Under new management......
This place is a joke! I had an alternator replaced there in April 2018. Came back 7 months later because it is going out again and I was told they are not honoring the warranties of the previous owners. I'm sure your honoring Accounts payable and accounts receivable for the company. This is a scam. If you want to be in good standings and you take over a company you would think they would honor warranties. However, I was offered a discounted rate that was more than the original price was. I will make sure to send people away from this place. VERY Unsatisfied NON-customerHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Christopher B.Mission Viejo, CA139213Feb 4, 2017
As someone who doesn't know much about cars, I'm a favorite target of auto repair shops, so I try to be as careful as I can be not to get ripped off.
Ralph had the lowest price for a water pump in the area, and was able to fit me into his schedule for the Saturday before the Super Bowl, when everyone else closed at 2 pm.
Naturally, he found other things "wrong" with the car, but straight up told me if they weren't a big deal. He also showed me how certain things worked or why they fell apart in my vehicle.
But overall I was very pleased with how he treated my business, as well as my vehicle. I will very likely return if necessary for more repairs, and I can recommend his shop with no problemHelpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jenna R.Lake Elsinore, CA051Jan 4, 2019
Came in the other day to get an oil change (cheapest around i found) and the guy Russel there was super fast and even cleaned my engine bay. He was very sweet and helpful, he walked me through my car and told me things I needed to get done and showed me them vs those scammers that say something and charge you.Thank you guys for the awesome service and helpful information. Would definitely recommend!

I had a really good experience here. I have had a difficult time searching for a trustworthy mechanic for quite some time. I can honestly say that this shop is outstanding on all levels. Russell is an awesome mechanic. The moment I walked into the shop, I was greeted by great customer service. I was even more impressed by the thorough explanation of the work needed to be completed for my car to operate. To top it off, the prices were very reasonable and the service was superb. My car is running much better now that I took it to this shop. I would recommend this shop to anyone who needs any work done on their car and will continue to bring my car to this shop for future car maintenance.

Smooth sailing from the already super competitive quote. Did nearly everything via messenger, dropped my car off before my work day, and had it back by mid afternoon. Russ was friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional. I'll be back for more repairs no doubt, thanks guys!!

I love this Auto Repair Shop. The owner Ralph is real nice and Vince is the best Mechanic ever! I had a major AC issue which was a hard problem to solve and he fixed it perfectly. Have brought my car back for a oil change and was happy with that service to. Referred my Mom here and she was happy with them too. If you are looking for a honest mechanic or business who treat you right. I would definitely recommend this Purffect Auto to anyone!

Back in 2010-2011, I used to take my cars to Purrfect on Madero for oil changes since I didn't have time to do them myself. However, one Saturday when I took my 2001 Elantra in for a simple oil change, Ralph (the owner) came to me when I was in the waiting room and told me the oil pan drain plug hole was stripped. And that I had to fork out $300+ to have a new oil pan put in. I told him to show me the oil leak that that would have been created from me driving a car with a stripped oil drain plug hole. He said the car was not leaking when I brought it in, but when his mechanic took out the plug, he noticed the hole was stripped.
BULL!!!! Ralph, who are you trying to fool. Your guy probably stripped the hole and now you guys want me to pay for your mistake. I am no mechanic, but I have done many oil changes, brake jobs, timing belt, etc to know that any fluid discharge hole which uses a plug would not seal properly if it is stripped. So if the hole was stripped prior to bringing it to your shop, there would have been a massive oil leak, and probably a seized engine from lack of oil. Drain plug holes are stripped when you use power tools to remove the plugs, or when you cross-thread them.
At that point I lost confidence in Ralph. And I learned a valuable lesson. Always do your own work if you can and even if you have to pay more, in the short run, for the tools, parts, etc. I hate the feeling of going somewhere to have something done, and then some grease monkey coming out and telling me to fork out $$$ to have something else done. I really hate that kind of anxiety.
I have since then done oil changes on all my 5 cars, and I have never once stripped a oil pan drain hole. I have also told everyone in my office to take their cars elsewhere. I don't trust these guys. Just FYI Ralph, an oil pan for a 2001 Elantra was $65 at O'Reilly's with 1 hour labor rate to put it in.
BTW, Vince is great.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - JD C.Costa Mesa, CA56103May 16, 2013
I purchased a car battery from Autozone and didn't have tools or the time to deal with changing the battery. I called ahead and spoke with Vince, who said to come on down. Vince was polite, friendly, and even had a sense of humor. He was duel wielding phone lines and the place seemed pretty busy, but I was never made to feel less important than someone that called on the phone after I arrived...I value service that understands triage.
I know it was just a battery but I was done in less than 20 mins for $20 and I will trust Vince again for future needs.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
