This USED to be the best nail salon ever, under the previous management. The quality of work used to be impeccable and the staff friendly and catering, and they used to not charge for every single little thing (like a glitter top coat instead of a normal one, same number of coats either way). You were offered a drink upon arrival. The staff was awesome. The little details that made this little nail place remarkable are now gone.
The new management is...typical. A row of nail techs on their phones who act indifferent to what you asked for. Quality of work is so-so, service is very disappointing. I watched them give a pedicure to someone else without placing a liner in the tub. My manicure is unveven and started chipping almost immediately, and they charged me almost $10 more for the same manicure I'd been getting here for several months. You wanna balk? Too bad, new management.
Sigh. Time to find a new favorite salon. This one used to be quite a gem. :(Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Vera W.Alexandria, VA151Aug 5, 2017
It would be a disservice to the public if I do not warn people about this place. The owner is terribly rude and racist, and the work is not good.
To make a long story short, she "helped" me by squeezing me in (I didn't ask her to, I was about to leave), and in turn, she was insulting, angry, and brutal on my cuticles. She acted super impatient and kept rushing me when I spent 10 seconds choosing the color.
She sarcastically asked me "are you going to do your nails wet?" when my hands were not completely dry after washing my hands, and proceeded to condescend me like a child. Then she said she was trying to be "nice" and help me when she's busy. Again, I didn't ask her to squeeze me in. She wanted my business but was not willing to treat me properly. I told her I appreciate that, but if she was going to give me this kind of bad attitude, she shouldn't have taken me on as a customer. In hindsight, I should have walked out at this precise moment...I don't know why I didn't. When I was speaking to my mom and my brother in another language, she yelled at us and told them to go wait somewhere else and that we were speaking "too much Chinese", which was not the language we were speaking in (I don't know why this bothered her considering she kept talking to her coworker in their language in front of us and other customers). My brother asked her where her manager was, and she yelled, "I'M THE OWNER!"
I got out of there as soon as I could with wet nails. When I looked at my nails..there were bubbles on several nails. There are a few other nail places around this area, it's worth going to other places instead of being treated like this. Hopefully she reads her Yelp reviews and have learned more about customer service and respecting others, especially being an actual business owner who has 3 one-star reviews.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Amy G.Magnolia, TX810Jul 19, 2017
This place sucks!! They do bad work and they say how much cheaper they are than everyone else it's because their product stinks. DO NOT GO THERE AND WASTE YOUR MONEY! My shellac polish came off after 3 days. I called to see if she would fix it and she said no.
