So what do you do on a Sunday afternoon when you're bored and feel ambitious?? Go get a tattoo of course! My boyfriend has never gotten a tattoo before but has been planning on getting one for sometime now. He made his own design and really wanted to get it done! So he started looking around Milwaukee area and it was by faith's design that he came across Riverwest Tattoo Company. My boyfriend was speaking on the phone with one of the artist when he had mentioned the name Mason to us and my friend who was with us at the time immediately made the connection that our old high school was that person! We immediately said absolutely since we new how passionate Mason was in high school for their artistry. Appointment was booked and we were on our way! The shop was so amazing! Tattoo Art everywhere! and so many plants too! I loved it! The waiver process was easy and Mason got my boyfriend ready to go in the chair within 10 mins. I was very impressed by the speed in which everyone worked! I got to sit and watch him get his tat and he told me it was painless and he was all finished in under 20 mins! What a deal! I have smaller tattoos and they took much longer than that! That goes to show the talent that Mason has with their hands and their creativity! Boyfriend was so very excited to finally have his own tat and have something that means a great deal to him everywhere he goes now!

Highly recommend Riverwest and Mason! I will certainly be coming back to get my own done, and will recommend to all my friends and family!

Love it here. Izzy is the coolest ever and makes the process fun and a lot more enjoyable than just sitting there. the environment of the shop is awesome. I won't be going anywhere else from now on.

Shop is very clean, COVID conscious and a great atmosphere. I was greeted enthusiastically and professionally right away. I got 2 small words done by Lennox. They were helpful and enthusiastic about working with me to get them just right before starting. They worked quickly and I was very pleased with the results. Will absolutely be coming back for larger pieces sooner rather than later. I highly reccomend the shop and Lennox for any scripts/linework any day!

This place came highly recommended but the customer service is terrible. Despite multiple attempts to coordinate appointments, it took a few calls for me to finally get something scheduled. It snowed hard the morning of the appointment, so I messaged and emailed to confirm (no voice mail available). I didn't hear back so drove through snowstorm only to wait outside an empty storefront. When I messaged that we were there, I finally heard back. They said, sorry they were closed because of snow. That's it. Nothing else.

My best friend moved away today and we decided last minute we needed tattoos. Gina was able to get us in yesterday. Firstly, Gina is just awesome in general. Really easy to get along with and had good tips about where to put our design. She was also very patient with us while we debated for a good 35 minutes about where we were going to put the tattoos. We brought her a really simple design but she executed it perfectly.

Aside from Gina being awesome, she was very professional. I also really enjoyed this tattoo shop for its ambiance. Plus, my friend and I are true Riverwesters so we like keeping it local. I would definitely go here again.

Second time in getting a retouch by Chris Steffex (Honest). Love it! They even handled my loud giggles. Would highly recommend going there.

I love this tattoo shop, the people are very friendly and make you feel right and home. i had my tattoo done by john Tierney, he redid a tattoo that i had done a couple of years ago that was not great. I loved that he took his time and the end result was awesome and just what i wanted. i was able to sit there and joke with the whole staff and talk and see what others where having done. I highly recommend this place for anyone that wants to have a great detailed tattoo done.

Had my first tattoo done here, and I'm so happy with how it turned out. After going to a different place for my second I realized how great riverwest truly is. I will never get a tattoo in Milwaukee again if it isn't at riverwest. Cool artist who deliver just what you want.
