PROSE Nails - Madison West

Great nail salon and very clean. I would have given 5 starts, but my first experience was not good due to an inexperienced nail tech. I had to get the gel manicure fixed as it started having issues after a few days. They did fix the issue, but the manicure was just not good. This was due to having someone who was not experienced and she made multiple mistakes.

Ask for Marit. She fixed the first set of issues and I got my subsequent manicure from her. I am now 1.5 weeks into the gel manicure and it still looks great. Marit is extremely methodical and does a phenomenal job.

Wonderfully calm environment. Super clean. Friendly staff. First time here, arriving with a friend that booked our appointments, as a birthday gift. The Pedi was great. Interesting "membership" they offer. Since I was a guest today, I didn't fully explore the details.

I went in and they were extremely rude to me! The person that did my nails didn't even tell me her name,when I got mine done I wanted REAL NAIL ART not stickers! I paid $40 for someone to paint my nails and put stickers on them! The person who did my nails didn't talk to me and she had her AirPods in listening to music. When I said that I wanted some little white flowers as nail art they said that they didn't have enough time to do it. I will never return to that place again. The person who did my nails didn't even ask me what nails I wanted the stickers on.

After my nail artist vanished into thin air (Velette where are you??.......) and I didn't find a nail artist I was happy with at my previous salon, I let my nails languish for quite a while. I was pretty excited when this place was being built right next to my chiropractor and my yoga studio. Then stupid covid struck which delayed the opening so I was even more excited when it was ok for them to open.

The decor/design of the place is like the not-too-distant-future with super clean and bright minimalistic design.

They are suuuper conscientious about cleanliness -- both the regular stuff that is important in a nail salon and the additional precautions needed with the plague that has beset us. They have plexiglas shields for manicures and all of the stations are 6 feet apart and are very very diligent about cleaning.

It is subscription-based, which works really well for me because I have special needs nails. This also means if I need an emergency repair, a last-minute touchup or color change, it is all included in the subscription. They also have an app which makes scheduling super easy and it a part of a chain so with the subscription you can go to any of their other locations and you're covered.

Last but not least, the quality of the salon is unsurpassed. I usually see Sharita but I have also had Keisha (sooo sorry if I messed up your name spelling) do my nails and a gel mani lasts easily 2 weeks as long as it isn't the clear-ish polishes that don't have a lot of structure to them.

The only criticism I have is that I wish there were a larger selection of orange polishes. They recently added a new line of polishes but there are only 2 shades of orange -- a vermillion type orange and a yellowy velveeta type orange. I've been hoping for a middle of the road orange. But there are so many other colors to choose from that this isn't a huge deal.

Would love to support local female owned businesses. Terribly rude behavior from the owner the second I walked in. If you don't like dealing with people, don't be the face of your service based business.

This is my favorite nail place in madison! My nails always look great and stay in tact for a long time. All the employees are nice and willing to help with whatever you need. I highly recommend to anyone looking for a new nail place!

I was so disappointed in both their work and their prices. While the salon is clean (as you would expect it to be to meet state code) the salon is nothing special to warrant the high prices. I had the "express" manicure and pedicure for $72.00 plus a $10.00 tip. Absolutely way overpriced and my manicure started chipping the next day. The pedicure was ok, but again nothing special. When I commented on their prices, I was told I could pay for a "membership" that would lower the price. What a racket! I just moved here from a large city where you can get beautiful mani/pedis for $50.00 including tip. I will not recommend them nor will I go back.

Love my manicure! It was great being able to go get my nails done. Everything was spotless -- extremely clean and sanitary. I loved all the 7-free and 10-free color options. Excited to make the most of my membership here.

I cannot say enough good things about this place! The staff is excellent, it's clean and sanitary, and they always have a good selection of music as well. I've had both manicures and pedicures and they've been top notch each time and last long. If I lived here I'd be a regular customer for sure.

A true spa experience! From the warm neck pillow & blanket, to the water and offer of a phone charger, the experience is 10/10. Staff is super friendly & the place is clean. Will be going here regularly, joined their membership program!
