tried before!!! So this was really cool to try, my very first toast with baked beans (a super English dish), which tasted great. Also had a glass of prosecco. Would like to check out this cafe again in the spring! :)Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mira B.Los Angeles, CA32170151Mar 6, 2018
I used to live in the area and this was definitely one of my favourite coffee shops to go to. Every time I'm back in London I make sure I pop by here. They have really good food, an awesome breakfast, and their cakes are super yummy too. They're located at the top of the antiques market so it's a bit of a hidden gem. Please try to visit if you're in London.

A nice hidden gem. Really like the low brow novelty of the roof top kitchen. Usually you'd expect a roof top anything to be bougie, but this was pleasantly accessible and not pretentious at all. Granted you weren't overlooking the most scenic part of London, but it had a very nice local neighborhood charm.
Only downside was the German Group next to us that was smoking nonstop. It made the atmosphere somewhat unpleasant and made all the food taste crap. The terrace had quiet a few kids for breakfast, so I'd suggest maybe bar smoking during breakfast hours?Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Bonnie B.Smyrna, GA05Jul 13, 2016
I came to shop at Alfies, and a dealer suggested I check this place out. I love it so much that I'll return just for the restaurant! Excellent food, great rooftop setting, and -- I thought -- great prices compared to other London restaurants.

Food is fine, rooftop terrace is nice, but the service needs work. Website states they have Vegan options when they in fact DO NOT have vegan options. On top of that, staff were rude when asked about said vegan options

This little restaurant is on a rooftop terrace over the 3 floors of Alfie's Antique Market, the climb up is no hardship with all the glorious antiques to peruse.
I was expecting greasy spoon type fare, but the food was exceptional. The waitress service was surly when she took out order and that was the only downside, but when she returned with the food she was much brighter and more pleasant and explained that she'd had tables of 20+ in all morning.
I ordered burger and chips, and when it arrived it was homemade burger in homemade olive bread for £6.50, my daughter had steak and chips and the steak was the size of the plate.
This unusual little restaurant will become a regular for me.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
