Don't plan on using their Yelp check-in deal! They won't honor it.

I was told that they can only offer the 10% off check-in deal if I signed up for their VIP program, which costs $19.99 for one year. However, by joining the program then I would get 10% off all purchases anyway and the Yelp deal would be irrelevant. Why offer a check-in discount if you will only honor it when I sign up for your VIP program that automatically offers a discount anyway?

Also know that by walking into this store, you will feel pressured by the employees to make a purchase for shoes, insoles and whatever else they may offer you. It was pretty neat to use the "shoe dog" because it helps you figure out the best type of shoe based on how you walk/run, but it was a fairly uncomfortable experience overall.

I finally made the walk up to RRS after a few years of half-committed running and I am so glad that I stopped by. Aysha immediately welcomed me to the store, and gave me a quick summary of what I should be looking for here.

We got started right away with the movement exercises on the treadmill to log my running and walking movement at foot and leg level. After some analysis, we were able to setup a few custom insoles to help me on my next running adventures. Aysha was very kind and explanatory throughout the experience, and I am thrilled with the results of the insoles.

We also learned more about the types of runners or gym shoes that I should be using, and I was definitely surprised to have been ill fitted elsewhere... (looking at you, ON). Aysha did a great job and I left the store with a new pair of gym shoes, insoles, and a smile.

I will definitely be back. This team seems great.

Aysha was so awesome! You can tell that she loves her job and she really cares about getting you the best pair of shoes. She was super thorough in assessing how I walk on the treadmill, my arches and Achilles flexibility! She's a great listener and even helped me realized that I was actually wearing the wrong size shoe this whole time. 10/10 would recommend.

Wanted to check into the yelp page to do the 10% off promotion offer that was showing on the yelp page but when I asked the guy at the front desk that was checking me out he said he had no idea what that was or how to apply the promotion. How does an employee not know the promotion they are running? Very disappointed with the customer service here and hope the employees get a training on the current promotions. Ended up paying the original price but was disappointed as I had came in for the promotion discount.

Aysha who are you? Because you are the nicest girl that I have met since visiting Portland. Aysha helped me out before my marathon her service to me was really cool and she even discovered that I had an upgrade from a basic VIP to the next one up, which is a game changer adding value to the shopping experience. I was able to get Race gels before the 2023 PDX marathon. Ambiance is pretty relaxing and the quality of products they have there are excellent. I hope to buy my next pair of shoes there when I make another visit out there. Thank you Aysha!!!

I've been here a couple times for shoes.

I've had my feet measured for what kind of fit I needed- although it says 8, all the sales rep failed to realized that I needed wide. So, they try to fit me into a smaller size than what I need and normalized it saying it should be snug.

They aren't here to provide customer services they are here to convince you to buy things that you don't need.

They seem to pass me by because I'm not a typical runner stereotype.

Liz was extremely helpful!! My mom and I have been shoe shopping for years trying to find the best shoes for our feet. Liz was very thorough and helped us feel confident in our shoe picks and what our needs were. She met all of them! Especially as a nurse (my mom is also a nurse) we needed more information on the right shoes and how to take care of our feet. We will be returning customers for sure!

First of all, there is NO bike parking here, despite what they say ... unless you consider a broken rack behind a garbage dumpster bike parking.

Second, the sales people are WAY too pushy, and are not very knowledgeable about running. This is more of an over-priced running "fashion" store.

The store has a great selection of all your running goods needs. If you're looking for Brooks or Hoka, this is a great location to come to before you go on your run. From Goodr glasses to GU energy gels, shop here, and you'll be happy you did. The staff is masked up and friendly to serve you.
