I met a guy who said he worked there with a friend a few weeks ago. His name was Jorge Molina. I could not believe the ideas he was trying to sell me on. When I looked at the other reviews on Yelp I realized this very deceptive type of sales is done all the time. I do not understand why the government has not investigated this company. Run away fast and run far.

Primerica is an amazing company! I have learned sooo much in finances because I KEPT AN OPEN MIND AND WANTED TO LEARN. If you don't have these things and the DRIVE then this is not for you. I learned how to Pay off $42,000 of debt in 2 years, have my 2010 car paid off in 8 months, have my emergency fund FULLY funded, have my investements giving me 12% AND now I'm saving to buy my house cash in 7 years :) I'm an example Primerica DOES WORK if you follow their system.

I would def recommend Primerica but for only those with an open mind and want to learn. This is not an 8-5 job with a paycheck at the end of the week. You have to hustle!! If you hustle you earn bank and guess what? Not many people hustle. So you are already ahead of the game if you do.

This company does not honor the "Do Not Call List", they call regardless. I reported the sales call to PH:888-382-1222 so they can be fined. I received a call from one of their sales reps who pretended to know a friend of mine who "offered" my phone number because this was something that I would be very interested in. When I asked for this "friends" name the sales rep couldn't remember and quickly changed the subject asking me a number of questions such as where do you live, what are you doing now, do you want to help people get out of debt. The sales rep, as well as this company's on line reviews sound very "cultish". The sales rep continued to ramble on, reading a script and sounding very possessed! When a company does not honor the "Do Not Call List" I believe they are definitely trying to sell you on some type of scam! Enjoy your fine Primerica!

I met the regional vice president Michael Roy, I call him the regional vice president because that's the title on the card he gave me, when I met him we talked about music, he never mentioned anything to me about recruiting me for this company, so he called or texted me and ask if I could meet with him, I went to his office in Burbank and he immediately began trying to sell me on this company, if he would have told me from the beginning what he wanted I would have never met with him. In my opinion, after he realized there was no way I was interested he seem to have an attitude with me and quickly ushered me out of the office, I kept his card solely to write of my experience. now I can trash the card.

As a person who's dealt with Primerica for years I cannot think of one good thing to think about this company. Not one. The people who work for them are annoying and have been duped into thinking that somehow they'll get rich all while trying to recruit more suckers into their scheme.

How have I dealt with them? I've worked in the hotel business where Primerica has their various seminars and they are the single Worst group I've dealt with in two decades In the business. THE worst. My fellow employees cringe when they hear Primerica is coming. Some when call in sick just to avoid them. It's extremely annoying having people try to talk to you about how you can make money with their program and then fail to tip any employees properly during their entire stay. Want to know about this group? Find out where they hold their seminars and ask the employees there how they feel about them. I guarantee you that not one would have a positive word.

They are like some cult religion with ignorant followers and should be avoided at all costs.

I don't understand why people choose to post THEIR failures online. I have done business with this company for over a year and have nothing but awesome things to say. My agent is professional and well informed about financial matters. I even have a member of my family who recently joined and is doing very well. The Primerica Opportunity is not for everyone, but for those who see it, the company puts up a lot of money to make sure they are well trained before they start advising people on their affairs.

Get a clue. If the opportunity is not for you then it is not for you. It doesn't make them a scam or a pyramid scheme.

      First to Review

I decided to write a review about Primerica because I felt that I didn't get all the information upfront. I signed up but soon after decided that it wasn't for me and they did return a portion of my money that I had put down. I believe I got back about $63 from the $99 that I put down.I have just seen a $25 fee added to my credit card after I had requested for them to not make any charges to my account. I am currently in the process of getting this $25 reimbursed to me, I have to get ahold of someone so this may take a while. Hopefuly they will honor it.

Now, I decided to leave Primerica because I didn't like the fact that I was pressured pressured and pressured to set up appointments with family and friends my "team leader" even wanted me to call my former bosses who serve as my references and whom I absolutely did not want to harass because I was looking for a full time job and I did not want to burn any bridges.

The main reason though was the recruitment, I had posted a resume online and I was called thinking that I was being interviewed for a job, I spent two hours in a meeting and yes I was convinced, it seemed like a great opportunity, helping people to get out of debt and so forth and making money at the same time. It caught my attention but then came the part about getting people to join, they don't tell you during the recruitment meeting that you have to call lots of family and friends to set up appointments to sell them products, they call it a presentation. Sorry it comes down to sales and trying to get people to join under you. That was and is not my style so it didn't work for me. What left a really bad taste in my mouth was when I decided to not pursue this type of work. My team leader told me that I had to go to the office in Burbank to fill out some forms, for a partial reimbursement of the $99 that I put down for my background and licensing fee. I got at the office at 10:30 a.m. per a scheduled meeting and I wasn't seen until 11:45 a.m. Then my team leader tried to convince me to stay and when I wasn't having it he got an attitude with me but here is the stinker; he gave me a telephone and fax number to call the main office and they would return my money. Why couldn't he have given me this information over the phone? I wasted gas and more than 2 hours of my time driving there and waiting to be seen. This information could have been given to me over the phone especially since I was absolutely clear that I had no intentions of continuing with the company. That was my experience. This business is not for everyone and it wasn't for me. I would suggest asking a lot of questions because if you don't ask they certainly won't tell you. Good luck!

Avoid this company at all costs! This was the first time I was scammed into something like this, and since have run into similar experiences with other companies. My friend and co-worker approached me one day and said she had started working for an insurance company. As part of her training she said she was required to sit down with a few friends and family members with her supervisor, and go over the company details and insurance options. She said there was no commitment, no costs to me, I was just simply helping her out with her training by listening to a presentation about the company. I agreed to help her out, thinking an hour of my day is worth giving her the credit she needed to finish her training. The night she came over, she brought her "supervisor" with her. We sat down at my dining room table, and right when we sat down, her supervisor asked me if I could have my husband come join us. I told them he was busy, which he was working in the garage, and I told my friend that she didn't mention my husband having to be present. Her supervisor asked me if he needed to be present to make financial decisions, or if I have the authority to do so myself. I told her I was only sitting down to listen to a presentation to help my friend with her training. She tried to insist he join, but I declined, and she finally dropped it. Then she went into a big discussion about making more money and living beyond paycheck to paycheck. She complimented my house, and my "great outgoing personality" and my business knowledge, etc. Then she mentioned that I should get involved with the company as well, and make money selling and promoting insurance. She caught me off guard, which is what most good salespeople try to do, and before I even gave her an answer she pulled out her ipad and started asking me questions. I was trying to be as nice as I could, and help my friend, and I got suckered into signing up with the company. She told me all it would cost is $99 to get my insurance license and I could start selling insurance. My friend never once said a word during this "training presentation". I thought to myself it's only $100...not too much and I could get the license and maybe go work for a larger insurance company in the future. After they left, I had a bad feeling about the whole thing. I explained what happened to my husband and he was shocked that I agreed to it, knowing I do not usually jump into things. I decided to look up Primerica, and the majority of the reviews were really bad, and most of the people who left reviews were suckered into joining the company the EXACT same way I was. They agreed to help out a friend, and was complemented and praised by this salesperson and talked into joining the company. The next day, Monday morning, I called to cancel my application. I was told that I had to wait until it was processed, which would take up to 10 days, and then I could call and cancel. I verified I could still get a refund after the processing time, and the lady advised me I could. I called back 10 days later, and was directed to another customer service line that I could not get through on. It was busy throughout the entire day every time I tried to call. This company is so dishonest. They are manipulating their new hires to convince their family and friends to help their training and then trying to hook them into signing up with the company. I warned my friend, but she has already become so convinced by her supervisor that she can make thousands a month doing this insurance thing. This company is a scam, Yelpers beware!

When Bruce (the representative from Primerica) called, he told me he got my resume and has a job opportunity for me. Since I'm, as well as most are, struggling with getting a job during this recession, I had to be open. I asked him more questions because I thought it was strange. He told me he has my resume in front of him and that this job opportunity would be good for me. I asked him what position it is and he told me it was an office manager position. He works in a small floor office and sends people to other areas for the position. He made it sound like he works at a temp office. I ended up making an appointment with him.

Thankfully, I live close by and didn't have to drive far. While waiting for the elevator, I met another guy who's going for an interview. I asked him if he knew what the company was about, as well as, what was the position he's going in for. He told me he spoke with a female and she wouldn't tell him much. I thought it was strange that Bruce wouldn't tell me much either. I also thought it was strange we're going in for different positions. Then again if it's a temp office, it made sense.

When we got there, we had to sign-in on a sign-up sheet. I wonder if they get paid for people to sign-in. :/ If it's a temp office, they would have made you sign an application but they didn't do that. While waiting there, couple of people came in and I asked them what they're here for. They all came for different positions!!! :/ The people who works there were really nice always asking who you are here for and have you been helped. Someone comes out and ask every minute. After several times, it kind of got annoying... lol~

Unfortunately, Bruce wasn't there and someone else helped me. He took me to his office and I asked him how did you get my resume. He told me he got it through online site like Career Builder. He also said he wasn't too sure why Bruce called me and if I had a resume, I told him I did and gave it to him. Then he said now I know why Bruce called you. As he went on about what type of job this is, recruiting people (pyramid scheme) and trying to help to teach them how to use their money, he told me what part I have. He said they will pay for all the licensing and everything involved, all I needed to do is pay for the background check which will cost me $99. When it costs you something, PLEASE run away. You know this is fake! It shouldn't cost you anything to get a job. I told him I'm not interested and he asked why. I told him I'm not a sales person. I do not sale things to people. He said you should have told me earlier instead of wasting his time!!! He was really cold after I said that and didn't even walk me out. I had to find my own way out.

I would give this experience a 0 star but it won't let me *sigh*. This place deserves a 0 star for the lies, deceiving, and not telling you the truth until you get there!!!
