Rock Da Casbah

I come up to Kingston for the horse show, and we went into this town not knowing where to eat. But luckily we found this place. This is the best place I've ever eaten at. It's so great. Both my sister and my mother are vegetarian and there are so many great options. THE MAGIC MUSHROOMS WERE SO GREAT. Wonderful aesthetic. I love rock music, so a place like this really excites me. I really recommend this place. Very good service and great food.

Awesome place with SUPER friendly staff, great live music, and an awesome location.
Kale salad was 10/10 & so were the spring rolls.
So happy to live down the street from here! Cant wait to come back

I'm not seeing the hype. The fried chicken wasn't particularly good. But the service was good.

Saugerties was bumping on a Saturday night in mid-October. My mom and I came in to Rock Da Casbah after being told at another restaurant that we would have to wait an hour and a half to get a table. We walked in to Rock Da Casbah and was asked if we had reservations. We said we didn't, but it didn't matter because we were asked which of the two tables that were open we would want to sit at, and were seated immediately. We picked the table away from the singing duo, so we could converse better. It was pretty awesome being in a restaurant and listening to live music, as that is extremely rare back home during COVID. It was like pre-COVID. Carefree and fun.

The service was good. The only complaint is that it took us a while to get the the attention of our waitress to obtain the check, but other than that, it was fine. Also, my mom ordered two old fashioned drinks. The first one was done right, the second one my mom said did not even remotely taste like an old fashioned. So, we really aren't sure what it was.

I had the fried chicken and it was delicious. It was moist and crispy and flavorful. My mom had a beef dish and really enjoyed it.

I liked the decor and it was hippie and also fun. I especially liked the guitar chairs. I was feeling the vibes in the place. I wish this place was closer to home, because I feel like this could be a fun place to get a drink and stay for dinner on a monthly basis. I also really liked the names of the drinks. They were catchy and witty. I wish I could have remembered some.

Loved the vibe in this place and the bartender who didn't miss a beat, seating people, taking orders and mixing up drinks. We had two excellent drinks and four appetizers that were delicious. The psychedelic mushrooms were incredible and served with a delicious bread. Also had the shrimp skewers, the spring rolls, and the Disco fries. All were great!

While we waited the band came in to play and we enjoyed the music. Great place!

Forgot a picture coz I was starving but the pork belly sandwich was so good. I think it had kimchi too which seemed to pair real well. Fries on point, not too salty. Vegan Mac and cheese was good, I needed more salt but still decent. I did ask for less cheese sauce and that could be it too. Would definitely go back for good food even though prices seems a tad bit steep

One of the best meals I have had in a long time. Service, food, good vibes/music, , all on point.

Walking into Rock Da Casbah, I didn't expect to have one of the most delicious vegan meals ever.

Their prices are amazing!!! The disco fries (vegan cheese of course) were delicious. The mushrooms were out of this world and the tempeh sandwich was actually delicious.

I've been vegan for 3 years, and I NEVER order vegan sandwiches because they're usually terrible. This restaurant is an exception. The tie dye cheese cake was pretty decent too.

The ambiance is cute and supports local entertainment/bands.

Can't recommend enough!!

This was my first indoor dining experience in more than a year, and it felt extremely safe. We were very distanced from other tables, all staff masked, etc. The food was a delightful surprise. We weren't sure what we were getting, as we stopped in unexpectedly, but YUM. We had the fries (hot and fresh), edamame potstickers (mmmm), black bean chili (tasty -- though less of a standout than everything else), and the kale salad (tasted fresh and ingredients seemed of great quality). Dessert was the apple crisp and HOLY moly: hot and absolutely marvelous. Highly recommend also ordering the vanilla ice cream to eat along with the crisp -- perfection. Our waitress was wonderful and attentive, and the experience was a total delight top to bottom. Made me remember just what I had been missing about going out to eat! Highly recommend.

I love to stop at this quaint, tiny spot whenever I am in Saugerties for a drink, music or yummy eats. When I'm in the mood for vegan comfort food, this is my go to. The vegan Mac and Cheese is the bomb as well as some of the other vegan options on the menu. I have yet to be disappointed. The owner is super friendly and really cares about the food presentation for eat in and take out. I recommend checking out this spot if you're in town.
