This is the best restaurant! The sushi chef is amazing and the food is absolutely delicious!!!! The Rocking Roll is my favorite. This is literally in my top 3 restaurants and you really can't go wrong with anything you order. Love it!

I've been to this location several times and i absolutely love it. Why?
Service: Excellent! The people are always friendly. It's never too packed. It has a very relaxed and clean ambiance.
Food: The food always comes out fast and is delicious. If you are a person like myself that has an unpredictable palate, this is the place for you. You can find Korean, Japanese, Chinese, Thai....a variety of Asian dishes all in one place. I love their green tea ice cream.
Each time i have used the restroom there, there has always been an extremely strong unpleasant odor coming from somewhere. But i absolutely love this place otherwise!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Tram N.Keller, TX892851021Jun 9, 2019
Came here for sushi and it was very mehhhh
The menu offers options for brown rice, cucumber wrapping, soy paper, etc for additional cost.
However, when I place my order trying to substitute rice for the cucumber wrapper, they told me I couldn't. After asking for 3 different rolls and being told no I went ahead and just for the cucumber roll.
I also got the wonton soup as an appetizer.
The soup was not good at all. It has a miso soup base and it tasted water down. The shrimp you are given taste frozen and one bite of the wonton was more than enough for me. Definitely frozen and doughy.
The cucumber roll was just okay. Nothing different or special. I didn't even eat it all.
My coworker got the spider roll and told me it was nasty. The rice didn't taste like sushi rice and you can see wedges of lettuce wrapped with it which we thought was weird.
Although it was conveniently close to my work I would not be back.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Casey V.Washington, DC370147551May 5, 2019
I ordered delivery so I can only assess this place on the actual food that was delivered to me, separate from any restaurant atmosphere, service, etc. I got one of the lunch specials which included a variety of sashimi, a couple pieces of nigiri, and a tuna roll. In order for sushi to be good to me, it needs to be fresh and high quality.. this sushi just didnt do it for me.
I started off with a ginger house salad which was average, the dressing was fine and served with your usual iceberg lettuce. When I first opened the container of sushi it just hit me with a strong scent I'm not used to when I eat sushi. The tuna felt was almost a bit grainy and the rest of the fish just didnt taste or feel fresh. Even the seaweed wrap for the tuna roll didn't taste fresh, which is something I don't even typically notice. The salmon sashimi was okay, but I found myself needing to use a lot of wasabi and soy sauce to be able to eat the meal. I love sushi and rarely leave any piece uneaten but I was unable to finish much more than half of this meal.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 14418788Jul 8, 2018
Not sure how this place has fallen off so hard. Their lunch sushi special is nice because you can get 2 rolls for $11 or 3 for $14 plus a soup or salad. The catch to this is that their rolls are teeeeeny. I also ordered veggie fried rice for my son but half of the egg shell was in the rice. It is important to note that they accidentally brought out a chicken fried rice first. The chicken was cold and the rice/eggs had visibly been reheated so I fear that they probably scoop uneaten fried rice and save and reheat. EW.
Our waitress really meant well and she was sweet but she was the only waitress there and she definitely wasn't quick.
I won't be giving this place another shot. I've given it multiples and it has continued to worsen.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 3063015344May 5, 2016
Trying my luck with a new sushi place. Upon entering the restaurant it was empty with only one table occupied. I figured out that it was about to close up so they can prepare for the reopening for the dinner hours. The restaurant isn't anything spectacular, but it's a nice small yet quaint spot to satisfy a sushi craving.
After looking over the menu I decided to order three dishes. One to sit there and eat and two Togo. Now! While sitting an eating and waiting for the Togo orders. I couldn't figure out wether or not the sushi chef to my left made the sushi or someone snuck out the back and went to Publix and got it Hummmm :/
The sushi here really taste store bought. It didn't have that melt in your mouth authentic sushi taste at all. Quite mediocre and bland. I really wanted to cancel the Togo order and just leave, but I gave it the ole foodie try. And once I got back home I thought to myself "yeah I should have cancelled the order"
All I got to say is just look at my pics and you decide for yourself.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 145156378Sep 23, 2017
Came in on a Sunday evening so business was pretty slow, which was good for me and my group. Prompt service. Decor is cute and welcoming. Bar looks nice and appropriately supplied. What puts them up another star was the Pad Thai. I love this dish but have had it done poorly at times. R Rice did not disappoint. It was delicious!! Could have used more peanuts and egg in the rice but the taste was all there. Since my first visit, told my sis to go for more, so I've had it twice now.
Also, our waitress, Hannah banana (as she introduced herself) was great. Thanks doll!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jul 18, 2017
R Rice is conveniently located across the street from the Hilton Perimeter Suites. I was happy to find a dinner spot to which I could walk. The restaurant was almost empty, but was busy with to go orders. There were only 2 employees working that I could see, but they did a nice job. I sat at the bar, enjoyed a cocktail and ordered dinner. The spring roll was good, but pretty standard. I then requested an all veggie hibachi. They subbed the tofu for extra veggies. It was very good, and was a lot of food for a good price. I was pleased with the service, and the food was good quality. I think they could probably use more help so that the employees working aren't running around crazy all night!

R Rice is a mixed sushi bar and chinese/japanese restaurant. I came on a thursday night for take-out (i was in the mood for americanized chinese food). The restaurant is located right beside Uncle Julios and Miss Gigi's cupcakes. Upon arrival we were told to sit at the bar if we wanted to order takeout. We were served immediately and only waited about 10 minutes for our orders to arrive. I ordered the spicy schezwan beef w/ veggies and brown rice and my fiance ordered the honey mango chicken with broccoli and white rice. Our meals also came with ginger salad which was very tasty!
I. Food: If you want Americanized Chinese food then you won't be disappointed. We knew we weren't ordering authentic Chinese and that was completely fine (we weren't in the mood for it). The food itself was good. I wanted something spicy and the schezwan definitely had a kick. My fiance's honey mango chicken was lightly battered but definitely had a nice sweet taste to it. The serving sizes are very generous! I'm a pretty big eater and was able to save my meal for dinner and lunch leftovers.
II. Service: Even though we ordered takeout we were greeted immediately and the waitor at the bar was fast to get us our orders.
III. Decor: Very classy and modern. This would be a great spot to bring a date to have a nice meal. Not too dark but dark enough to set the mood.
IV. Parking: R Rice shares the parking lot with a Doctor's office but I don't see that being a problem as the parking spaces outside are plentiful. It could potentially be packed at around lunch time but again, there are a lot of spaces.
I will come back in the future. R Rice is so close to where I live that when I'm in the mood for decent sushi or Americanized Chinese/Japanese, I'll know where to go.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Asim Q.Atlanta, GA10155502Feb 10, 2018
We had been wanting to try this place for a while. Luckily got the chance to go there for early dinner. Here's my stake...
Ambiance - decent
Host - good. Courteous
Freshness of food - yes
Speed of service - on par. Decent
We tried following:
Mango Tuna Wrap from Appetizer section. This was surprisingly good. They've other options as well which I recommend checking out as we may have rushed ourselves into ordering this as we were very hungry.
R Rice sizzling house plate - mix of chicken, beef, and shrimp. No complains yet nothing spectacular.
Korean Bibim Bap bowl with chicken - again, tasted ok. No surprises but definitely didn't feel like it was Korean. They could've provided kimchi or other garnishments.
Overall, restaurant was ok. I guess our expectation was leaning for more flavor which we didn't find.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
