Ristorante Antonio

Wow! This place is a cannot miss if you're in the Portofino, St. Margarita Ligure, or Rapallo area! The service was so SO excellent, the staff are so kind, so helpful, and informative. Food is also very excellent, please try the mussels if you can! Do your best to come to Ristorante Antionio!!!! (Make a reservation for the weekend)

Outstanding seafood as expected from other reviews. Ordered the mixed raw seafood appetizer, which included tuna, whitefish, langostein, and lobster. So fresh and tasty. Entrees : squid ink ravioli stuffed with shrimp with shrimp tomato sauce (a special, delicious) and sea bass with shaved black truffle (also delicious). The highlight was the special seasonal dessert, wild strawberries with house made vanilla ice cream. It was all so good, but by far the most expensive dinner we've had in Italy (after going to expensive restaurants in Rome including Michelin star restaurants). The high price is par for the course in Santa, however.

This restaurant will turn you away if you bring a baby.

It's poorly located within the area in a dark street with poor parking options.

Not mug to say about the food because if you come with a baby they turn you away.

Should check with the local authorities if it's legal....

Not really review, but an experience: Laura meet me under the entry boughs at 7:40. I was one of 3 guests. She explained the daily dishes with a remarkable Australian accent. My order was delivered "presto"
and hot. 0f course, outside seating in late May is an incomparable advantage to an experience in Liguria.
By 8:45 when I departed they were busy.

Great! The atmosphere is romantic and the staff is friendly with foreigners. However it still keeps the authenticity of the local restaurant with good prices.

As an Italian coming with a foreigner, I felt welcomed and the staff was trying their best to communicate in English.

The food is typical and fresh. Good selection of wines and recommendations from the staff.

The atmosphere of the courtyard is very romantic and typical Italian even without the view of the sea.

Buon ristorante, ve lo consiglio!

This was our best restaurant while in Santa Margherita. We walked in around 9P without a reservation and were seated right away. Our waiter was great, he explained each dish and had wine recommendations as well. The food was great and finished with a peach dessert that was excellent, not your standard Italian dessert.
The only thing I did not like was the location, the street was very dark and if you were not looking for this place you might miss it, so walk a little further because it's worth it.

Very slow service, 30 minutes to order a bottle of wine, then they wanted us to order dinner with the wine, said best way to get fast service! Food under par for any restaurant in Santa Margherita, service also. So many other great restaurants in the area and not off the beaten path. Table next to us also sent back their food!

Fantastico! Family of five enjoyed amazing dinner here with fresh and delicious caprese salad followed by three different pasta dishes. All were incredible, fresh and tasty. Linguine with pesto, gnocchi with cream sauce and tagliatelle with fresh tomato and basil. We enjoyed meeting Antonio and his lovely daughter, Ilaria! She was warm, welcoming and full of great advice. I highly recommend!

My family of 6 walked in at 10:30pm and were sat without question. The food and wine was wonderful and the service was impeccable. A must try.

The best restaurant in the area. Amazing food, amazing service. Ask for the waiter's suggestions and go with it. They never steer you wrong.
