Worst experience every! Young kids with a truck and trailer. They came late in mid-afternoon and it was very hot so they were struggling. I offered water, time to rest, food, to be kind. They underestimated how long it would take and asked if they could come back the next day since it was so hot. I said yes because I felt sorry for them in the heat. But the next day the owner, Joseph, then said he would charge me extra for having to come back!! Since it was a big job and so hot, we decided to let that go and pay them despite this lack of integrity. They took off the backs of our electric recliner sofa to make it easier to carry and re-assembled them once inside. They finished unloading and setting up and asked us to sign the paperwork that they had finished the job. We signed it and they left. But within the hour after they left, I called them because the electric recliner sofa wasn't working after they had re-attached the backs. Joseph said he couldn't come that week because they wouldn't be in the area. I said we could wait till the following week. I called the next week and he said they were busy and that if they did come, he would have to charge me because I signed the paperwork!! They clearly broke the sofa, but he was going to charge me to fix it?? And then the next time I called him again he said he wouldn't come at all!! No integrity. No professionalism, and he should not be trusted by anyone!! I had to call Ashley Furniture to come out and fix the sofa. They told me that the movers re-attached the backs and the wiring all wrong. They shouldn't have taken them apart if they didn't know how to put them back together. Save yourself a lot of headaches and money and go with someone reputable who will stand behind their work!

Most disorganized operation ever. Not even worth the 1 star rating. Was looking to support small local businesses, so gave the business to them. Because of the location of the home were were moving from, a tow behind trailer was not going to work for loading purposes. We looked at Firehouse Movers but their website clearly showed their equipment was gooseneck trailers, so we didn't select them. Reliant's website shows cargo trucks on it, although obviously stock photos and not theirs. There isn't a single picture of their actual equipment on their website. They showed up with a tow behind trailer and a pickup truck. After looking at the number of mostly boxes to move they decided their cargo trailer couldn't hold it (really?) and they estimated it would take them 11 HOURS to load and unload. To try and fix it, they said they could call Penske and rent the right equipment and made a few phone calls. They said it was possible they could rent a truck but would cost me around $250. I had already gotten a written quote a week earlier from Penske for $123 + around $50 for damage insurance, $173 total. Apparently Reliant, because they had inadequate equipment, wanted to up-charge me to get the right equipment, instead of just making it right for the customer. Obviously, they were totally un-equipped to handle a simple move, given the equipment they have, which is not shown or disclosed on their website. Since we wanted to move specifically on that day, we had to hire another firm with the right equipment at the last minute, which doubled our moving cost. Their little cargo van might be fine for moving your college dorm room, but forget a whole house move. Oh yeah, the other movers had it all loaded in 2.5 hours, and unloaded in 2 hours. 4 1/2 hours total. Reliant quoted 11 HOURS even after visually inspecting the items to be moved. They really have no idea what they are doing, basically kids with a tow behind trailer. If you want professional movers with the right equipment, you need to look elsewhere. They completely wasted my time and doubled my moving expenses because they were ill equipped to handle a simple move.

Thank you for your feedback, we are always looking for ways to improve our service. Please note that our quote form does indicate that the price point offered includes a truck and 24ft enclosed cargo trailer, and that we do offer larger trailers and box trucks. Unfortunately when our team arrived on-site, the only place for our equipment was the front yard with soft uneven ground. This scenario poses a danger to our equipment and workers. We offered to come back the next day with a box truck, as we had none available that day - unfortunately you had to move that day. We then contacted Penske to get a box truck that day and unfortunately business rates are different than personal rates - there was no up-charge on this service. The 11-hour quote was based on this unique environment and having to place our equipment some distance from the job site. We do charge hourly, so the final bill would have only been for actual hours worked and could have been less than the estimate. We then contacted a competitor, and organized the competitor to complete the job that day. With our box trucks, our team would have provided the same service you received. We are glad you were able to move successfully that day.
