The weekly emails are very interesting and informative, the staff is extremely helpful staff and they have a great variety of wines from California, Spain, Italy and beyond.

They have a great variety of Whisky and are very knowledgeable in this area as well. We have enjoyed the bottles they've helped us select and of course their wine selection is phenomenal. A little gem, hopefully they'll bring back tastings soon.

Love! I've worked with them many times for special orders and shipping for virtual corporate events and it's been amazing. John has always been open to collaborating with me to get the right wines for our events. We have many wine snobs in our group and they are always impressed with the choices. They are super organized and the shipping process was very smooth, never a worry about the details. And then the storefront is nice - fun to browse with great customer service. They are all kind, fun, and down to earth.

I stopped by to pick up a few bottles of wine as gifts and the staff here are super friendly and knowledgeable about wine. A wide variety of wine and they even offer gift wrap too. Prices are very reasonable. Would highly recommend and definitely planning to come back!

Awesome little wine shop. Just wish they'd adjust their hours to stay open until at least 6pm -- it's hard to get there by 5!

These guys have a nice selection of spirits and wine and go above and beyond in educating customers on unfamiliar vintages. I make a point to stop by when I'm in the neighborhood. Prices are not unreasonable.

My wife and I walked into Prima Vini after a lovely lunch at the restaurant next door. They have a stunning selection of wines with, evidently enough, a strong focus on Italian wines, categorized by region: Southern Italy, Central Italy, Northern Italy. I know they had plenty of Barolo, Brunello di Montalcino, Sangiovese and Chianti on hand. I *didn't* see any Primitivo wine, but then again I didn't look too hard either and I didn't ask them, so it's very possible they got a couple of those. In case you don't know, Primitivo is a red wine from the Sicily region with grapes identical to Zinfandel.

We could have walked out of here with over $500 worth of wine, easy. As it was, my wife found a nice bottle of 2005 Hendry Block 7 Zinfandel. She's been looking for this wine forever and finally found it here at Prima, and at a very reasonable price: the same price, in fact, you'll find it when buying directly from the winemaker.

As far as wine shops are concerned, these guys are absolutely 5 stars!

Peter is extremely courteous and knowledgeable. I stopped in to feed my Dagueneau craving and he later reached out to me to let me know of the 2015 allotment. This is service and knowledge at its finest. They have turned me on to some of my favorite new wines like the Malartic White Burgundy and some fine Rieslings as well. The best Wine shop in the bay? Perhaps... I'll update my review after I eat dinner at their restaurant that is next door.
