(this can be viewed from clicking at the very bottom) Prestigious Pets' mission is to provide sitters who provide safe, secure pet sitting, dog walking, dog running and care, with a variety of services for several pets. We provide the reliability of a company that has over 20 years experience, backup systems in place, and management ready to help, along with the personal care from a staff that is very capable. Our sitters provide personal, one on one care. We only service your pets on their visit. They wont have to share any attention! We are insured, and members of Pet Sitters International. Our staff gladly gives each pet all the love and care that you'd expect from a dependable and professional pet sitter. We provide outstanding service to busy travelers too! My usual pet sitter/walking company, Great Paws (now Sparta) was closed so I decided to try Prestigious Pets based on all of the good reviews. We have 2 dogs and a fish that were being cared for while we were gone a Friday through Tuesday evening.
I knew in the initial meeting that I did not think the company was a good fit. The walker would not share her phone number and said any communications had to be emailed through the company. Since their hours are M-F 9 am - 4pm or Sat. 11 am - 3pm and closed Sunday, this leaves a lot of time where you cannot contact your walker if needed. We would have liked to contact her when we saw the alarm was not set and also when we saw the fish bowl had gone from clear to cloudy.
I also did not like their fee and the services you receive. In the initial meeting, our walker told us it was $20 to come to the house, but that did not include a walk. She told us that was $5 extra. Granted they invoiced and charged us $10 and it took multiple emails to get that credited back on my card. The request was made on 10/6 and I did not receive the credit until 10/14. Their initial quote said the visit included 10-15 minutes of a walk or backyard time so I was confused that our walker was telling us something different.
They also don't automatically give you updates on the visit. In the initial meeting, our walker told us that has to be requested each day via email. I like to know the walk and visit happened and that the dogs are doing well.
Finally, I left a note asking for our keys to be left when the walker left the last day. They charge $15 to get them back at a later date. The walker did not leave the keys and they are going to charge me to get them back.
The one star is for potentially harming my fish, otherwise it would have been 2 stars. We have a camera on the bowl and we watched the water go from clear to cloudy. There was a layer of food on the bottom from way too much being put in it. Even if you don't have fish, you should be able to see the change in the bowl and stop putting in food. Better yet, ask us how much to feed if you are unsure.
The care of our dogs was fine. It is just the company is not one I would recommend due to their policies. I did share this feedback with them and they wanted to discuss it. However, I have no plans to use them again and did not want to take the time to discuss the issues.Business owner information

Please note that we try very hard to resolve every issue, with any customer that brings a concern to our attention. Unfortunately reading this review was the first notice of any concern that we got. Please know we tried very hard, even afterwards, to find resolution. We've highlighted some points we felt to be very important below. Thank you for reading!
A LOT of effort is put into addressing any concerns even before they happen also! (as is apparent by the great positive reviews we have received here)
-We provide a face to face meeting to discuss all needs, important details (communications, keys, scheduling, policies) and also some other important factors UP-Front. We even provide a copy of this info in writing as well. Transparency is extremely important to us. We would much rather be turned down initially, than accept business that may potentially disappoint our customers.
-In order to make absolutely sure that nothing important falls though the cracks, our sitters know the importance of including the office in communications regarding care, scheduling, details, updates, and more. (phone OR email) A single, individual person missing a phone call or a text will not ever inhibit communications with our customers and our great staff about their wonderful furrkidds, because we ensure several eyes are watching and ears are listening.
-This is a 24/7 business, and our communication abilities support that. We have emergency phone lines for all our sitters, and monitor our phone and emails for emergencies. Office hours are simply that. They are office hours, for office duties. They do not limit our ability to communicate outside of them, if necessary.
-Communication regarding invoicing and pricing is always discussed up front, most times even before the initial meeting. Although some changes can occur based on the needs expressed by our customers. We also have accounting services to assist us with any issues. That may sometimes add a business day or two to any monetary issue we are trying to resolve. We of course appreciate any concern and patience regarding this.
-We actually have a great, and FAIL-SAFE system for updates! (yep.. we go over this in the "Meet and Greet" too) It ensures that every one of our customers is able to inquire and find out how their babies are doing without fail. And there is also a really neat and technological way that our customers can check in to ensure that their visits were completed and went well.
-We are SUPER secure with our customers keys. We wont take risks with your security. (And you guessed it.. we also go over this in the "Meet and Greet" too!) We have several ways to return keys when asked. And even before we take them, we explain how we are able to return them to make sure everyone is happy and understands ahead of time. In the above instance, the only charge is to cover the cost of sending them by certified mail to make sure that they don't end up in the hands of someone that they shouldn't. But please remember, that is not the only option.

This business is absolutely amazing with pets!! I moved to Dallas for 2 years for business purposes and was worried about my dog, an Australian Shepard, and how he would be in a new apartment while I went to work every day being he is a high energy dog. I came across Prestigious Pets and immediately called them. They are so friendly and helpful, but most importantly REASSURING! They made sure I was comfortable and knew my pup was going to be okay with them! They had just redid their website as well which makes it even more easier! I highly recommend this business to any pet owner looking to have their animal be in good hands!

Beware before doing any business with those guys.
Their technology is a nightmare, the website is DATED and you can't really do anything without it turning into a hassle. What I hate the most is that you can't get an actual price estimate, when you get a total price then your appointment is already booked.
It honestly started on a good note, they took care of my cats during a trip and it seemed ok.
I used them again and I started to see weird things:
- They don't give you updates
I honestly don't give a crap about the whole "oh we treat pet first" (which also is a lie, more on this later). It's 2019 and there is technology out there. Give updates after each visit through an app, it takes 2 seconds and gives peace of mind. It's mind-blowing that you guys can't get that
- The quality has dropped drastically (at least for cats)
The previous lady was great. Now there's a new guy and he's just not good. On my last trip, the water wasn't changed daily, it was disgusting when we came home and the food wasn't removed from the plate after each feed so a crusty mess developed.
- You can't get anyone on the phone
When you call the front office they don't know anything and tell you to send an e-mail.
What's the point of having a phone line.
- They don't respect their appointment times
I installed a sensor on my door because I was expecting that visits weren't happening as they say and guess what: I was right.
The guy was supposed to come between 6 and 9, he didn't.
He showed up at like 1 pm and nobody told me anything.
I had a friend come in faster than him (after I had called the office) to take care of my cats. When the Prestigious Pet person came in he said: "I really love those cats bro". Right.
They said they would refund me for this: they didn't.
- Their advertised price vs what they charge on credit cards is different
at three separate occasions, I have noticed this. They send me an email with a total price and the price charged on my credit card is different.
I sent 2 emails about this: no answer.

I understand a loss in quality or bad service but being ripped off is something I do not tolerate.
So in a nutshell: You can do better in Dallas. Those guys are def not the #1 pet sitter.

Prestigious Pets is the place to go if you are looking for a quick, easy and affordable hospitality service for your special companion. I hired Prestigious Pets when I was visiting Texas for a few days. The best part about this company is they come directly to your hotel room to babysit your furry friend. I could go out to eat without worrying about him barking and bothering other hotel guests. I definitely recommend this company for your next visit to Texas with your furry friend!

My husband and I love to travel on big trips twice a year. This year we decided to go to Costa Rica. My dogs and cats are like family and the only thing I hesitate when travel is their care. We have had previous experience with Prestigious Pets and knew they would be in good hands. While we were gone we found out that do to the Corona Virus we might not make it back as flights were being canceled and borders closed. Thankfully we did make it back and had the peace of mind that if we were stuck in another country they would be taken care of. I appreciate the updates that were sent and am so happy to have found someone who would love my animals like I do and gives me the peace to be able to enjoy my trips and not worry if something happens to prevent us from getting back on time. Highly recommend!

Great place to have your "little ones" taken care of. Love that they do more than just dog walking. You can have a variety of durations on visits, overnight care and even waste removal. With a Great Dane, that is impressive. Another great feature is the online client portal. Definitely check out!!

I have used Prestigious Pets for some time, now.
What I like about them is that you can book your time online.
My experience had been average. I wish I could say excellent. . I have had a few problems and it is difficult to reach someone when needed, by phone. If you are patient, e-mail is the best way.Business owner information

When we are with pets, we are concentrating on them and not the phone. =)
Normally we get praise for that. But I'm glad to be able to clear it up.
Pet care and well being is our priority. So unless it is an emergency we will not talk on the phone while out on visits with them. Just as you would prefer our complete attention be focused on your baby when we are with them, we do the same for all our customers as well.
Now if it is an emergency, then that's a different story!! You can see another review posted 6/11 about a real emergency for an example.
A quick question could have cleared this up. Thank you for the feedback though, and if there is any way we can improve the service we provide feel free to reach us directly! =) You can often get the answer needed straight from us. It's always great to find a place to take my dogs. I am happy by the service that they provide. The staff are very helpful and are always willing to answer any questions I might have. They treat my dog like I do. I always recommend my friends to Prestigious Pets. I have to says it's the little things that the Prestigious Staff does that keeps me going back again and again.

I have used this service 5 times in total. Normally they do a great job, however, the last 2 times I have used them they cancelled my appointment the day of requested service causing me to scramble to find someone. Upon calling them for an explanation to get ahold of anyone that can make a decision is extremely difficult and they do not seem interested in calling me back to make things right.

Clark,
I'm Sorry your card was declined on the last minute reservation you made. Maybe try a card with funds in it, or just keep your dads card on file with us next time.
The links below will show others that securing payment for the services we offer is a repeated problem we've encountered with you.
When a problem came up this last time, on a reservation you booked last minute, we immediately gave you the option of using docu-sign and e-signature for another card. Good thing your dad was able to pay for you.
We have also asked before in the past, that you make sure you have a valid card on file before booking with us to avoid the frustration or this potential problem.
The sitters love animals, but cant work for free. They have their own bills to pay too.
If payment is declined, the reservation is not approved. But as soon as we receive valid payment the reservation is immediately reprocessed.
When booking your reservation the day before you needed service, it does not leave much time for processing.
We love helping out with Greg, but simply cannot help if you cannot pay your sitter.
Your father paid the most recent reservation, where your credit card was also declined, again.
But in less than an hour, your reservation was approved. And we were also there within an hour!
I'm sorry if the only way to defend ourselves may cause you some embarrassment. Thats not my intent here.
We would never share this info publicly. But you have unfortunately tried to endanger or damage our reputation.
