We had ProMax service our Navien tankless water heater. While it was challenging to get a hold of them to schedule a date -- phone/text tag! -- we were very pleased once Evan made it to our house to do the work.

What a difference having a company that specializes in tankless water heaters makes!

1. Although our Navien NPE240A has a built-in recirculation pump, it hadn't been turned on by Butterfield, the HVAC company that did the installation. Evan pointed that out and asked if we wanted it turned on. Yes, was our no-brainer answer! For the last 10 years, we wondered why it took so long to get hot water!? Once recirc was enabled, we got almost instantaneous hot water upstairs in seconds when previously it would take up to 5 mins

2. Evan also pointed out that Butterfield failed to install an expansion tank. Turns out, a closed plumbing system without a hot water expansion tank risks damage: water pressure can build and build, getting high enough to damage valves, plumbing fixtures, supply pipes, and even the water heater itself, causing water heater leakage, etc. We had Evan install the expansion tank.

3. Finally, we never informed us that tankless water heaters need regular maintenance (cleaning the air & water filters, and dirt trap; flushing & scaling the heat exchanger & water heater). Once we learned about the maintenance requirements this year, I emailed and called Butterfield multiple times to try and schedule maintenance but never got a reply. Fortunately, I found ProMaxx and Evan :-)

If you are looking for a plumber with integrity, follow-through, and knowledge- you need to look no further. I called ProMax Water Heaters and Plumbing to get an estimate of how much it would cost to fix an incorrectly installed shower faucet handle from a contractor, and in 30 seconds Evan knew exactly what was wrong and offered to walk me through the steps to fix it myself. Let me repeat that. Evan offered to walk me through it over the phone. FOR FREE. That is mind-blowing. I did exactly as he instructed and it is now fixed. Evan is AMAZING. Not going to ever call anyone else because this kind of customer service is unheard of. It is a reflection of the integrity and professionalism at ProMax, so save their number in your phone, because it is PRICELESS.

I contacted ProMax on a Sunday, via their web site, and explained that I had a broken water heater and was looking for a company that could replace it within a day or two. I was surprised to hear back within hours, and not simply from a scripted 'customer service agent' that was telling me someone would be in touch soon! This was a real person that actually performs the real work, asking for photos of the space and the water and electrical connections and asking about parking!! After some back and forth with those details I was provided an estimate and once I'd agreed to that I was put on the schedule for the following day. Two young gentlemen arrived on time and got right to work, dealing with the complexities and showing professionalism and friendliness and respect for the property. They worked efficiently and cleaned up well. One item that could be improved is their ability take payment - I needed my check book, which is unusual - but they explained that they had just adopted a new payment system and were working on electronic payment capability. I would definitely call them again.

ProMax did a wonderful job fixing my water heater. I called them after having a bad experience with another company that couldn't figure out what was wrong with my water heater and told me I needed to replace it ($6k). I would highly recommend them - very experienced, professional and great to work with.

Evan + team killed it on my tankless hot water heater install--I was super impressed that he was super patient and willing to work with me, a total n00b at hot water heaters, on placement, long term remodelling project considerations, and also venting options. Got me on the schedule in a timely fashion to accomodate my impending chimney removal work, and was simply a delight! Loving our infinite hot water and freed up a ton of space in our home. Also, by fair the most reasonable estimate/total cost for the job compared to other companies in the area (I got several quotes and did.... way too much research, let me tell you.)

Evan at ProMax was the only one to get back with a written quote to replace our failing water heater, and he was able to make time the very next day! Even when our closet installation proved a bit more challenging than expected, he tracked down the necessary equipment and still finished in a timely fashion. When you think of getting a water heater replaced for the first time it can be an overwhelming ordeal. However, I just had an A+ experience with Evan N. from ProMax Water Heating & Plumbing. I called on Monday morning at 7:30am about a leaky tank that needed to be replaced and he had a written estimate to us by 10am! Not only that, but he was able to get to our condo the next morning.

I had a really great experience! My water heater broke and was leaking over the weekend, I called a bunch of places and most were closed for the weekend. Evan answered and came right out the same day to take a look, and was able to get us taken care of shortly thereafter. He took care of installing a tankless water heater, hooking up the electric and the gas lines as well as drilling exhaust ports to the outside of the house and patching/waterproofing everything. Truly a one stop shop! The work is super clean and he was very nice and helpful and made sure we understood everything. I would definitely recommend his services!
