I'm new to this gym and I love the atmosphere. The staff here are all really friendly. Channy and Dave always make me feel welcomed. Not to mention I like their music playlist, a little bit of Drake mixed in with a little bit of Slipknot.

Most areas are clean but weights are ALWAYS a mess. No one puts anything back in the right areas. Someone needs to be responsible for fixing the weights throughout the day or Powerhouse needs to put up printed out and eliminated courtesy signs to remind new and reoccurring guests to put the weights back in numerical order and off the floor. It's gross and upsetting for people who work full time and have to spend extra time while working out to go on a quest to find specific weights.

Customer service (0 stars) - We tried to cancel our membership last month. We were told if we submitted cancellation day of when our next payment goes through, we wouldn't get charged the next month by the manager, Olga. Their cancellations are handled by a third party company (abc financial). We submitted it via the email provided and were told different information by ABC: our next payment would still be going through because February has 28 days and their cancellation policy is 30 days unless Powerhouse sent them an email or called to tell them the same information they told us.
I played phone tag with Powerhouse and ABC to get nothing resolved. Powerhouse told me that all things membership related were handled by abc and abc told me powerhouse dealt with special cancellation requests.
I use to work for a gym for 8 years as a manager and know that what abc is saying is correct -- a simple email to abc can resolve the problem OR an email to upper management can approve a cancellation request day of.
Example: My boyfriend actually got his sister's membership cancelled at powerhouse without a 30 day notice because he had talked to the owner's son who happened to be at the gym that day and took care of it day of no questions asked. The gym I worked at also used ABC so Powerhouse gave us unnecessary pushback and stress from no reason. I just want what was told to us to be honored, and instead we got charged pointlessly for another month.
Cleanliness (5 stars): hands down the cleanest gym I have been to.
Childcare (2 stars): they have 3 strike rule for children's behavior. If the child gets all 3 strikes the kids are suspended for a week-- if that was it then it would be fine. However, they basically punish and inconvenience the parents by requiring them to attend 5 visits at the gym for 30 min in order to remove the suspension -- this makes zero sense to me. Why would I drive 20 min to get a 30 min workout and then drive 20 min to go back home? That's so inconvenient for the parent and a waste of time. It would make more sense allow me to keep my kid home for a week and release them from suspension after.
Front desk (3 stars) - the only person that says hi is Olga, the manager, everyone else seems like they could care less about who is coming in. The other people who work there literally don't know what they are doing -- I asked them to update my billing once and they had no idea how to do it.Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

When my husband & I first started with the gym the experience was great. The kids club was awesome too.
Then management changed. Things continued to happen that made our time here not pleasant. When we decided to cancel the entire process was a mess and there was so much back and forth and animosity from the current manager. I had to go through their billing department whom said that I would still be responsible for the annual fee when I cancelled, and said that the powerhouse manager would have to wave it. When we originally signed up we were told that we wouldn't have to pay an annual fee as we selected the highest available membership and signed up during a promotional period. Trying to get a straight answer was an absolute nightmare. I had to call the murrieta location 4+ times and continuously got "the manager is busy and will call back" it wasn't until I called and the manager herself answered. That experience in of itself was some of the worst customer service. It wasn't an issue paying or not paying a fee the issue was how rudely I was spoken to, and ultimately just being brushed off without a single care. This truly just ruined any positive opinion I had of this gym.
So back to EOS we go.Helpful 4Thanks 1Love this 3Oh no 0 - Mark S.Temecula, CA91359Jul 10, 2023
Echo all the terrible reviews for this establishment. They are listed on the Tivity website, when I went in, they were initially ok with me signing up. Then when I told them I would only be there once a week and it wouldn't be my "primary" gym they changed their tune and said they ended their partnership with Tivity. I asked if I could at least work out today since I drove all the way here, and they said sure for $20.

The front desk is friendly & helpful & gave us a great deal when we were interested in paying up front for memberships. Should out to Olga for always smiling and willing to leave the desk to help out members. I'm new to working out, so she checks in on me and encourages me every time I see her. I tried a class with Ingrid and loved it. No big egos, instead genuine concern for her students and incredibly kind. I love this place and plan to keep this momentum going!

I am a senior, 85 years old, and signed up for training in December 2022.
At the later part of March my wife become ill and I had to cancel my training and gave them 30 days notice on April 3, 2023. I was still charged $220 for April and again charged on my credit card $220 on May 12.
I was told by their management I should get a refund for the May charge. I have asked many times and have not received it and they have not given me a valid answer.
My wife's illness got worse and worse and she passed away on July 25. I consider this elder abuse in the worse manner. I cannot recommend an establishment that is run in this manner.Helpful 8Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 6 - Desiree G.Temecula, CA32123Jan 10, 2023
Where to start.. have u ever tried to cancel a membership here? Dont ever sign up here. They hire the worst people. Terrible customer service. Lied about kids club hours to get us to sign up.
Outside of the terrible customer service, the gym is dirty. Like the actual machines have trash left all in them.
Worst gym in the area that is for sure. The workers are just icing on the cake!Helpful 6Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jessie L.Winchester, CA259436Jun 10, 2023Updated review
This gym is still under the same ownership and it shows. Staff is unprofessional and do not recommend joining this gym.

Your feedback is appreciated!
Aug 4, 2019Previous reviewI now have lowered my review after giving the gym time to improve but just isn't. AC is usually broken, speakers in classes don't work, clocks in classes are broken, equipment is dirty, they never have enough equipment for everyone taking a class, I have the vip membership but ppl who don't get to take the same classes I do because they don't check at the front desk, the list goes on and on... They tell you write your feedback down to help us improve but no action is taken. The gym is just so run down and no changes are being made. If I wasn't so invested in the classes and the instructors I would have left a long time ago. If your looking for a new gym this isn't a good one. Save your time and money.
May 7, 2019Previous reviewI really want to give this gym a 5 star review but it just doesn't compare to my previous gym. The child care has improved but is still very small and lacks toys that keep my kids interested. The classes are amazing and probably the only reason I stay at this gym. Yvonne and Katy are serious rockstars and have helped me lose over 100lbs in a year! Back to the gym though the bikes are very run down and a pedal has actually broken as I was riding it. Very scary and I haven't been the only one that a pedal has broken on. The class schedule is very frustrating as they change it every month and for us parents that makes it very difficult to plan ahead. Overall it's just a 2 star gym.

Were from out of town in search of a new home gym. We asked for a day pass or week pass upfront and had us fill out their form. No biggie.. understandable. But then after the walk thru we get informed our options... 60$ a week or 20$ a day. Or sign up monthly. We told them again that were in search of a home gym so we dont want to buy anything just yet. Kinda got the vibes that they didnt care for for our reasons and they pitched the lines about "were about our members and were not crowded like ufc gyms". So we left. Thanks but no thanks.

I don't live in the area and was around for work for the day. The day fee here is ridiculous!!! Monthly membership = $29.... Day fee = $20 ? Almost 70% the cost of a monthly membership for the day. And I would have cared less until the kid with an attitude tried to justify it and tell me they'd rather me have a membership
Well... I do. To 24 hour fitness. Which is what their Yelp location says this gym is!!! They are well aware of that. Kind of felt like they are taking advantage off a bigger gyms name to hustle people into memberships. Gym itself isn't bad. Small.
If it wasn't for the smart ass at the front and the hustle trying to hide behind a different gym I wouldn't mind stopping here. But I'll just find a different gym next timeHelpful 3Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
