I do not recommend using this moving company. They cancelled my move with less than 24 hour notice. The truck that was supposed to pick up my items had a mechanical problem. They did not have a backup plan and were not willing to work with me to find an alternate option. What started out as a good thing turned into a terrible ordeal. They left me in a bind and now I have to find another moving company that can pick up my items ASAP.

They were flexible. Worked fast and worked hard. They were able to fit in everything in a well organized manner.

Got these movers thru uhaul website. One guy said he has to leave exactly after 2 hours coz he has 2 jobs. But he was 10 minutes later on the 2nd location.

no issues with their moving but the attitude and also the business model involved. I got their service thru uhaul at 95 an hour, I was not warned that I will still be paying for the transportation time eventho I was the one driving the truck, not them. So basically it's free money for them during the time I was driving the truck.

i still gave a tip as courtesy. Probably next time I move Il hire those with real trucks not just the service like this company does.

They broke all of our valuables and our tables are shattered to shreds. It looks like they kicked everything we owned down the street in the rain. They are saying they will pay fifty cents on the pound? Some of the electronics they broke were under ten pounds and thousands of dollars.

If I could not give any stars I would! This company is HORRIBLE!!! They will rip you off and lie to you! I moved my daughter across country from Texas to NYC and they were sub-contracted out with Alliance Moving Company. Big mistake as well...Alliance never told me they were going to sub my move out! They got Ram, to do the move, in which he sub-contracted as well! My boxes were damaged and appeared to have been opened and gone thru. There were several things missing/stolen and lots of damaged items!

My suggestion to anyone out there...STAY CLEAR OF THIS COMPANY!!!!! You will save yourself lots of head aches and legal battles if you go somewhere else!

I wish I called another company! I actually had to move a 4 bedroom house so I had another company move half the house. They were excellent movers but we had a misunderstanding about the rates. So I called this company to do the rest of the job. They said the would confirm what time they would come the night before the move but they never called. I kept calling repeatedly the morning of the move until I got a hold of the lady who promised to call me only to find out that they were on a holiday the day before which happened to be a Wednesday. They arrived at 10:30 and there were 4 guys and a truck. It took them so long to get the remaining 1/2 of the house which didn't have as much heavy stuff as the first move. They wanted to charge me an extra 1/2 hour for driving time and the left 1/2 hour earlier then the expected time but charged me for it. There boss spent 40 min trying to do paperwork for the delivery charges while his 3 fellow workers slowed down their pace quite a bit to unload our stuff at the new house. I was so furious with how slow they became all of a sudden that actually started yelling "please hurry up your waiting time"
      Very unprofessional behavior.
I Will never use them again or recommend them. I paid so much more to them than the company before them. I should have stayed with the first company.

We arranged with Colonial Van Lines to move us from San Antonio, Texas to Elk Grove, California back in August of 2013. Little did I realize at the time that many large moving companies are nothing more than brokers that sub-contract the actual move to another company. Quality Moving Services was the subcontractor that arrived at our home at about 9 am on 8/21/13. They were ill prepared as the truck they brought seemed too small for our 1,700 square foot home worth of possessions. Half way through the packing they had to run to Home Depot to purchase more moving boxes. At least these were new as the ones they had brought with them were all beaten up and falling apart. I guess they figured that the tape covering the big holes in the boxes was good enough. They also did not have enough supplies such as shrink-wrap for the couches, etc. At about 10 pm the truck was full and they still had things to load with no more room. I was forced to go to my neighbor and ask if they could hold the rest of our things in their garage. They were gracious enough to allow this as we were in a bind because the new owners were supposed to move into the house the very next morning. The movers took our things to a warehouse in Houston to be reloaded (at some point) into an 18 wheeler for the interstate part of the move.
After we received our things and unpacked in California there were many broken items and dents/scratches on much of the furniture and large appliances. It was very obvious that the broken items were caused by very poor packaging and the lack of proper packaging materials. There were also a few missing items that had either been lost or stolen. We filed a claim with Colonial but the way the system works (value by weight) we ended up getting just a fraction of the true loss value. In the final analysis I wrote this review to hopefully spare anyone else from the trauma of using Quality Moving Services. It is obvious to us that 'Quality' is in the name alone and not in how this company performs.

If I could give negative stars I WOULD!! They totally tried to rip me off! I moved in January 2014 and got this company from Alliance. Well, first, the dude shows up with a truck that was too small, and only 1 other guy. I knew how much my stuff weighed because the military just moved me 4 months prior. When he got to my place, he tried saying I had at least 6000lbs, tho I knew it was less than 4500. But Alliance said that I pay half when he loads, then the other half before unloading, and after I go to the weigh station after to prove that my stuff was no where near the 6100 he claimed it to be, I'd get my money back right then. LIE!!
He subcontracted another guy to unload. My stuff was all wet, furniture broken, but somehow, it was all there and all the stuff I PERSONALLY packed made it ok.
HORRIBLE "quality" weighed the truck before loading without me, so what good would have been to go to the scales after he loaded?? The unloading guy had me meet him before and after the load. Well, not only was my stuff not 6100lbs, it was only 3800! Just about HALF of what quality tried to charge me for. It took a lot of phone calls to Alliance, but I finally got my money back. I filed a claim for the damages, and got back a fraction of the cost, and I got it from Alliance. Then the guy at Alliance said they're never going to use "quality" again. Well, another LIE!! Seeing Lisa M's review was March, they're still using HORRIBLE "quality". I filed a complaint with US Dept of Transportation, but apparently nothing came of it.

I wish there was less than a one-star option for this company. OMG where do I start??My appointment was scheduled from 8-10am, they showed up after 6pm without even a phone call. Quote was for a studio apartment at 1,500lbs. Natali is who I have been dealing with assured me that it should even be less with the little that I had to move from CA to CO. To ensure that the price would stay the same Natali said that I could follow the truck to the weigh station and go from there if it were anything over the quote of 1500lbs. Well the little peneske truck didn't leave my house until after 9pm and the weigh station they wanted to go to was over 2 hours south of me, so I told the driver to call me once he got there. Well 4 hours later still no call, so I called them to find out that they were half way to L.A (which is about 4 hours from me) and that the actual weight was over 3,000lbs!! This increased what I had to pay by over $1,200!! This news came to me via text message at past 1am in the morning the next day! Now I am having to deal with possibly renting a truck and picking up my things myself over 8 hours away!! Horrible communication and service straight from the beginning. Customer service over phone is friendly but once you leave a deposit does not return your calls or emails. STAY AWAY!! This is the type of company you have nightmares about, except mine came true.
