Are there churros here?
A:
I have not seen churros there yet, but if you are looking for a sweet treat after your meal they have coconut flan and a chocolate taco!

Stopped in for some quick dinner in Fremont. Was craving tacos and Red Star answered my call. We arrived right around 6 on a Friday and we're the first people with a wait. Luckily two people left right as they were putting our names down.
The vibe is great. Loud, pop music playing, industrial decor. Definitely see it as a first stop or last stop on a night out.
The food was pretty good! I got the taco plate and my partner got the burrito. Both were around $13 which feels pretty reasonable.
I'd definitely stop in again for a happy hour. Margs at $8 with deals on food seem like the way to go.

8/10. I ordered the breakfast burrito and the coconut flan! They are all very fulfilling and amzing! I only finished half of the burrito and the coconut flan is really good! Very fluffy and very delightful! And of course wonderful chips and salsa!!
7/10: we went on a Thursday evening and it was packed! The waiters are all very kind and nice! They are all very busy and doing a good job juggling around!
9/10: I love all the plants and the decors in there! Very old-fashioned and it's giving the 80s vibe! I almost felt like I am in South France. I like the fact that the lights are dim and give a very cozy dining atmosphere!

My friend and I came in for happy hour on a hot summer day. The inside is way too hot, so we asked to sit on their covered patio area which was a bit better.
Service was super friendly. Felt pretty taken care of, given that we were seated outside.
We ordered some tacos and the chips w guac and salsa. I got your mom's taco which tastes like a better Taco Bell taco lol. Good amount of beef and toppings. Taco shell nice and crunchy. The carnitas taco was pretty good too. A bit spicy but yummy all the same. Chips and guac and salsa were really good. Chips were fresh and still warm by the time it came to the table.
Overall, this place hits. Obviously not the cheapest option for tacos, but still really good! Would definitely recommend coming for HH!

We had dinner at the Red Star Taco Bar on our last night in the Seattle area. We sat on their porch area, which was nice since the weather was amazing that day. The service was a bit hit or miss and the appetizers plate I received was dirty (hair) which was a bit off putting to start the meal. I did love the frozen margaritas, but was overwhelmed at how spicy the chicken burrito was. I won't lie and say I have a high spice tolerance, but I didn't think salsa verde in a burrito would overwhelm me and I actually had some indigestion afterwards.

I always come to this place when I was in uni. I'm always obsessed with their drinks but red sangria is my go to. It tasted like black current juice, it's so refreshing in summer and after eating a spicy taco.
I got 3 different tacos, one of them was so spicy for me but they all tasted so amazing. The Chicken Karaage one was okay, it doesn't feel like it pair well with tacos!
This was our first time sitting at the patio. It's pretty busy on a weekday.
The service was amazing, our server was so sweet and nice. There's another server, he's so goofy and funny, and have the best positive attitude!

Fusion taco spot with margaritas in a festive space.
Pros:
-Portions are great. Tacos are filled to the brim and they do not skimp on protein. Burritos are also huge.
-The fusion tacos are flavorful and creative. I think the flour tortillas are handmade or fresh or something because they are warm and fluffy and addicting. I tried the Agave Shrimp and Elote ($5.5) and Steak Salad ($5.5) tacos.
Neutral:
-Queso ($12) was tasty, but very salty.
-There were some people chillin there working on their laptops. Respect but also, kills the vibes a little, lol.
Cons:
-Love that is is 21+ only.
-I found the actual Mexican food items to be very bland. The side refried beans and Rice were watery and lacked flavor, and the carne asada burrito with guacamole was also just average.
Staff was cool too.

One of the better taco spots in the city. Good vibe, great happy hour prices for food and drink, clean. Some servers a little on the surly side but don't let that stop you from the tacos and margs and Tecate.
Oh and nachos are huge and delish! Go!

Wonderfully delicious tacos. I visited on their 10th year anniversary where all tacos were $2.50, and helped myself to 5 of their 18 options. You simply can't pick a wrong option, and my personal ranking from good to best:
5. Tequila like chicken
4. Yucatán style roasted pork
3. Red Star Philly - tender beef & cheese simply melts in your mouth
2. Catfish - light & crispy texture balanced with a pickle topping
1. Carnitas - so savory & juicy, absolutely would order multiples of this

Taco Tuesday: $2.50/taco!!! 2 vegetarian tacos, both good. And their salsa is fresh and has a good kick to it
They have a menu for non-alcoholic cocktails and some NA beers to choose from, but plenty o alcoholic options (hence the 21+). Happy NA cocktails are on the rise. PiCoco was good but admittedly like most NA's tasted like fancy juice, but we're taking steps in the right direction at least !!
I enjoy the long community table options. I think it works for the space and makes it feel more neighborhoody.
Overall: always enjoy this spot. Super clutch location, lots around, good hours, no kids.
