It's all in the filters. The pictures they post are very misleading. If you have made reservations here you have just been catch-fished. This place is old and it looks it. The elevator is dimly lit. I'm assuming to hide the gang etchings in the walls. When you exit the elevator there is a coin operated washing machine and dryer. Very nice for their long-term guess but pretty weird for someone expecting a short nice clean little stay. Finally you enter your room. Be prepared to flash back to the days when wall paper was the fad and old stained floral chairs were in (or were they?). Breath in the smoke stained air, kick off your shoes (but keep your socks on) and relax enjoying the view of gangbangers walking by and long term guest carefully packing their cars to the brim with all they own, and of course, a pit bull. Enjoy or be smart and find a better, cleaner place.

The beds didn't come with comforters. It smelled like it needed to be cleaned when I walked in.

The worst thing is I came for a wedding & I left my necklace in the room and the housekeeper stole it It was a gift from the bride to all of the bridesmaids
      I WAS PISSED
& Supervisor Dodnt believe me & said the maid doesn't steal

      Nice Job on the Remodel!

We have stayed at many of the Chatsworth Hotels so this time we stayed at The Ramada. I had seen some bad and good reviews and had to see for myself.

I don't know if all the rooms have been remodeled, but our room was just great. I am kind of picky about my rooms, I have a head band light. I move the night stands, I check the bed, the sheets, under the dresser, everything. Ramada passed my White Glove test just fine.

I didn't eat there in the morning so I can't comment although I did glance over the breakfast area. It looked like you expect for a hotel priced as it was. Not the Hilton for sure but if you want to pay an extra $200 a night for breakfast go ahead. For me there's a Micky D's one block down at De Soto.

I will be back. Terrific value.

My family & I have been road tripping for the past five weeks, staying in a hotel every night & this is the first review that I'm writing. As soon as we walked into the room, we gaged! It had a nasty, old mildew smell that was over sprayed by a deodorizer but failed to cover up the horrific smell!
I also had to use my own sheets that I brought as a backup in case of hotels like this one! The white sheets (weren't white btw) had a hole with stains all over. The brown cover blanket was nasty! My family & I did not use the bedding, that pretty much sums up how disgusted we all felt here. The shower curtain was not water proof, why put a cloth curtain in a shower?! Water ended up all over the floor! And two towels for a two queen bed bedroom?! Really?!
All in all, the nasty smell was disgusting!!!!

I realize this place is renovating, so kind of feel bad giving them a crappy review cause the staff was very nice. However. They have some nerve claiming to be a 3 star hotel. First of all the room smelled, like there was a weird odor from the air conditioner. I was there for just 1 quick night to attend a business event or I would have asked for a different room. Luckily the windows opened and the 3 loud drunk people hanging out in the parking lot my room overlooked, were preferable to the smell. Wifi was spotty. Furniture was dilapidated sheets had little indelible spots on them, wall paper was peeling, hallway looked like it was in mid demo. Below are some photos of chair bathroom and hallway. Again they seem to be in the middle of a renovation and I'm sure it will be nicer when it's done. In the meantime, avoid.

I stayed here Labor Day, 9/8/15. The room was clean and the television had decent cable, and it was nice to have a bathroom night light, which came with the blow dryer. However, there was no channel guide or programming schedule with the TV. I found a long black hair on a towel (I am blonde), and the bed was lumpy. I like to watch TV in bed but the pillows were two small to prop against the headboard, which had a little shelf to bump your head on. The bathroom faucet was too short to get your hands under it properly. The closet was too short to hang a dress because of the old refrigerator in it.

The hotel is undergoing a renovation, but nothing they do is going to help because the neighborhood is so bad. There are two buildings. The front building, which had a reception window carved in a wall and no lobby, has a privately-owned bar. The second building is behind the first, with the tiny pool, small parking lot, numerous trash dumpsters, a huge storage unit and porta-potty between. That was the view from my room (2305) in the back building, which is designated a non-smoking building. My building was hot as blazes. It was a 100 degree day, but there was no air conditioning. My room AC was off when I checked in, but it couldn't cool the room when the hallway was so hot.

It was after 9 pm when from my window I saw men going from the front of the hotel - presumably the bar - through a narrow alleyway to the back area. I saw men go into the porta-potty. Two men were sitting on the curb in the parking lot cleaning weed. I saw another man peeing on the palm tree. Right in front of my non-smoking building was an empty planter full of cigarette butts.

As for the friendly staff from another review, the one woman in the office was cordial, not friendly. There was no computer room so she let me use the office computer to print my boarding pass. When I told her about the potheads in the parking lot, she sent someone who rousted them. Before the men left, they dumped their "shake" (stems and leaves) onto the hotel bushes. It was still there the next morning. I saw nobody I could identify as security, and nobody followed up with me after I complained. My impression was they either didn't care, or could do nothing about the trespassers.

I hoped the free breakfast would help make up for the rotten atmosphere. It did not. There was no fresh fruit, only small servings of canned peaches and pineapple in containers. When I say small, I mean two to three slices of peaches. The instant oatmeal was brought in at 7:15. The make-yourself waffles were mealy, the Danish and bagels small. There was a pan of sausage, but no eggs. I asked the guy why there was hot sauce and ketchup. He said it was for the sausage. The small containers of yogurt was sugar-free light, the only healthy option.

Someone said Chatsworth is hotel-challenged. I agree. I have to go there for work. The next time I'll go back to the Holiday Inn Express. It's a little farther from the office, but at least I'm not looking at men peeing on plants.

Not even sure where to begin here! First of all, coming in Friday evening to see that lobby/front desk was a shipping container in the parking lot was unimpressive right off the start. This place is now a Holiday In Express)

Trying to check into our room, they told my boyfriend his credit/debit card would not work, no reason given as to why. I was waiting in the truck. My boyfriend had to come and get me and I used my credit/debit card which worked just fine.

Got to the room, and see that the 'remodeling' they are doing is more or less just covering things up as nothing is done correctly. Doors are crooked, old baseboards used for new carpeting which is not really laid well, painting seems unfinished as there are strange spots on the ceiling and walls. Upon pulling out the hide-a-bed for the grandkids, there was a box-cutter and a cigarette in the bed, no pillows or blanket for the hide-a-bed, and only one remote for two TV's. Upon telling the front desk about all of this, they moved us to another room. We get into the second room and again there are no pillows or a blanket for the hide-a-bed, and only one remote for both TV's, and then a dirty tissue was in this hide-a-bed.
They gave us two pillows and a remote but still no blanket.
Saturday morning we woke up to water completely covering the floor in between the living room and bedroom and going into the bathroom. Coming from the mini fridge. I had to use our two bath towels to soak up all the water. Upon leaving that morning, we stopped at the shipping container to tell them there was water leaking everywhere. A few hours later I came back to the hotel myself for a change of clothes and found a bag of towels hanging on our door handle. When I went inside I saw they hadn't done anything about the leaking water and the towels I used were still on the floor in front of it. I took the towels inside, changed my clothes and left. That evening when we returned to the hotel neither of our key cards would work on any of the doors. Back to the 'lobby' and they gave us new keys. I also told him about the water leaking and he said he did see a note in the system about it and I was again told he would send someone up. We get back up to the room and the towels we had on the floor in front of the refrigerator were now gone, and they straightened things up, but once again the water covered the entire hallway and flowed into the bathroom. I had to use the new bath towels they brought us to once again clean up all the water, but no one came up.

The next morning, I tried to take a bath, what a joke. The plug in the bathtub was this weird cheaply made piece that just sits in there, with a little suction cup around the top so you're supposed to push it down and it will suction to the drain to plug the drain. Sounds simple right? Except it doesn't work! You can push it down and it sort of suctions but pops completely out of the drain once you let go. I spent about 5 minutes messing with it then finally decided to just hold it down until there was enough water and I got in and held it with my foot the rest of the time. Still didn't work, the water was still draining out around it. Finally gave up and turned on the shower. The. I had to use hand towels to dry off because we used the bath towels for the floor (which still weren't enough for all the water that was there, they were completely soaked!)

Also should mention that BOTH rooms smelled horrible, like a litter box or some other animals' droppings, and whatever it was affected my allergies HORRIBLY.

Parking leaves a lot to be desired as well since for one thing, the 'lobby' as I said, is a shipping container in the parking lot which is already tiny to begin with, and awkward as you have pillars and walls to work around everywhere, and many of the parking spaces were taken up by piles of dirt and/or miscellaneous construction items so good luck getting a parking space and if you drive a big truck like we do, your options are even fewer!

This was by far the worst experience we have ever had staying at a hotel and we stay at hotels very frequently. Will never stay here again!

Do not stay at this hotel. The staff is slow, they are are rude. They seriously need customer service training. The parking lot is horribly small. It makes it so difficult to find a spot and squeeze in and hope to God not to accidentally hit anything. The rooms are barely clean. Was this place really remodeled? because it looks run down and old. The blanket on the bed was so thin I thought it was a bed sheet.

The worst part. My room was above the bar. No one informed me when I was checking in. It was only when I called the front desk at 11pm about people yelling and screaming outside, loud music with bass so high that the walls of my room felt they were shaking. It felt as if I was in the bar too. It was that loud. The front desk person offered zero apologies. Simply stated that the bar closes at 2 am and there is nothing they can do.

If you're looking for a decent hotel, look for another one because this isn't it!

The place is awful. Very old, a lot outside noise, bad conditions. Our room was dusty, a little dirty. First time that I stay in a Ramada hotel in this poor condition.

The company I work for got me a room.
My boss had the keycard everything was set.
I made the mistake of checking in with the desk and they said I had to give them my credit card. Stupid me. I only had a debit card. They ran it and took my last 150$ for a deposit against the room!
They already had a deposit from my company!
So I had to stay and work for 4 days with no money and NOW I HAVE TO WAIT 5 DAYS TO GET MY 150 BACK!
      Thanks Ramada
      Never again.
BTW. My room smelled like a high school gym locker.
      Breakfast was pretty good.
