Redwood Luxe Bar and Grill

A few family members decided on dinner out and my Uncle recommended Redwood.

We had a lovely dinner on the outdoor patio. We picked some apps to share including the crab bites, mango habanero wings, vegan shrimp and fried mushrooms. All were tasty and the entrees were just as good.

Great service which only added to an already enjoyable meal. Will definitely be visiting this place for another night out in the burbs

I wish I could give a half star because 3 isn't quite right.

Nice ambience, good ol school music at just the right level.

Had the catfish and it was lightly coated and cooked just right.

The only downside was the service.

Went for dinner on a Tuesday at 6pm and there were only 2 staff members taking care of the customers.

One person acting as a hostess and the bartender.

Was greeted by "what's up?" when I needed to flag down the hostess and she then seated me at a table that was wet from the previous guests.

To the credit of Redwood, the bartender came around to check on guests and saw the table was wet and offered to wiped it clean.

All in all, I would go back but would watch out for the young hostess.

First time here last night for dinner. My husband and I came in and the host told us to sit wherever we wanted. The waitress came over and said hello. The menu is digital . We first ordered the wings. Jamaican Heat and Garlic Parmesan. Those were really good but kind of pricey. 6 half wings for $10.00. For dinner we both ordered jambalaya. My husband got the chicken and sausage and I got the seafood. Both were good. The soup of the day chicken and rice was kinda bland. And I could have done without the salad. When we finished eating, we could not find our waitress. I think she left, she sat for 20 minutes waiting for someone to service us. We finally asked the hostess for the check and the to go boxes. The service could definitely be better. But the food was good

The food was excellent and arrived at the table while it was hot, something that is very important to me! We had buffalo and barbecue wings; crabs cakes; house salad and chicken rice soup.
The average rating is because the server did not check on our table often:
we had to ask for drink refills
we were not informed of the cost of refills
we were not offered bread
we learned of the eat in tax when our bill arrived
More upfront information would improve this rating.

A pleasant surprise. An excellent restaurant in the far south suburbs. I had a rib eye steak and the wife had the salmon. Both was tasty and cooked just right. For starters we had the small crab cakes.excellent. They were not filled with filler. A eatery worth the drive, both far and near.

Place looks closed. Dark inside, phone still rings but never answered, no recording. Called 5 times today at different times, never answered the phone. Passed by, dark and no sign

Neighborhood bar with delicious treats. I had redwood luxe bar and grill on Friday evening carryout. I ordered a salmon burger and onion rings. The food was fresh and delicious. It's also reasonable priced. It's currently open for indoor dining. I'll be back.

My husband and I came here for a celebration with our friend's on a Saturday evening. The food sucked, but our waitress was sweet as pie, bless her heart. We arrived after 9pm and had to order food off the the late night menu, fine not a problem. I order the cheese fries, with bacon. The fries were potato wedges or some weird shaped potato, with melted shredded cheese, which was only on the top of the fries, the middle and the bottom were just fries and pieces of bacon. My husband order the wings half plain and half barbecue, they were burnt from the grill and you could taste the burnt char on the wings. The barbecue wings were burnt and over sauced. I ordered a lemon drop martini, I should have known better, which had ice floating within the drink. Hard pass on returning.

So long story short a friend of mine offered to buy me brunch this Sunday and I was so game for it this location is actually pretty far from me to the far suburbs nevertheless we went pretty much at the time that they open 11 they're running a promotion on Facebook where there are $3 mimosas and also a DJ
upon sitting down this place is absolutely beautiful very stylish very Sleek Decor that uses a lot of red and metals on the other side I will say it's a little more intimate than the bar area but still has his own unique flair down to the food
my friend ordered the Olympia sandwich I ordered the omelette the Omelette consisted of eggs your choice of 3 veggies one type of cheese in a meat for $12 you can get an omelette with all those items plus home fries and toast it was an amazing deal you had the $3 mimosa but that's pretty much where things start to go downhill
This is an African-American run establishment t so I really wanted to try it out but it was maybe a handful of patrons at the time and I noticed that the food did take a while but that was okay I knew it was going to be freshly prepared so we waited waited and we finally got our food my friends food was correct
I looked at mine is omelette so it's pretty much the appearance is everything and I noticed it was very overly cooked from the top from the bottom even worse
the first bite all you taste was overcooked eggs now I do like my eggs done but I don't like them burnt and that was the whole consistency flavor of this dish I could not eat it I'm not going to waste money I had to send it back
My omelette again was a chicken omelette with spinach mushrooms bell peppers mozzarella cheese for the second time I waited only to get a ham omelette with those ingredients at that point I just asked to just take the potatoes off and I will just eat that I was absolutely starving watching my friend eat her food it was a little torturous after that so
I don't know if it was a manager that came over and asked about if I was the one with the incorrect food
It wasn't her fault nor it was in the waiters fault it was definitely on the cook . My food was remade again for third time , the lady did tske it off the bill, and had it brought correctly I don't know if the cook was having a bad day it happens
Looking at the on line site and Facebook site and as well as Yelp photos I am not completely done with this establishment I definitely will not order breakfast food but they do have extensive martini and sangria mixology list that I would love to partake to the prices are really decent and affordable I would love to try the chicken wings for far as breakfast or brunch I won't partake in that

I came to the restaurant after 9:00pm. The service was ok, more so like a hole in the walk kind of place. The waitress was extremely energetic and was bouncing around to a point that she got our order wrong. Anyway, we got the bill and we got charged $11.10 extra for ordering after 9pm. I wanna patronize black owned business but not when they are not delivering. This place is not worth the $$. I don't recommend
