      A:

Hi- I actually picked up my shoes right before they closed. But I almost didn't make it on Time. I had walked a few times and the owner had a paper sign on the gate with info. You should go check and see if it's there. If not try his website or send… more

Great service and great work! I had a pair of loafers that needed the heel replaced and he did an excellent job. Seriously, I don't trust many people with my expensive shoes, but I do trust this place!

I also had a pair of heels that lost the tip of the heel and he replaced and leveled both. About $40 to have both pairs fixed. Money well spent.

Update! I got pomegranate juice on my brown leather skirt -- they fixed it and it looks like new. So amazing and so thankful!

Before photos of stain on my leather skirt from pomegranate juice. Looked so bad!
After photo: like it never happened!! Amazing work. Trust them with everything here. Thank you!

Read all the one star reviews - This place is terrible.

      1. You will wait literally months for your repair
      2. The repair itself will be awful and my shoes had more damage than when I had dropped them off - I just wanted a new sole replacement but suddenly the leather was totally damaged
      3. Hours are inconsistent - I came by at least 10 times after work trying to pick up my shoes and either heard 'sorry not ready' or simply the store was shut down.

TERRIBLE. Do not spend your money here, it's aggravation and awful service.

Do NOT trust this business with your goods. They took my Chanel bags in JANUARY and I still haven't seen them. It has been 10 months. The excuse was COVID (although stores didn't close for two months after), car accident, kidney stones, etc. I have been considerate for 11 months. This is unacceptable and i am taking legal measures.

      BEWARE OF THIS STORE.

To start, I found this location on Yelp. I brought in a pair of Schutz Gladiator Sandal heels. I had worn them a few times and most recently, I noticed that my toes were sliding out the front. They looked like claws! I brought them to David and he reassured me that he can fix it. Took him a few days and my shoes now look BRAND NEW!

Being so delighted with my shoes, I brought him a Louis Vuitton Neverfull tote. I stopped using this tote because the inside was dirty and the inside pocket was completely ripped. David took a look and immediately guaranteed me that he'd be able to correct this. Since he fixed my shoes, I wasn't worried at all. My best friend came along with me during this visit and she brought in her Louis Vuitton Bucket bag. The inside of her bag is light pink and was covered in pen marks. We both left our bags with him for about a week and he legitimately worked MAGIC on both. The inside to both look SPOTLESS. We're both extremely thankful for his services.

The interesting part about this entire experience was that we both initially inquired with Leather Spa who gave us a nonsensical and absurd quote for the repair. Leather Spa also did not convince me that they'd be able to fix either bag. They also proceeded to tell us - "Well.. not too sure if it will be exactly how you'd like." What kind of business drives away potential clients? This leads me to advise anyone NOT to step into any Leather Spa location. Leather Spa will 100% rip you off. I'm confident David's prices as well as quality are not comparable.

He is extremely friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. I am absolutely thrilled with the service he provided me. I think after my experience here, I am convinced he can fix anything! No challenge is too big. DO NOT GO ELSEWHERE. I promise you this is the best in NYC!

**Photos are attached of everything David fixed for me**

The same thing happened to me. He stole a vintage item that is irreplaceable and very valuable to me. Been begging for it back for over a year and like with everyone else, he keeps making excuses, and gets aggressive when questioned.

I plan to finally make a police report. Based on what I've read in the reviews, I think we can get him for GRAND LARCENY in the 2nd or 3rd degree. The more people who come forward, the bigger the charge we can get him on. So, if this has happened to you too, PLEASE COME FORWARD.

I took my Frye boots out of storage this fall and wow, where they in bad shape. Luckily, I found Romano! I got a quote from them on yelp, and brought them in on a Friday evening. They charged me exactly what the quote was ($95 for full leather soles and heel repair). I was so excited when they were ready on Tuesday afternoon.

They fixed them up so quickly, and they look perfect! It's like having a brand new pair of Frye boots that are already comfy and broken in.

I was expecting much better service considering their 5 star average with 119 reviews. Perhaps they are having a particularly busy two weeks or something else is going on, because I did not feel like I experienced the same quality of customer service as is mentioned below.

I dropped off my shoes a week ago and told him I'd return the following week to pick them up, because I needed one of them for a wedding I would be attending out of town. Maybe I should have called before I showed up, but based off of all the rave reviews, I assumed that they were fast on the job. However, when I arrived today to pick up my shoes, they were sitting on a chair, unfinished.... Definitely not what I had expected given the stellar reviews and given the fact that the woman before me expected her shoes to be done tomorrow (aka. the day after she dropped them off).

He apologized and said that he could have them for me in an hour and I told him I'd stop by after class (3+ hours later) to pick them up. They were barely ready for me to pick up by the time I arrived. Although I'm happy that they were able to finish the work, I'm not ecstatic about the quality. It looks fine but the soling is not even (see picture). It also looks like they scuffed my shoe while they were filing down the sole and tried to cover it up with some shiny paint that doesn't even match the color of my shoes (see second picture). If this had been a pair of Loubs, I think I would have been very upset.

      5/14/2016
I called to see if my shoes were finally ready for pick up. I gave them an additional two weeks to work on my shoes, which I guess was a mistake, since after giving them my tag number, they couldn't find my shoes. The man on the phone said he would call me back. Okay. He calls me back and says his partner left for the weekend and was the one who put the shoes away for storage, so he'll give me a call on Monday when his partner is back so they can figure out where it is...(never got a call back by the way).

      5/19/2016
Finally picked up my shoes after playing some phone tag about whether or not they had found my shoes. I'd asked them to fix a torn strap and to resole this pair of shoes, which they did. The resoling for this pair was a little messy than the other, but the strap was fixed!! (see photos below for before and after). Obviously the strap is now shorter and if you look close enough you can see where it was glued back, but I'm happy with how it turned out and the fact that I can wear these heels again!

      Tips:
If you drop off your shoes, I'd recommend you give them a hard deadline for when you need them back...and it would probably be in your favor to underestimate the amount of time they have to get the shoes back to you.

One more tip. Don't make your full payment up front. I was way too trusting about the quality of the work, and I paid my full amount of $65 when I dropped off my shoes, even though I was given the option of just putting down a deposit. I think they may take your order more seriously if they know they aren't getting the full amount in advance, and they might also be a little more careful with their work if they know that you can withhold your payment. Just my two cents.

I'm really torn between giving them a two and a three star, but I'll go with the three since they did work some magic on one of the two pairs of shoes I brought in. After my experience though, this is a warning to everyone who is planning on bringing their shoes here to take all the 5 star reviews with a huge truckload of salt.

Asked them to repair my wife's purse and he said he could color it and replace the inside. Total cost $240, total time 3 weeks. Looks like a brand new purse! They did a great job. I didn't compare price so I'm. Or sure if it is a little or a lot but it's cheaper than buying a brand new bag.
