Amazing process and all fast! I went to two other dealerships and they gave me crap numbers on my lease buy out and option of a new car for lease and finance. Well I decided a third option and went back to Right Honda since I got my precious Pilot from them 3 years ago. And well I'm truly glad I did. Monthly payment was cheaper by almost $300 and I got it financed rather than a lease.
So thank you Trystan for working hard and to all your managers for getting me what I wanted for the new pilot and finally financing and getting to own rather than lease
I am truly going back here rather than dealerships closer to my house
As always, thank you Right Honda team!!!Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Min, congratulations on your new Honda, we are very pleased we were able to get you a great deal. Thank you very much for recommending our dealership, we appreciate your business and the great review.

Marc and Chris was awesome and got me to what I asked for and they never stopped. Based on their skills I am saving hundreds of dollars in my pocket from my previous Honda Pilot I had. They met my needs and recommend right Honda before any other dealer. I've gone to other dealers and they were still above my budget! Ask for Marc or Chris: SERIOUSLY!!! - Mar 24, 2024
Where to begin....
The internet sales manager was kind, the lot was clean and had a nice ambiance. Staff seemed happy to be there with a large amount of other prospective buyers on the lot so I thought this would be a good place to look for me new ride. Not so much!
The "guys in the back" as the sales manager put it told me that I wasn't qualified through my credit Union or Capital One financing which I have and showed them proof I was.
The initial process changed, then their add ons changed again. What started out as a nice afternoon quick turned to a waste of time being told my credit Union would have to send payment to their finance company... that's not at all how it works and I knew.
I would give 0 stars but you cannot, they're not a company I would recommend to anyone unless you want to be taken advantage of.
Actions speak louder than words and I wish that I did not have the experience that I had. Maybe you're not in the loop of what actually happens to your potential customers but I only comment in a factual basis to inform the public and you of what occurred. There was no misunderstanding or miscommunication, I made myself VERY clear that I had the cash in hand to pay the difference and that I only wished to use my financing before I was told "your Credit Union would have to send payment to our finance company".Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Jay, we are sorry the transaction did not work out for you. We have many financing options available and we are more than willing to accept our customer's alternative financing options. We really do not care how you pay for the vehicle, as long as the total amount for the vehicle is covered. We do not make a habit of turning customers away for any reason, so there must have been an issue covering the total amount necessary. We do not "take advantage" of customers. The pricing we provide is transparent and we are always willing to provide a full breakdown of the transaction so customers can make the decision that is right for them.

What a waste of time this dealership is and dishonest tactics of trying to bait and switch customers. I'll start by saying they advertise a vehicle online at a low price to get you to believe it's still for sale and on the lot, set you up with a time to come in and look at it (confirming it's there), only to find out the car magically sold during that time frame. Probably one of the shadiest things a car dealer could do. Thankfully I didn't waste my 35 minute drive only to find this out and if it wasn't for me calling in, I would've probably wasted the trip. Stay away from this dishonest:
Updating based on the Managers response: this is complete bull response because when I called to confirm our appointment, the sales guy's immediate response wasn't "great we'll see you soon and I have the car pulled up" like he said he was going to do the day prior. I asked if the vehicle was still available and he played dumb saying it should be and it was earlier and then he proceeded to ask if that particular trim was the only one we were interested in. Why would anyone ask that question knowing we were coming in for a specific vehicle.
He knew we just left for our appointment to buy the vehicle, he made no mention that he knew it was sold in hopes we would waste our drive to then try and get us into buying a more expensive vehicle that was similar. This is called bait and switch....Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

MJ, we advertise our pre-owned inventory very aggressively and we sell these vehicles very quickly. We are sorry for the inconvenience.

Wow. Buying a car is easy with these guys. No games, kept their word, fast and informative. Tristan walked us through step by step. He helped us get the deal in our price range. Walter in finance explained everything thoroughly. No time wasting. I was honestly nervous from nightmares with previous dealers. Hope to work with Tristan and Walter again. Highly recommended.

Stopped by Right Honda for a used Toyota 4Runner and was surprised that match Carmax offers on trade ins! That's where the pros ended. Car price was inflated vs local competition, they wouldn't budge on bs add-ons and junk fees, and they told me the deal came with a "gentleman's agreement" to not refinance for a few months. We walked out. Went to Bell Toyota where we were actually treated with respect and got a better deal.

Car service was just okay, I was disappointed because I expected more. First of all, I had to wait as soon as I drove up for someone to greet me. There were two guys in front of a podium but they were deep in conversation. Finally, someone came over and told me "someone" will be right over. Then suddenly a car drove up behind me and "someone" took care of them right away! Not nice... my car was finally taken to the back for service and it didn't take long and the rep was very thorough in his explanation of what was accomplished. The customer lounge offered tea and coffee, wished they had water bottles. All in all, I guess they were all right...

Inday, thank you for the feedback. We apologize we did not take care of your needs in the order of arrival, we meant no offense. We make mistakes occasionally and we understand waiting can be very frustrating. Thank you for your business, and we hope to see you again so we can get a second chance to serve you better next time.

I messaged emailed the business manager as directed in his response but didn't get an email back from that either so I filed a BBB complaint, to which I received an extremely swift response from Ed, the finance manager. Although he defended the sneaky addition of the desert protection package, he was nice and professional and helped to resolve my issue of getting my tint scheduled and even added on some additional services to help make up some of the price added by the package and acknowledged some of my complaints as valid. I would leave 2 1/2 stars if I could, he was great but it's unfortunate it took a BBB complaint to receive that response.
I don't want to be entirely negative here. IF you go into Right Honda and know how to ask all the correct questions to uncover added fees and packages, you could have a really nice and swift experience but make sure you do your homework.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Chad,
1. All the additions (window tint, etc.) are disclosed by law on the addendum for every new Honda on our lot. It is incumbent up the customer to read this information.
2. We matched the payment you wanted for the vehicle and leased you a new Honda, no surprise there. Some showmanship in sales can be expected whether at a dealer or any other sales environment. Boredom does not sell.
3. The only time the mileage is of consequence on a lease is when the vehicle is returned to the Lessor. Only about 2-3% of Honda leases are returned to HFC. Most lease customers actually have equity in their vehicle at the end of the lease, why give that away?
4. This is our fault and we apologize. If you will please contact me, I will make sure the appropriate person reaches you to take care of the issues you need addressed.
5. Politics can be a polarizing issue during conversation and should be avoided when dealing with the public. Again, we apologize this subject was brought up unsurreptitiously.
Matt W. - CR Mgr. - Right Honda / mwinter@righthonda.comMar 13, 2024Previous reviewA word of caution about Right Honda.
Recently I had been car shopping and went into Right Honda to check out a Honda Civic. I admitted to my salesperson that I really didn't know what I was doing as it pertained to leasing a vehicle so during the sales pitch there was an explanation about what that meant. We talked about how often I drive and what the vehicle would be used for. The sales pitch was pretty aggressive and the conversation centered around the monthly payment. A few times I said no, but he insisted that I name a crazy number that I would feel comfortable with. Coming back with that number in hand he says:
"Have you ever won the lottery?"
"Give me a hug"
Against my best judgement I agree and head back to finance where I do all the paperwork for the leased vehicle. The next day I actually do my own research on what it means to lease a vehicle and how things like mileage, residual value, trade-in, and interest rate all play into the monthly payment on a lease. When I compared the advertised price of the vehicle on the website with the gross capitalized cost on my paperwork, there was an almost 10k difference which taxes, fees, and interest cannot add up to.
I call in and was able to get a different guy in finance to actually break down the 40k to me, which included an almost $3,000 "desert protection package" that includes things like window tint and a clear hood bra. When asking my sales guy about it, he directs me to talk to his boss, the guy who did my paperwork, and I leave a message for him to call me back. I never get a response. Next, I leave a message for the head of finance to which I also don't get a response.
I decide to just take the loss and tell my sales guy to schedule the appointment to get my car tinted and he says he'll get back to me and never follows up. The next week I send another text asking what's going on and get no response. Today I sent a third follow up text and haven't heard anything. They were extremely quick texting me when it came to trying to sell me a vehicle, and awfully slow post-sale.
There's an abundance of information out there that says to never trust car dealerships and to do your shopping at home, and because of that ultimately I can only blame myself for asking the right questions to uncover why and what they were charging me for. There are a few things that really leave a bad taste in my mouth though.
1. While my salesperson let me know they do things like tint to the vehicles, it was never brought up as an add-on package and the price was never once mentioned, nor was it itemized in my paperwork. It took calling in after the fact to have to broken down to me.
2. My salesperson made a big scene when he came back with a $400/mo. payment and said "Have you ever won the lottery?!?" In reality, when you combine the 36 payments, my trade-in, and the high residual value of the car that I would purchase at the end, it's not much better than a finance and certainly not "Winning the lottery." The whole theater really makes my skin crawl thinking back on it. I remember my sales person saying to me as we got out of the car after the test drive:
"If I find a deal that makes 100% sense to you, you can't be mad at me right?"
3. I didn't catch that the yearly miles was dropped from 13k per out conversations, to 11k. Again, this number is there so it's really my fault but we discussed my usage in our conversations and I will blow past this number so I'm either forced to lease another vehicle before the end or buy it outright. This doesn't feel like having your customer's best interest in mind.
4. Post sale I try to have a conversation with my finance guy who I was directed to by my sales guy when I said I had concerns, never responded. His boss never responded. After deciding I would take the loss and get the tint that was charged to me, my sales guy initially said he would follow up and never did. Two additional texts were sent and ignored.
5. Sales pitch was aggressive and politics were even brought into the conversation. At one point I was told interest rates would be lower at the end of my least, as a selling point for leasing now and when I asked why I was told "Do you see who's in office right now?"
It's an expensive learning lesson that unless you ask questions, you won't get all the information. I can only blame myself for signing on the dotted line, but the entire experience left an awful taste in my mouth. I'm looking forward to the end of my lease so I can purchase my vehicle and never deal with Right Honda again. - Jose B.Phoenix, AZ01Apr 14, 2024
