Poki Poki Cevicheria

This is my favorite restaurant everything is tasty, the service is fantastic. I work down the street and it's one of my go to places when I'm in a pickle packing my lunch. I mostly do take out but enjoy going to this location to eat as well.

We live in the neighborhood and eat here frequently. We both feel like these are some of the best tacos in Albuquerque. Prompt service... they always come hot, right off the grill.

The ambience is a bit lacking, but more than made up for with the quality of the food, the very pleasant service, and the very reasonable prices for tacos. Poké bowls, not so much. The bowls are good, but they're no longer a good value. We ate them frequently through the pandemic when they were.

I was in town for conference and had an evening on my own. I ventured out and found Poki Poki Cevicheria, a Mexican-Hawaiian fusion featuring build your own bowls. After chatting with the staff, I opted for the Boss Bowl - a spicy bowl that has tortilla chips - yes, chips. The bowl was a healthy portion and great flavor. Since I'm not a fan of jalapeño, I opted for more edamame.

The space is large and full of tables with colorful murals.

Stopped by Poki Poki Cevicheria last Friday during a stay in ABQ and was super impressed. Poki Poki is a Mexican-Hawaiian fusion featuring build your own bowls that range from traditional poke to traditional Latin American bowls and everything in between.

You can mix and match however you want, and everything we had when we went was phenomenal. I ended up sticking the more Hawaiian route and going for a purely poke bowl with Tuna and Salmon, however, I did make the base 1/2 rice and 1/2 tortilla chips to get at least a little taste. The fish was incredibly fresh, the staff were all super friendly and helpful, and my meal was delicious. And I feel like tortilla chips should always be an option as a poke base now, they were so good.

My friend also got a slice of Oreo cheesecake which was phenomenal. The space is really cool and pretty simple with primarily indoor seating but a few nice tables outside where we sat to soak up the sun.

Also, coincidentally we came on a Friday wearing Hawaiian shirts, and that happens to be a special there??? We saved 5% which was super sweet!

I was pleasantly surprised to find decent poke in Albuquerque. I stopped in based on recommendations and I'm so glad I did. The inside has a a tiki vibe and the waitstaff was very attentive. The menu has a mix of poke and tacos and I tried both. Both were a hit! Here's what I had:
Fish taco- super yum and not greasy with tons of flavor 5 of 5 stars
Carnitas taco- very good 4 of 5 stars
Chicken taco- great flavor! 4 of 5 stars

505 Poke bowl- a little bit of a kick and a lot of flavor. They didn't go heavy on the mayo which pleases me. 4 of 5 stars!

I'll be coming back next time I'm in the 505.

Poor experience, from a service standpoint and definitely the food.
I do not recommend this establishment in the UNM area anyway.

Discovered this place when I was visiting family a little over a year ago, recently came back into town and I HAD to get the lavender milk tea before I left.
Staff is super friendly & it was quick to get my drink.
Parking is either on the street in front of the restaurant or there is a street around the corner you can find parking at.

Good food. Very busy at lunchtime but manager was awesome in accommodating our party size for a work lunch. Thank you!

Came here after church with family for dinner because we've all been craving it, but it was a little disappointing when they didn't offer the "10% off" check-in offer. The guy at the register didn't know what I was talking about and thought that "maybe" it was only for online orders when the check-in offer said to show the cashier. He also stated that they haven't been on Yelp or has had anything to do with Yelp for about a year. So that disappointed our evening. We didn't mind the cost but was hoping to use the coupon as a might as well since that was a check-in offer. They also didn't let my sister know that the wonton chips cost extra in the beginning until she got to payment. Overall, I say that service was okay. I wish they also gave a little extra rice in our large bowls. But it was still a good dinner that almost filled our tummies.

Food: Good portions, variety of toppings, and fresh
Service: They were super nice and patient as I choose what I wanted
