Great place for a whisky or beer by the fire. Comforting, warm neighborhood spot with friendly service and good prices. It's a hidden gem with a storied history.
Few taverns in the city have a fire. This is the best spot in TriBeCa to warm up in the winter. - 4158503110511/17/2020
We stopped in for a drink before our dinner reservations. It's sad to see so many businesses hurting from Covid. Our bartender was friendly and we chatted a bit about the current state of affairs. Support your local businesses. Stop at Reade Street Pub and grab a drink. Cheers. ENJOY!!!

Veggie sandwich pretty good, friends enjoyed the burgers. Would have been nice it the waitress didn't smoke her cigarette 10 ft otherwise the service was good and the had a bathroom.

We stopped by for a drink before we dined at Marc Forgione. Â We had a couple drinks by the fire. Â This local bar seemed like a cool neighborhood spot. Â The bartender was very friendly and was very open about the circumstances bars in the city are facing. Â I am glad We supported this local business during Covid. Enjoy!

We just stumbled upon the Reade Street Pub & Kitchen while wandering around the neighborhood. This neighborhood pub is fairly large and open inside with a great feel. They are located on Reade Street near the Chambers Street Station in Tribeca.
This is a great example of a New York neighborhood bar. The bar itself is long with lots of seating. There are lots of tables for larger groups. Combined with the full bar menu, there is a kitchen making some great bar food and other specialties. Staff was fun and interesting which made our visit extra special.
They have a unique policy asking patrons not to take pictures without permission. We obliged with this request, so I do not have any pictures. There are a lot of 9/11 memorials and other special decorations throughout the bar that should be seen in person along with a drink or food. Fortunately, it was quiet on a Tuesday which made for better conversation.
If you are looking for a nice neighborhood style pub, Reade Street Pub & Kitchen may fit the bill. It is not fancy, but clean and fun and convenient to a lot of Tribeca options. - Andrew F.New York, NY322822/16/2020
Probably one of the weirdest bar experiences I've had with my buddy. Â We came by yesterday in the early evening and the service was awful. Â The bartender had a group of friends come see her and it essentially turned into her primary focus just being to entertain her friends and not keep an eye on the patrons. Â She was incredibly loud the entire time...like literally the. entire. time. Her voice cut thru the music playing she was that loud. Â I looked to my left after she made this really loud laugh at one point and I made eye contact with this stranger and we both gave each other a look like what is going on? Â It honestly felt like we were intruding on her space, like we had walked into her personal living room. Â We ended up leaving bc of her.
It took us forever to get another drink and to check out. Â The only reason we were able to check out eventually is bc one of her friends noticed us getting annoyed and let her know we wanted to check out. Â Idk just all very bizarre. Â I've never encountered such a loud and obnoxious bartender. - Ross H.New York, NY3611054361/4/2018
Reade Street Pub is located in TriBeCa off Greenwich st on Reade st. It is a small location with basically only locals that go.
They have good prices if you are looking for beer. I would go with their Read St brew. The wait staff and what seemed to be the owners are extremely friendly and accommodating. In the end this place is a very simply classic pub with ok food, nothing special.
If you are in the area and are looking for a quick pitcher in a quiet old school pub then come here. - David N.Manhattan, NY074111/26/2020
Probably more a 3.5 but I'll round up . Â I come here every couple of weeks or so on a Sunday lunch time as they have a kids menu.
Service is no issue since its a Sunday morning lunch, the waitresses are friendly to the kids. Â As its the pandemic still, we've only sat outside.
The food is okay, nothing to rave about but at the same time its a pub and I just want something simple easy so that my kids can eat their chicken tenders or grill cheese.
Prices are very good for Tribeca area. - Sarah G.Jersey City, NJ121157279/22/2018
Decent bar but I'm always surprised at how credit most bars in lower manhattan are. My friend is obsessed with all the weird, white people bars in lower manhattan and I don't get it.
The only redeeming quality of this bar is their house beer is pretty good. The food is mediocre at best.
Service is alright but not entirely attentive. - 167877685288/14/2013
I didn't really choo choo choose this place as our pre/post volleyball hangout, but I"m sure glad it's been a team tradition since I joined the beach squad. Â
Reade Street is a well rounded pub, serving dirt-cheap $12 pitchers of their house ale, and a tasty assortment of sandwiches, burgers, and other pub fare. Â Sandwiches are priced between $10-$14, but some of the appetizers are a little expensive for what they are...I'm talking to you, $11 mozzarella sticks!
There's about 16 or so seats at the bar, with plenty of tables on the side and back. Â A handful of TVs ensure you'll be in on the sports, and if you're up for more distractions, a model train (get it...choo choo?!) runs on an oval track suspended from the bar ceiling. Â Service is friendly, and atmosphere is comfortable enough for our sweaty t-shirts and shorts...
