Attended a meeting being held here. As a previous reviewer stated, the restaurant is under new ownership. We had the opportunity to learn more about the owner and her history in the restaurant and hospitality business. She is a seasoned veteran and our dining experience resembled that. She also offers full catering off site as well as a host of other services. Most importantly, my food was good. We were served a salad, lunch and dessert. The salad was pretty good, though my colleagues weren't really fans of it. I immensely enjoyed my crab cakes. Overall, fantastic experience.

Took a large party there for dinner in a private room this past Friday. Our reservation was for 7PM and the restaurant was all but dead. That should have told us something. The service was slow and disorganized. REQUIRED us to sit according to how the checks would be divided. It took nearly 45 min to get our initial drink orders filled and almost 2 hours to get our food to the table.

A few in our party had good food The fish fry, fries and chicken strips were apparently the silver lining. It's safe to say they have the fryer mastered but not much else.

I ordered the filet, medium-rare. It came out medium-well with cold vegetables on the plate, and it definitely didn't appear to be the 8oz. that they advertised on the menu. I was forced at that point to send it back. Soon after I was informed that they were out of filet. I then ordered the pasta. The sauce was good but there didn't seem to be much pasta in the bowl. The meatballs were okay but they seemed like they might be frozen meatballs. Nothing special.

Several in our party ordered prime rib but the size there also seemed well below the advertised weight. It was cut very thin. One of the children in our party waited to get their meal until I was served with my second order after the filet fiasco. No idea what happened here other than they forgot to put the order in.

Overall presentation of the food was terrible in my opinion. For a restaurant at this price point in Batavia, NY I would have expected better overall food quality and appealing presentation.

I wish I could tell you that the bar service was at least good. Simply not the case. One in our party opened his Coors Light and said it tasted old. I ordered a Corona myself and it tasted fine but sadly the lime wedge with it appeared dry aged, absolutely disgusting and looked more like a pickle than a lime. I ordered a second one a little later and much to my chagrin the lime that came with it was much the same. Decided not to press my luck again. Another in the party ordered a mixed drink and said it was watered down. Another person ordered a screw driver. They indicated they were out of orange juice but could make it with pineapple juice. Really???

Finally when it was time to check out and we waited far longer than we should have for 6 bills divided among the party of 20 people. We sat the way they demanded so why the delay? Finally got the checks and you guessed it, they got it wrong. They combined another family's bill with mine. We figured it out amongst ourselves to avoid further delays.

In fairness they did comp my steak that they got wrong and the pasta they replaced it with. They also comped the meal of the child that took forever to come out. In an effort to find something to be positive about, then read was fresh and tasted good. We especially liked the zucchini bread. Still I can see no scenario where I would ever return to this restaurant.

I think the wait staff was trying their best but they clearly had little training and no support from the kitchen or the bar. I could not in good conscience recommend eating here, ever!

This restaurant is under new management and people should look under Rochester Club West @ Bohns for new reviews.
That being said I ate there with 3 friends on a Saturday night and had a wonderful meal and service. Tenderloin was cooked perfectly with a Bacon Gorgonzola sauce that was to die for. Dessert of poached pears was also delightful. Compliments to the bartender that was spot on with the drinks and to the server who did a fantastic job of dealing with the 4 of us not knowing what we wanted. A great experience...please visit and see for yourself.

Most of the reviews seemed a bit older and so perhaps the food is now better, or I lucked out, but for our table of 5, all of us enjoyed our food.

Begin : 3.5 / 5 (I hope they add decimals, I hate picking between 3 or 4) went down to 3 instead because the bathroom grossed me out for being in such a nicer place.

We walked in and although we reserved for 4, 5 of us showed, we asked to switch it and there wasn't even a wait (despite how absolutely crowded it was) and were told our table would be ready immediately, and we could either go sit or check in at the bar. My family, being..well..my family, opted for the bar. It was a nice smaller bar, and the bartenders were incredibly friendly despite how busy they were making drinks for a bunch of the waitresses I believe. After getting our drinks we went to our table.

The dining area was completely crowded, and the buffet area even busier (I took a peek in to see what that was like). We met our waitress pretty quickly, I wish I could remember her name for the review, but she was incredibly friendly as was the hostess who led us there.

After glancing over the menu (and staring at the incredibly high prices) we made our decisions. For appetizers we ordered the mushrooms, as well as Shrimp. For our meals we ordered the Chicken Oscar x3 and Roasted Turkey x2. All of the meals came with a salad + 1 side, I had Rice Pilaf, 3 had Sweet Potato Mashed, and 1 had twice baked.

Before our food came I went to go wash my hands in the restroom, I was kind of taken aback... the entire restaurant was spotless and perfect until I hit this room. The toilets appeared to not be cleaned in hours (or all day), and the garbage was looong overdue to be taken out, as paper towel was spilling out all over the floor. The sink top had water all over it, and I was very disappointed that it was so disgusting. I can understand with so many people inside a few things falling behind, but this was just a bit much. The sit-down stalls were what I would personally consider unusable as well, I sure wouldn't sit on them.. I washed my hands and planned, and returned to my table.

The appetizers came out without too much of a wait, and they were acceptable. The shrimp was very plump and delicious, however there was only 4 (for 10 dollars), so it was a bit costly. The sauce it came with also seems a bit watered down and bland for the cost, but it was still very good shrimp overall. The mushrooms, although I don't eat them, pleased everyone who did, and they had no complaints about them.

Our salads came out shortly after, not much to report on that, a salad is a salad. It was all fresh ingredients and was everything I'd ever expect a salad to be. They were delivered with a big bread basket as well, the bread was also everything I'd expect bread to be.

Our meals came out after a wait that was very appropriate for the amount of people in the restaurant, so no complaints for service or time at all. Everyone loved what they ordered. My chicken was done PERFECT, it was so juicy and full of flavor. The sauce was excellent, as was the crab meat topping. The asparagus it came with was very thick and fresh but I feel that could have been cooked a little better. It came with a side of seasonal veggies that were cooked well enough but lacking some flavor I felt.

After finishing our meals the waitress showed up with an entire tray of the days desserts, 2 of us chose to share one, I believe it was "Salted Caramel Crunch" or something, although 4 of us ended up taking bites. The two of us who ordered it liked it, I found it to be a bit strong on the taste but still very good. One disliked it and felt it was too strong to even enjoy.

Bill came, super expensive as we thought.
Were we satisfied with the food? Oh absolutely, it was amazing.
But was it worth the cost? Not quite. But it was still great.
Also I feel the busboy or whoever is in charge of cleaning should maybe check the restrooms more frequently during busy days. I took an image of the garbage with a some of the stuff on the ground, not the rest of it though.

      All in all 3.5.

I had an outstanding meal tonight. We have got to eat here more often. Since they changed ownership, the food is outstanding. I find the menu inventive, fresh, and varied. They have a vegetarian section on the menu, with at least one vegan option. I ordered the Vegetable Wellington, Caesar salad, and twice baked potato. My husband had the beer battered haddock dinner with garden salad, and twice baked potato. I stuck with ice water, my husband enjoyed the brewed unsweetened iced tea. Our server was attentive, friendly, and professional. The decor could use an upgrade, but it didn't have an impact on our overall experience. We will be back - soon!

Place is dated but the food was good, waiter was friendly and efficient and it is moderately priced. Ask for a booth off the bar as it is much more private.
We had a party of five and only one wasn't thrilled. Her fettuccine Alfredo was just ok...

Was there for their Easter brunch, the food was marvelous, it is under a new owner, and the food and service is now 5 star quality. I highly recommend the prime rib, was a beautiful cut cooked perfectly, and try any of the deserts, we all tried a different one and shared, and wow. We will be going back to try their Friday fish fry

I was at Bohn's for an all day meeting recently. Six hours is a long time to spend in any place, let alone a smallish room so I will be charitable.

The room was okay. There's no other way to put it. The organization I was working with booked a much larger room and we got bumped. Not a big deal except that the room was not ideal for what we were attempting to accomplish.

Normally, during a meeting, I expect the wait staff to check in to make sure that everything was going well. They may have, but I did not notice it.

We ordered off the menu and, this being the first Friday of Lent, I dutifully ordered a fish fry with very low expectations. Luckily for me, my expectations were well exceeded. Yea! In addition, it seemed that everyone was pleased with their meal.

Would I make the trek from Buffalo to Batavia to dine at this establishment? Probably not. Would I gladly meet a friend for lunch or dinner here? You bet!

If I could give this restaurant less than one star, I would. I was here for a rehearsal dinner and no one in the room could eat their meal. The chicken had the consistency of cafeteria chicken nuggets, the "mushroom" sauce tasted like flour and water mixed together with a couple mushrooms thrown in, the vegetables were overcooked, and the potato was either instant or as old as the building itself. If this meal had been served to me in a hospital cafeteria I would've been disappointed.

In addition to the embarrassingly awful food, no one came out from the kitchen to ask why every plate was sent back nearly untouched. Stay far, far away from this place.
