My lord! I just had the best pita I've ever had! I ordered I believe the vegan pita, but I added feta cheese. The pita was warm and everything tasted fresh and authentic! It filled me up and didn't leave me feeling bloated like some places! They even gave me a free piece of baklava at the end.
I was actually going to the furniture place next door and just happened to stop by. I'm glad I did. There are plenty of vegan and vegetarian options so I won't get board when I keep coming back!
The staff was super friendly and helpful!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Feb 16, 2021
Pita Kitchen has always been such a lovely restaurant to visit! It's right by my work, and close enough to walk during lunch to pick up my food. I've always enjoyed the fresh, flavorful meals; the friendly service, and the satisfying portions I receive for such affordable prices.
Right now, there's no indoor seating due to Covid19. There's no outdoor seating, either. (They are located in a strip mall and space is limited) Thankfully, you can order takeout!!
I haven't eaten at Pita Kitchen since I switched to a vegan diet. I never was aware they had a vegan menu. I found that out by accident on Yelp. I was just gonna order french fries and falafel. LOL. I'm glad I can add this restaurant to my vegan list!
I ordered today's lunch through Yelp. It was quick and easy. I walked to pick up my meal during my break. I was a few minutes early and my food was ready for me!! I was so happy! The staff greeted me in the kind, gracious manner that they always do! I missed this place!
Now onto the grub!! Today's lunch was all vegan: the Vegetarian Feast Plate, chocolate Baklava (yes to vegan dessert!!). Doesn't sound like much, but, I got full super fast!
The Vegetarian Feast Plate
Never ordered this before, but, I fell in love first bite! This plate has hummus, baba ghanouge, tabouleh, falafel, served with pita. Since my order was takeout, they carefully packed everything so nothing would get soggy! I love it! All I had to do was pack my ingredients into the pita pocket and enjoy! It was such a great mix of veggies and falafel. The taste was incredible! Everything was fresh and made with love!! Pita Kitchen has the best falafel in my opinion. I have eaten falafel at other restaurants and it wasn't the same. Whatever Pita Kitchen is doing, they do it well with their falafel!!!
Chocolate Baklava (vegan)
This sweet treat did not disappoint! It was nice and flaky, and sweet. Delicious!!
I will be looking to order the Vegetarian Feast Plate, Chocolate Baklava again. They were delicious beyond expectation. Now I know Pita Kitchen has vegan options, I will be eating from there a lot more. Thank you once again for a delicious meal with friendly service!!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jun 30, 2021Updated review
Really good middle eastern restaurant with excellent vegetarian and meat
Options. A very peaceful setting and super nice people running it. We had an appetizer combo special and supreme falafels there. We also brought home a lamb kabob sandwhich and chicken Schwarma for the kids. Come on in and support these wonderful people and help keep them in business!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Nov 11, 2015Previous reviewGood prices and excellent service and environs. Would have been 5 stars but for the pitiful pita that comes with the meal. Really plasticy.

VEGAN OPTIONS - Yes.
I had a very disappointing experience at this spot. I ordered a falafel wrap with a side of fries.
The fries were bad. Raw potato bad. They were super oily, and not drained at all. They looked hand cut, which is cool, but they also seemed to be pan fried instead of deep fried, so maybe that why they were both raw and greasy. They were inedible.
Unfortunately the falafel wrap that I ordered came with the same raw fries inside. I picked out the fries and ate the rest of the wrap, but the raw fries really ruined the experience. The lavash bread was great though, and really flavourful.
This place has great reviews, so maybe it was just a very off day when I went. But the place was empty, and I'm really shocked at how bad the food that both me and my partner received. I highly doubt I will return.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Jan 24, 2020
This little place is amazing. Lovely friendly service and fresh, delicious food!
I had the vegan lunch special and my husband had the lamb lunch special. My husband liked the falafel more than anything I think. They really were the best falafel I've ever had.
The potato soup was the star of the show. So much flavor and just so warm and comforting.
Really, really good food. We will definitely go back when we're in the area.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Just wanted to write a quick review, as we've been here numerous times -- though as our server reminded us yesterday it's been about a year since last we were there!! -- and have been 100% satisfied each time.
Great Vegan options, but also "omni" friendly, they also have a small market inside where you can buy tasty treats.
Very quiet atmosphere, and yes adhering you all of the Covid precautions. One of our favorite go-to places!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Feb 4, 2020
This place is so yummy & fresh! Consistently flavorful food, generous portions and friendly service. The falafel is the best in town and the pink garlic sauce is truly incredible. I typically get the chicken lunch special with no chicken (I know, weird) with falafel instead . I can get two meals out of my one to go order. I love that they are not stingy with their sauce if you ask for extra. My coworkers and I usually call ahead then pick it up to avoid a wait. We love this spot. Stop in, you'll love it!

With all of the great reviews and a hearty recommendation from a co-worker about Pita Kitchen Plus, I was underwhelmed by the food and service. The restaurant itself is quaint with its adorable decor and cozy booths. Our waitress was nice but the service was minimal as she didn't check in with us during our meal. Our lunch plates arrived about 20-25 minutes after ordering - much longer than I can spare during a weekday lunch. While the price was very reasonable ($10.95) for a beef plate that included a good portion of rice and hummus, a side salad of lettuce/cucumbers/tomatoes and two falafels with pita bread and garlic dipping sauce, most of it was not flavorful. Where it really fell flat was the two, small, overcooked, tasteless medallions of beef. I really wanted to like this place but it's unlikely that I'll return due the slowness in the food being served and lack of seasoning.

they changed this. It's now a market and lunch counter, new owners. Not the same. Chicken kabob pita is not the same. Previous owner and food were better. Where did you go Mr. Mohammad Khalifah? I need to know where your new spot is!

Had pretty high expectations due to the good reviews but looking back the reviews were mainly for the vegetarian options. Tried the lamb shawarma, pita kitchen special, and some baklava. The best part was the fries that came with the shawarma- looks home made, soft, and well seasoned. The lamb in the shawarma was bland and tough. The kitchen special had chicken, beef, and lamb- sadly all the meat tasted over cooked and tough. The falafel was the best tasting protein. The rice would have been nice but maybe the dressing from the salad got on it and it tasted sour. Instead of getting hummus with the pita, you get a pink house dressing which I believe is yogurt base but again tart. Mainly getting one note of sour from the food. Baklava was decent but not memorable.
