This place has lost me. I get that it's usually packed and that suggests good service, food and or value. However....My $8.50 breakfast burrito had less sausage in it than a Jewish deli. The literally 4 bites of hash browns I had to order as a side was another $3.25. I skipped another $3 clubbing for coffee.
My server was clearly more interested in chatting with fellow servers than coming by even once to see how my skimpy breakfast tasted. I felt like I was bugging her by being there. Leaves bill on table without saying a word just to cap it off.
Food is acceptable at a lower price but go elsewhere for any value. Ohhh and don't forget to pay extra if you use a debit/charge card!
Great so now I'm subsidizing your overhead costs too
If I wanted to be ignored, gouged and unappreciated I'd vote for current regime..... ohhh waitHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jun 14, 2023
Walked in about 30 minutes ago to have brunch with my son. We were told to take a seat anywhere. We sat a few minutes and the same employee that told us to sit anywhere setup an empty table next to us with silverware and me us. We didn't have silverware or menus.
10 minutes later we watched 3 groups get sat, get their orders taken and get drinks. Not 1 person said anything to us. We walked out.Helpful 3Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 1 - Jun 18, 2023
Quick, cheap, and good breakfast place. I was in and out within an hour. The french toast was my favorite thing ordered. The server was nice and attentive, the place was cute inside and I liked how each section of the wall had a different little "theme".

I'd driven by here at least a hundred times and it was always packed. Finally got the chance today and it was definitely worth the wait. Nothing fancy on the inside but amazing food. Fast friendly service...the Red Rooster is now one of my favorites.

We were hoping to get a good southern breakfast, since our previous attempts had been pretty mediocre. My friend wanted to find a place where locals went, and he surely did that.
The place is like a sort-of diner in a strip mall. Lots of families eating, which is nice. The service was nice as well.
The eggs were fine, the biscuits were good, but the grits were the blandest thing I've ever had. I was really bummed to make it to Nashville and not be able to get a good southern breakfast (though dinners were amazing everywhere).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 28, 2022
Great little gem! Have been coming here for a while now and just now finishing this review.
Great service, the owners run a proud family business.
The schedule is a bit tricky, opening and close changes through tour the week, but definitely worth the stop!
Not your usual diner, it has its own vibe, and locals are always present. It is also nice to see the usual customers, almost making you a part of the family.
Good wise, just ask and they will fix it for you.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 19, 2022
First timer here and I wasn't sure if I was I seat myself or a hostess. But it's home style you seat yourself. Red Rooster has daily specials M-F and the menu looks tasty. Tracey is our server and she's friendly, knowledgeable and patient.
I ordered the Early bird Special and my husband ordered the Red Rooster Special.
My order has 2 eggs, bacon, sausage or city ham, biscuits and gravy. Hubby got 3 eggs, hash browns, ham, biscuits and gravy and a pancake ( he added the pancake). Overall the food is fresh, tasty and filling! I will definitely be back to try their lunch specials. They have a great selection and variety of items to choose from. Very nice southern style cafe, nothing fancy but everything is well made. They stay very busy but still manage to crank out food at a great pace.

Best food for the price in the area! Needed a quick lunch, looked up some spots, chose this one and could not have been happier! Service was great! Every table was seated, they even had a few people waiting but things moved quickly! Small little spot and parking could be tight if super busy but absolutely worth stopping in for any meal!

This place is not far from Nashville and it has great food and free parking ! Place is a small homestyle cafe located in a shopping strip- appears the locals flock too. Place was packed, but clean, friendly, and tasty. Priced average as compared to small business places. Well worth the trip outside downtown Nashville.
