Q:
Is this the same fish ramen place as Shinjuku? Is the fish ramen on the menu here?
A:
No and to answer your second question, they do not offer fish ramen.
Richard H.Â10 months agoQ:
Do they allow you to order out?
A:
No, the only way you could take out would be to wait in their line and sit down at a table, then I believe you need your own container to take the food home. They might offer you some smaller containers but I don't think it fits a whole bowl of… more

Just when I thought Ramen Nagi couldn't get any better, they bring back their limited edition Garlic King ramen back. Damn, that's some good ramen. Just thinking about makes my mouth salivate...
Also, don't be a fool like me and wait to try their Karaage. It's more seasoned and crispy than it's traditional cousin, but boy is it tasty. Love their egg mayo dipping sauce--a perfect pairing.
Now if they can just bring back their pickles (free condiment that used to be available before Covid and is available in their SoCal locations), I'd be beyond happy.Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 1Oh no 0Apr 18, 2023Previous reviewJust when I thought Ramen Nagi couldn't get any better, they bring back their limited edition Garlic King ramen back. The only thing missing now are pickles. When those are back, I will swear off any other Ramen shops and will join the church of Ramen Nagi.Sep 18, 2021Previous reviewCame here on Monday at 10:45 am and there were only 5 parties ahead of us--so we scored outdoor seats the during first round. Yes!!!
Haven't had Ramen Nagi since pre-Covid there were definitely some things different. Gone are the days of free little salads/snack at the table, and the excitement about which limited edition Ramen they would offer.
But their o.g. ramen are still bomb. Tried their Black King which was beyond flavorful. Loved how the broth aided in adding a hint of spiciness to all of the ingredients. The noodles were perfectly cooked as well. Overall a harmonious dish that satisfied my cravings. My hubby, who's never been to Ramen Nahi, really annoyed his Red King and understood what the hype was all about.
I'm not willing to stand forever in a line to a bowl of Ramen. But if I can get here during the week before they open, I'm in 100%. - Jan 6, 2024
Unpopular belief - I think ramen nagi is overhyped
Like the customization of the ramen but for me it's not quite worth the long wait and even customizing with less oil the broth still leans quite heavy and thick for my taste.
I do like the al dente texture of the noodles. Would come back again if a friend really wanted it but wouldn't be my first choice when selecting a place to eatHelpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 1 - Feb 8, 2024
A lot of people think Ramen Nagi is one of the best ramen spots in South Bay. I love how customizable this spot is: each person can choose their own preference for broth, saltiness, ramen thickness, spiciness, etc.
I ordered the Black King, which had blackened garlic, calami ink, and black sesame to create this black broth. I also added an egg, which I feel is a must. The noodles were cooked perfectly to my liking, and everything was incredibly tasty together. I do wish that they gave a little more meat since the slices were super thin. However, it definitely checks off all the boxes for being a fantastic bowl of ramen.
The food came out super quickly, which was nice since we were waiting for a long time. This place is super popular, so definitely expect to wait outside for a bit before being seated. Because it's so busy, the inside is also kind of squished and chaotic. Additionally, parking is a little tough depending on when you go, but you can usually find street parking somewhere.
The reason for taking off 1 star is the service. The service staff was really rude--they kept exasperatedly sighing when taking our orders and rolled their eyes when the water was in the way of putting food on the table (even though we immediately went to move it). I get that they're busy, but it was kind of unnerving. Other than that, it was a great experience!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mar 30, 2024
Broth is cooked over 20 hrs, noodles are made fresh daily, super fresh ingredients, and thin sliced chashu! You can customize your bowl to perfection. Taking stars off for the service though. The worker in charge of seating was so rude. My full party had not arrived, and we were completely ok with waiting and letting others behind us get seated first until everyone in our party was present, as that is their policy. When our full party arrived, we realized we had miscounted the number in our group by one extra person, but we were very willing to wait. However, the worker had yelled at us, kept exasperatedly sighing, and rolled her eyes. I get that they're busy, but people make mistakes, and I don't think that is any way to treat someone. It ruined our entire evening. The service at the San Jose location is way better. Won't be returning to this location until she's gone.

Green King -- a nice warm soup with nodes of parmesan and pesto. The color of the broth is nice matcha-colored green. Every thing was delicious from the broth, to the pork belly and to the noodles.
Ramen Nagi allows a lot of customization depending on the customer's preference for noodle type, spiciness, add-ons. The line is usually long, but it's worth the wait when you get a freshly made bowl of ramen in front of you. Service is super fast once you are seated.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 30, 2024
I have heard so much about this restaurant and couldn't wait to try it out myself. When you walked in they offered you a menu and a sheet to mark your order. The atmosphere is nice and the service was decent.
I ordered the first one on the menu with thick noodle sliced pork. I thought the soup was decent-to-good. The soup was creamy and tasty and the noodle and meat tasted good. Then why 3 stars? The soup didn't come with a lot of toppings. Perhaps I am spoiled. I missed the egg or bamboo or corn or green onion or all the other items the ramen usually came with.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dec 24, 2023
Love the customization options of ramen!
Got the tonkotsu ramen with firm, thick noodles with less oil and salt. They listen and nail the customizations!
+ Noodles are so chewy
+ Tonkotsu broth is rich and thick
Toppings are egg, wood ear mushrooms, green onions, and thin chashu. Overall, satisfying ramen in Palo Alto!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jan 19, 20241 check-in
Ramen Nagi is my new favorite ramen spot in the bay area. Situated right in downtown Palo Alto along a popular street full of dining and shopping spots, it's instantly recognizable as that one restaurant with a huge line out front. My group of 5 went on a Friday night and while the line was intimidating, it moved fairly quickly and we didn't wait longer than 20-25 minutes to get seated. Once inside the restaurant, there's no sense of rush whatsoever. The staff are happy to answer questions and provide top quality service.
The star of the show is the food. This is one of the best bowls ramen I've ever had! I got the Red King bowl (pictured) which is the spicier version of their standard Tonkotsu broth ramen, but it isn't THAT spicy. The host accurately described it as maybe a 2-3 on the spicy scale, and that seemed about right to me. It can be customized with all the trimmings, and it was SO tasty. A full and thick broth, perfectly soft noodles, a dollop of miso infused pork, chashu, and nagi cayenne and chili oil. The result is a mouth watering bowl of ramen with a slight kick.
The other nice thing is that there are a couple of great non-ramen dishes that you can order as starters. My group got the Chicken Karage and the Pork Dumplings, and both were a great way to drum up the appetite for the main meal. They were delicious!
Pro tip: get the kae-dama (extra noodles) because this ramen is so good you'll go through your noodles so quick and be left with extra broth, and kae-dama is a great way to get the most out of your bowl!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 272447666Mar 9, 2024
My boyfriend took me here for my birthday. Long noodles mean long life! It was a Tuesday night and cold, but there was still a line to get a table. Luckily, line moved quickly. They give you a piece if paper of thei menu where you can mark what you want. I got the black king ramen; yummy! Loved the garlic flavor of broth. Also, definitely glad I got extra egg and pork belly! If you're looking for a ramen spot, this is a solid one!

Ramen Negi offers a delightful and authentic ramen experience in the heart of valley field. The restaurant's ambiance is cozy and welcoming, perfect for a casual meal . The menu at Ramen Negi features a variety of ramen options, each bursting with flavor and made with care. I tried their vegetarian option but it was average for me .
