Would NOT recommend. He came to fix our Samsung freezer that was not cooling. He charged us a diagnosis fee and then left, assuring us he would return the next day at 10 AM. We cancelled and put off plans to make sure we were available. 10 Am rolls around he would not answer my husband's calls. I called him from a different phone number and he answered sounding asleep. He told me he wasn't sure how much it would cost to get back out here - maybe $400 or $500. I told him that he should have been here and I would think in the time between he should have determined what to charge us and to show up. I just told him we would find someone else. WASTE of money. He argued that he would come back if my husband called him, yet he wouldn't answer his calls or texts. Can we put 0 stars? This was a complete waste of time and money.
UPDATE: after I posted this review he immediately began calling me and then calling and texting my husband telling us to take the review down. He continued to harass my husband with texts for about an hour. I am honestly concerned for our safety at this point. Our fridge--after twelve years--began to freeze milk, juice and even butter at the lowest temperature setting. So, I researched for the best local appliance repair and decided upon Potter's. He came out (younger chap) and diagnosed the issue: a faulty computer chip that controls and regulates the desired temp settings. In addition, he also provided suggestions for getting our filtered water up and running.

Josh came and fixed our fridge, it was not getting cold. He ordered the part and came back when he said he would. We now have a nice cold fridge. He even made sure all parts were still in good working order. We will definitely refer him to our friends!
Side note my husband accidently left his license at the local convenience store a few years ago, he could not find it anywhere. Josh was the person who brought his ID back to him- turns out he is friends with the owner of the store and offered to drop it off. What a stand up guy!

--CUSTOMERS BEWARE---- This company lied to us about pricing over the phone didn't show up for the appointment showed up several days after repeated calls. I don't know if your wife has ever had a broken washing machine when you have children but it's not good for your health. Then when the repair man who sounds nice pulls up asks for money upfront then says he has to go to the store and didn't show up for hours after. I could go on but just choose a different company to save your family the headaches......

I had personally used Josh Potter for appliance repair and recommended him to two people. The second referral used him for a dishwasher repair and they were told the charge would be $320. He charged them this amount TWICE, and when told what had happened, he said that it was because he used an old account to charge the first time and promised to remove the double charge. This was back in late June/early July and NOTHING has been done. He avoids the phone calls of the man he charged twice, and refuses to reverse the charge. The man he ripped off is an incredibly kind-hearted fireman who saves lives on a regular basis, and he is trying to save money to get married this year. What a disgusting thing to do to someone who routinely helps his community in need. Until he corrects his mistakes, we will continue to pursue him so that an innocent person will not fall victim to this carelessness.

After weeks of frustration, I found Potter's Appliance Repair and the many stellar reviews it received. Unfortunately, a major part was busted and we had to get it replaced. A couple of weeks later, another part (unrelated to our repair) broke and Josh fixed it for next to nothing as he remembered what we'd recently gone through. What a sweetheart! Please do yourself a favor and always go to Potter's whenever you have appliance trouble. You won't find a nicer or more competent repairman.

My dryer stopped heating up a few days ago and I searched around on yelp to find someone to take care of it. I might be a little bias because my last name is also potter, but Josh has excellent customer service. Was able to work with my schedule and come at a convenient time for me. He had all the parts he needed on him and had my dryer up and running in a little under an hour for a very reasonable price. Would recommend 10/10.

BEWARE....
About 4 weeks ago, I called Josh Potter for a water dispenser repair on a Samsung refrigerator. He sold me that he knew what he was doing and would guarantee his work for 1 year. He left day 1 with water not coming out of the dispenser correctly, but assured me if it didn't fix itself over time he would come back as part of his 1 yr warranty. No progress made on the next visit because he needed a new part and assured my wife that if he couldn't fix it he would refund our money. 2 weeks go by and now he has refuses to fix the problem and wont refund our money because this is costing him too much time and is actually turning back on his own warranty. What is the point of a warranty that you dont stand by?? I paid over $300 for him to leave me in the same situation I was in before I called.

Potter's Appliance Repair is the only company I will call for appliance repair. Josh is reliable, helpful and very fair. He is quick to respond and does high quality work. We have used him several times and he has always done a fantastic job!

Josh was suuuuuper helpful. He came out within an hour of contacting him. His fee was super affordable and he was able to advise us of what our next step should be. He was very personable and wasn't trying to get as much money as he could from us. I will most certainly be using Josh from here on out. I HIGHLY recommend using Potters appliance!
