I am a huge fan of this place and have been meaning to write a review for awhile. I have two forms of chronic pain and throw in some anxiety on top of that...I have been using Kratom for a few years for relief. CBD doesn't really help me, but their products are legit. Their Kratom is lovely - a bit pricey compared to online stores, but they make up for it in quality.
Their herbs and teas for overall wellness are awesome as well. I wasn't going in there for those types of things, but do now. I get great recommendations and opinions for what works for them and others. Make sure to ask questions! They are there to help :)

I've recommended this store to many friends after having a garbage experience in my search to find good kratom. Everyone working at Qi has been extremely welcoming and have a lot of expertise on everything being sold. If you're looking for high-quality kratom - and a locally owned business managed run by some amazing humans - this is the place.

Staff was very knowledgeable of the product and super helpful. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. They take cash only but also has an ATM in the store I'd needed. I'll definitely try them again.

I really never know what to expect in regards to shops that stock products like the ones provided by this business, but a friend's reference and some internet-research dabbling gave me the impression (and a prayer to God for that impression to actually prove accurate) that this store is very professional and clean, with staff that takes pride in the knowledge, quality, and selection of their merchandise, versus some of the more across-the-tracks "headshops" with poor lighting, a noxious stench that attacks you as soon as you come within twenty yards of it, Pink Floyd over the speakers, and usually inevitably, at least two white dudes with dreadlocks who couldn't even begin to answer any of your questions helpfully, regardless of how hard you may try.
I'll cut to the chase (finally), stop smack-talking headshops (though I generally condemn the existence of any that all-too-often adhere to that basic formula listed above, as I believe that those stores which are able to sell "legal highs" but are unable to give any helpful information about their "proprietary" ingredients or warnings or, really, anything helpful that may serve as a means of reducing potential harm) and save you the (likely-long-extinguished) suspense: this shop was a fantastic departure from that headshop bogeyman that inexplicably rests at the forefront of my mind most of the time.
The store is tiny but beautifully laid-out, light and airy, and very well-stocked. The employees whom I spoke to, and who were also helping other customers, were incredibly welcoming and knowledgeable. While obviously you can't be absolutely certain about the contents of any of their products (as they are not FDA-approved, and the store is not a DC-regulated dispensary), I recognized many of the brands sold and feel quite confident that what you see is what you get.
It's very obvious by the information volunteered by the employees (including some very beautiful brochures and pamphlets about their shop and their products -- I uploaded a crappy iPhone photo of the front and back of an introductory brochure to CBD that serves as an excellent 101 for any "beginner") and the upkeep of their shop that they take pride in the range, efficacy, utility, and quality of the products that they sell, and with each customer who doesn't quite know yet where to start in the potentially huge -- and therefore often excessively confusing or contradictory -- world that can comprise CBD or kratom or other herbal modalities, it truly seems that the folks working here make a true effort to match customers with the type of item that would best suit their needs.
I definitely give five stars and doff my cap to this store -- after failing to renew my medical marijuana card this past year and having lacked the money and time to rectify that, this type of store is an excellent alternative or complement to the regulated DC medical dispensaries. Obviously they legally cannot sell anything containing THC, but that's no problem with me, and it's always good to see a store that theoretically COULD source more "stoner"-centric products and try to get away with it (we've all seen those weird pop-ups in DC from time to time), they make it very clear that they intend to follow the law to the letter.
I hope that this shop sticks around for a long time, because it's very impressive -- aesthetically, economically, and by the helpfulness and non-judginess of their staff -- and I always want to support local businesses like that. (To be fair, I believe that they do have another shop in Illinois or something, but even so, it's still a small, independent company that seems to main high standards and ethics in an industry where they could easily get away with selling bunk garbage, with many customers none the wiser. I admire their integrity.)

I love this little shop! Purchased some tea here a few times now - the employees are always informative, thoughtful, and polite. They go the extra mile to care for their customers which I truly appreciate. The quality of tea here is also immaculate. Being an avid tea drinker for a few years now, I have found my go to local spot to support. Their delivery options have been especially helpful during this pandemic. On my most recent purchase while I was sick, they even threw in a few goodies to help me recover. It's the little things like this, that will have me as a loyal customer to them.

Cash only? In 2019?
So, if you're like me and walked 45 minute to get CBD to help out your dumpster fire off a back don't bother if you don't have enough cash like I did.
Very disappointed but that's what I get for not calling I guess.

It's like Haight-Ashbury on U Street.
CBD is all the rage nowadays, and in the past year I've had CBD gummies, CBD cookies, CBD coffee, CBD tea, and CBD pasta in different establishments around the country. Qi-Kratom sells a version of every CBD product under the sun, and the shop has a slight ashram vibe that makes you relax instantly when you walk through the door. I can't really attest to the quality of their products since I'm sort of new to CBD and don't really take it very seriously, but the prices are reasonable and it's certainly worth a visit.

When you walk into the store, you feel relaxation already setting in. The ambience can only be described as serene. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful about their wide selection of products.
For some reason, I thought that the shop would serve tea already made. It does not, but you will go home with a stash of products that will ease your pain and mind.
I suggest getting a CBD bath bomb. It provides ultimate relaxation.

LOVE their house brand CBD oil! Helps me focus, eases my nerves... overall great place!

I love Qi! I've been coming here since it opened and it's improved my life in so many ways. The employees are so nice and knowledgeable and it's always a pleasure just to walk through the door and learn about all the products and medicines they offer. A great addition to the community.

I was really impressed with this new shop!
Great selection plus plus warm hospitality and great customer service from the proprietor. I have no doubt this will be a welcome addition to DC.
The shop has a great vibe. Clean and warm, the owner has done a really good job showcasing his merchandise in a tasteful way. Unlike many similar shops I've been in this one didn't have the vibe of a dank hippie pit, it was very pleasant. Very convenient location on U St corridor with widely available metered parking and also not a bad walk from the U Street metro on the green/yellow lines.
As for the product, Qi is charging at a price point that will be sure to win him many regulars. For a brick and mortar business the prices are VERY fair. The quality of the merchandise is very good, not bulk-bought garbage from what I can tell.
I have nothing bad to say about this shop. I hope it prospers.
