My friend stopped for breakfast while passing through the area and ordered carry out. We both had an order of the strawberry danish crepes and an order of the bacon/eggs/hash browns/toast breakfast. The breakfast part wasn't anything special. We ordered over medium eggs and they were cooked to perfection (which is an important thing for me so yay!), but overall the tastes just weren't anything to write home about. A very basic breakfast.
But those crepes! Their cream cheese was fantastic and the strawberries were the perfect topping in my opinion. Really filling and delicious!
You also get pretty large portions for the price!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Tony W.MN, MN01May 16, 2022
This place does not serve breakfast in the restaurant. Do not come here! You will end up going to another restaurant because the go not have in restaurant dining! You are welcome if you are from out of town like me!
This needs to be changed on Yelp. Not the way I wanted to start my Monday morning.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 2116392687May 28, 2018
We were hungry after driving through SD for a few hours and made a pit stop to this restaurant. It's right off the express way and next to a Motel 6. The place was empty and we had a waiter that seemed a bit nervous. He dropped a drink in a glass jar all over the floor. Then he took our order and a family of ten came in. We were forgotten after that. No drink refills and the bill took some time to get to us. He was by himself so we really couldn't fault him but the manager was in back and could have helped him out. We took advantage of the 2/$25 and had Oriental salads. I thought it tasted great. DD got to build her own pasta and had the alfredo sauce. It was a good value for the amount of food we got.

Best omelette I've had in 10 years!!! Built my own with onion, green pepper, American cheese and bacon. They're made the way they should be, a thin egg shell with all the yummy toppings folded in like a burrito!!! Come here, build an omelette. You will NOT be disappointed!!!
UPDATE: I have seriously not stopped thinking about this omelette... to the the point where I've scheduled an extra day during my next work trip so I can eat here twice!!!! No joke. I've also been scouring Denver for anything similar...and failed. I've been in Denver for 10 years and haven't had anything as good since I lived in the Midwest.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Please stop here. Do not let the Motel 6 attached dissuade you, nor the inexplicable cases of wine for sale in the entryway. Do not let the Asian Fusion interior paint job discourage you, nor the head-scratching retro style bbq-esque menu-- the food here is seriously good.
Get past all of that and take a chance; this is surely the best restaurant for miles around and beats any miserable chain restaurant along the highway. Bread is homemade. Hamburger bun is homemade. Chicken is hand breaded with panko and fresh Parmesan in house. Salad is neatly hand chopped and combined... clearly not a bagged salad mix. Waiter was truly outstanding and kind, food was hot and quick. You absolutely must try the hamburger with bacon, peanut butter and a fried egg (really!!) and the Penne Rosa was spicy and saucy and a whole lot better than I ever would have expected. Every single thing we tried was such a surprise for the better; you just don't find "road food" made with care and attention to detail.
Please eat here and spread the word so that when I have to make this drive across Nebraska again many times in the months to come, this place is still here and thriving. I would really appreciate it.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Beverly H.Tempe, AZ61226113Jun 8, 2017
So I was in Sioux Falls for a wedding. We needed to eat breakfast. Hopped on Yelp and found what looked like a gem of a place.
First let me start out by saying that I have a pet peeve when restaurants wont let you sub a similar priced item without a charge or wont let you substitute anything period. This was the case at the rolling pin.
Beyond that, server was okay, food was mediocre at best and the only redeeming features were it was close to where we stayed and the portions were huge.
In short if you are okay with mediocre food you cannot have your way or change at all that comes in BIG portions this place would be fine for you. For me its a one star.
To the response:
Let me say that I always have an open mind even after a substitution is not allowed. I am very surprised considering you menu even says no subs on omelettes or it will be treated like a make your own omelette which is more money. When I asked the waitress about subbing a side it an immediate no.
The food was indeed mediocre at best even my fiancé said so. Now if this is the best breakfast Sioux falls has to offer I do feel sorry for Sioux Falls. Obviously I will not be back, but regardless I think you need a better response strategy.
I understand YOU think you have the best breakfast and maybe you do. Maybe this was an isolated incident but regardless you should look into it and not continue to go on about how YOU have the best breakfast. My experience was much less than satisfactory thats obviously why I am writing this. It insults me and other people who have bad experiences for you to take the outlook that there is something wrong with me or us when clearly your restaurant fell short.
Now obviously if you cant get your head out of the clouds to fix issues with your business model then I assume you will be getting plenty more bad reviews in the future. No one is the best forever.
To the obnoxious response:
Your server charged us for only one meal we said something. We don't want free food, we want good food and good rules on subbing. Further more I didn't get a make your own omelette or sub anything because of the crazy rules your establishment has. Based on your response I am VERY glad I gave you a one star. Which I normally DRED! My only regret is we are honest and good enough people to actually tell someone when we are undercharged because we could have paid 9.00 instead of 30.00. I think you deserved 9.00. To anyone reading this, don't go here. You can obviously see this guy could care less about customers.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Bev, we're sorry to read such a passionate, personal review. We've removed our previous responses because we think yours speaks volumes on its own.
For anyone reading, we encourage you to check out our menu, which is available online. Nearly everything is customizable and we have "Build-Your-Owns" for everything.
Of course, we feel terrible about this review, but we also recognize that we can't make everyone happy all the time. We wish Bev all the best... - Elizabeth B.Dallas, TX756229479Oct 22, 2017
Went here 2 days in a row for breakfast.
Florentine Benefit was great although the sauce is a little greasy. VERY fresh spinach used.
Mediterranean omlete was OK but could do with more bleu cheese.
My partner had a build-your-own omlete and next day, the chicken tortilla soup and the Club House sandwich and said both were great.
Female server first day was very sweet and attentive. Male server the next forgot my side sausage but was friendly.
Food takes a bit to get out to you but I believe because it's cooked to order.
Brunch Buffet was out Sunday and everything looked and smelled amazingHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I knew before I came here that it was going to be a good place. I strategically made reservations at a hotel nearby just based on the reviews of this restaurant. I was less than thrilled at the exterior of the restaurant, but the inside looked newly-remodeled, clean and cozy. Exactly what you would need when taking a break from driving or from the harsh midwest weather.
I ventured a little farther from my normal food selections after I saw the breakfast menu. I got the Farmhouse Breakfast which came with three eggs, three slices of bacon, three sausage patties, fresh fruit and a blueberry muffin. You have the flexibility to choose different sides than fresh fruit and a blueberry muffin - those just happened to be my choices. I was not disappointed. It is pretty hard to mess up a breakfast, but its even harder to make your breakfast stand out among all competition. Everything was very good but I swear to you, I've never had sausage patties that good in my life. I'm practically drooling while writing this review. After driving 1400 miles over two days, this restaurant was a welcome relief!
Give Roll'n Pin a try - you will not regret it.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Andrew, thanks for your awesome review! I'm so glad you enjoyed your visit and meal. I'll tell you a little secret: we patty our own sausage patties. I think we tried ever sausage patty out there and none of them compared. Our team will love that you loved them; thanks so much. Safe travels; visit us again if you're in the area!

Plenty of seating, a few flat screens to watch, and really good food that would rival Denny's. Breakfast items, such as the Italian omelette with one side choice (I chose two fluffy pancakes) are quite palatable and simply delicious. Good customer service, nice decor- can't go wrong here.
The restaurant also serves lunch and dinner, so I imagine that the food quality is just as good as that of breakfast. If you can deal with the construction on the road out front and the occasional rif raff from the Motel 6 next door, you'll more than likely have a pleasant dining experience. Enjoy!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Hi Eric, thank you for your feedback! We're so glad you enjoyed your meal and experience at Roll'n Pin.
We're definitely excited about the road construction coming to a close--they even opened a section of road in front of us and and the intersection just down the street, so it looks like it'll be done soon! There's talks about the Motel 6 getting remodeled too...we've even seen plans with their new interior room wood floors, upgraded amenities, and updated facade. Basically, the hotel is under new ownership so improvement is forthcoming!
On behalf of the entire Roll'n Pin Team, thank you again for your feedback! - Margaret B.Valdosta, GA16224Jun 7, 2018
This is a locally owned mom and pop restaurant They do it all and if our dinners were any indication, they do it all well.
We had the asiago chicken with grilled zucchini and squash and a side salad and the country fried steak with baby red potatoes and a salad. For dessert we shared an order of the apples foster bread pudding.
Everything was delicious. The chicken came on a bed of sauteed spinach and an asiago cream sauce on top and a side of grilled garlic bread. Very tasty.
The chicken fried steak came with the typical pepper milk gravy and the same grilled bread. The potatoes were cooked to perfection.
I don't know where to begin about the bread pudding. It was fantastic. One order is enough for two people. It was so good that my resolve for just eating one bite and leaving the rest for my hubby went out the window very quickly. I didn't eat half, but I sure wanted to.
Our waitress was Janine and she was very fast and efficient. If we are ever back in this area, I would come back so that I could try some of the other items on the menu.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
