This Radio Shack is closed, I visited the store on 06/03/2017 and it's vacant.
I visited this store in the past and it the staff was always friendly and helpful.
It's too bad it's closed now.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Mohamed I.Playa del Rey, Los Angeles, CA814535Sep 24, 2016

The Radio Shack in West Ventura severely lacks quality customer service. The guys that work there are usually unprofessional, and unmotivated. My husband went in for some help with a new phone and an associate had music playing through his phone with much profanity and didn't seem interested in representing Radio Shack in a positive light. Will not and do not recommend the West Ventura location to anyone.

My phone was broken last night leaving me feeling helpless and shattered. A very patient young salesman named Tony, helped me, a difficult consumer go home happy. Fortunate for me because this little phone saved me when I had my heart attack while alone. Thank you Radio Shack

Have to say that every time I've gone in there lately I've found what I wanted. I'm usually looking for an electronic component like a switch or a connector. I'd rather go there than Fry's.

This Radio shack has really gone downhill since the last review I have given it. None of the employees there seem to have much enthusiasim for working there anymore due to the recent shut down of other Radio Shacks in the area. So as a result the customer service experience is lackluster at best. One previous employee in particular who recently left was always rude to customers and had a huge attitude problem. He was the manager of the sprint side for a while. I am sorry to see a company that has been around for so long to go very downhill in such a short time. I only hope that the new management and employees have more concern and enthusiasim for customer service...because I feel its gravely impacting their sales and reputation the way it is now.

He tried to pull a fast one and talk over my head while implying that all I do is just go in there to window shop and never purchase anything...along with many other rude remarks.
To be honest, long before there was a Frys in Oxnard or even online shopping being thought of yet, My family had been only using Tandy Radio Shack batteries and other products exclusively.
My Father and I used to do home theater installs with Antenna / Cable Tv installs for a large portion of LA county back in the early 90s to mid 2k's ..Each time we did a system install we would only use Archer/Tandy brand Tv antennas.
My father on the other hand...Grew up doing radio repair and tested ALL of his VACUUM tubes in Radio shack in the mid 1970s.
That's over 40 years of patronage from my family to Tandy corp, and I feel ashamed that the company has fallen so far so fast in the time Ive been around...to where they don't seem to have any interest in keeping customers satisfied anymore.
I know that Tandy Corp is going Bankrupt but...Employees should never take it out on their customers. - Carolyn J.Ventura, CA017Dec 3, 2015
I was very unhappy with my experience at the Radio Shack store in Ventura on December 3, 2015. I have a GPS that I have happily used for years, but the cord no longer works. Around 12:00, I went to the Radio Shack to get a new chord. I chose Radio Shack because I know they have outlets by the cash register and I wanted to make sure the new cord that I intended to purchase, actually worked with my GPS. I have had good service at that Radio Shack before and I remembered that.
When I arrived, there were two workers in the store, a young girl and a man about 35, possibly the manager. I told the girl that I needed a new cord for my GPS, which I handed to her, and she brought it over to the man. He said that a new cord would be very expensive, about $20. I was ready to pay that. Then he went on to say that it would be a complete waste of money for me, because my GPS was so old that it could not possibly give me the right addresses or the correct directions, because my GPS is too old to be updated and therefore, completely worthless. I was LIVID. He was not interested in HELPING me, but more interested in lying to me about my GPS so that he could pick my pocket. When I go to get a cord, I don't need a shill salesman trying to talk me into a more expensive product. He was completely insulting that he thought I would fall for that. I repeated back to him what he said to make sure I understood him clearly, and then I snatched my GPS from him and I turned and left. I was not going to waste my breath or my time arguing with such a low-life about whether or not my GPS was "worthy" of a new cord.
I am NEVER going into that Radio Shack again, and I think he needs "re-training" on how to give good customer service. It might seem like a small thing, but in my eyes, he is dishonest and predatory. He lacks integrity and has lost sight of his job at Radio Shack, which is SERVING customers, not fleecing them.
I can easily get the cord from Target, Wal-mart, Best-Buy, Fry's, or Amazon, and Radio Shack has lost one more customer.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Dev M.Ventura, CA051Apr 24, 2015
Sales Associate KG was very rude, condescending and impatient. He didn't seem like he wanted to be there. His attitude was, "Eh whatever." This employee needs to keep his attitude in his private life.

Not pleased with the service at this Radio Shack. I ordered an item online. It shipped to the store. According to FedEx it was delivered to the store. But when I go to the store to pick up my item they say they do not have it and did not receive it. The associate that was working that day said he would have the manager look into it and get back to me. He would also order another to be expressed delivered to the store. I did not here from the manager (Tony) for a week. So I called the store and spoke to the manager. He says he did not receive the item and would have to look into it. (And acted as if he had not heard of the issue of its non-delivery before my call.) Also the express order of the replacement item was not placed. He brushed the incident off and I still need to see if he gets back to me, and if I will get the item I ordered. Very poor service!
