Richie's Burger Urge

Damn.

The fresh cut fries, the tasty ass burger.

My daughter devoured the burger in a matter of minutes.

Every single fry was eaten.

I wish there was a location in Seattle!

Best bet, we will be coming back to Richie's every single time we come back to Poulsbo!

Wow! Richie's Burger Urge is the real deal! My sister-in-law, who moved up here from California said this is the closest thing to In-N-Out she has had. With a bold statement like that I had to stop in and check it out.

Richie's Burger Urge is phenomenal! Burgers tasted amazing, fries were incredible hot and salted wonderfully, all around a very solid place to go for burgers and fries.

Staff were friendly here. Pictures of hot rods adorned the walls. The food here is all made to order. I loved the burger!

All in all I will definitely be back when I am in the area. I was amazed at how these burgers tasted and the fries were fried to perfection. Definitely stop in and try it out!

Pretty competent staff in terms of flipping burgers and giving great customer service. Decent menu for a small burger joint.

However, I really don't get the urge for Richie's Burger Urge. I've been there about four times since they opened some years ago and I've been underwhelmed every single time.

They do make the burger right. It's kind of fun to watch them do the short-order cook thing on the grill with the meat and such. So I have no issues with the taste or how the burgers are prepared. I'm just not sure why I find them just pretty average.

I am still trying to find the urge to go again.

To be honest, I walked in expecting more given the other reviews. I'd been meaning to try this place for a while.

The anticipation didn't match the experience.

Don't get me wrong, the food was okay. The cheese on the burger was melted perfectly, and the bacon was very good. The rest of the burger was lackluster. The patties are kinda flat, and didn't really seem to be seasoned. The bun was unremarkable. The secret sauce didn't really make much of an appearance. The fries were a bit too shoestring for my tastes.

The coke machine was a small version of the ones that have everything and was notably missing diet grape anything.

The people were pleasant enough, and food didn't take too long after ordering. The restaurant is small, and seating was at a premium. The parents with five children that came in after us had to split themselves up along the bar stools along the window.

This is the only Fast Food I'd eat, when I get the Burger Urge, of course. lol! Each order made fresh! Great Old fashioned style burgers, fries and Malts (which I love!)
Order yours with cheese and cooked onions on top, a messy good burger with fresh lettuce and tomato! Great friendly service and prices, I can see this being a good stop on the way back from peninsula adventures!

The YELP reviews for this restaurant are all over the board. So I gave it a try...I like the no frill atmosphere, its simple and I like that.

The menu is equally as simple...the richie burgers or something veggy...why be something you're not, again its simple and I like that.

I tried the Oregon Harvest veggie burger, the kids and their gang gor various Richie burgers...we got two baskets of fries to share. I think everyone liked their burgers, but Christi wasnt a fan for the Richie sauce...ok. I liked my veggie burger, it was good. The fries were good also... not mcdonalds, but good fries. All in all the food was good, perhaps a bit greasy but good.

I dont know why it bothers me when someone asks to see some ID when I use a credit card...perhaps it is the act of giving it a look...regardless of how quick it happens. But that bothers me...if you have some valid reason to see my ID, and because I dont sign the back of my cards is not a good reason in my book...at least look at it long enough to verify the name or see if the picture is me...you are not providing me any protection of fraud use...!

So, would I go back...absolutely. I enjoyed my meal, the people were polite, the atmosphere is okay...give em' a try, make up your own mind...these are good people providing a simple but good product...filling a nitch here in Kitsap...go enjoy.

Perfect dbl cheese burger! Staff is welcoming you and does help you, if you can´t decide between all the mouthwatering burgers ;)
My dbl cheeseburger felt like a dbl dbl dbl dbl burger; the pattys were perfect, bun as well. French fries are home made and pressed by hand through the machine. The sauces they put on the burger were not my favourite, that´s why my review is "only" 4 stars :)

Well, until they get another really good Burger in Kitsap, As a Burger Guy, I have to go with Richie's for the Best Burger in Kitsap County. This Plain Jane type of Burger spot is not fancy but has a classy old school 50's style to it. They boast to use only fresh meat. They due have a Veggie Option as well as a Grilled Cheese. As far as Burgers, It is as Close to "In-N-Out style" that we can get up here in the Northwest. The Fries are Great and you can Choose from Shakes, Malts & they have Coke products (Woo Hoo). I even recently noticed they now have Chili too !!

I'd have to say to go with the Double Cheeseburger, Loaded and with Regular onions (You may have grilled if you like), It will fill you up but somehow wishing you could have another...... MMmmm, It's that good.

Finally got a chance to try this little gem after visiting my dad in poulsbo. Hands down the best burger joint in Kitsap.

I got the double cheeseburger combo with ultimate fries. The burger was nice and greasy (which is a must for any burger joint as far as I'm concerned) with just the right amount of toppings and cheese, the ultimate fries were kind of like animal style at in and out but with their own flair (pickles, grilled onions, jalepenos, cheese, and their special sauce which is similar to thousand island). I'll probably get them minus the pickles next time but they were very good.

The place was very clean, the employees were friendly, and the plaque on the wall in the men's restroom alone is worth the trip.

All in all while it wasn't the best burger joint I've ever been to, it's definitely better than anything I've tried in kitsap. You're getting the same amount and slightly better quality than groovey burger and you'll spend about 5 bucks less.

This a solid 4. We had a large Ultimate Fries...we came and we conquered. We didn't expect so many pickles to be in there, so if you're a pickle lover, you're set. The fries were a 3.5 but the customer service made it a 4. The lady at the register was so sweet and thoughtful.
