We went on Saturday October 26, 2019 and was too crowded. Lines were 30 to 45 minutes and was not worth the wait or the $35 per person fee.  Did not know there is a $10 fee for fast pass line. This place is for little kids, not for adults who been to many Halloween attractions. I will not go back. Happy yelping.

What a great treat to find such a well thought out, well run Halloween event! After the disappointment that was Great America's Haunt, we were so happy with our experience at Pirates of Emerson! The actors are in excellent character, full of energy and committed to give you a good jump! Each haunted house felt different than the next with different themes and feels. In addition to the five showcase haunted houses, there were photo opportunities and mazes and side shows. The live band was very good and it was a party feel as we walked around deciding what to do next. There were games and a fortune teller and plenty of food booths. The one thing we found missing was that there is no alcohol for sale. Other than that, Pirates of Emerson was a great experience. Parking is an additional $10 but very efficient. Our group of four went on a Thursday night at 8:00. We had fast passes but we definitely did not need them. We went right through at each house. We will for sure be back next year.

Went here for the first time and tbh it was alright. I was expecting more out of it. There were 5 haunted houses, which we went thro easily. It wasn't that scary for me as i don't get scared as much. Besides the haunted house, there was music & dancing (which tbh the music sucked). There's a few games and a small food court. There's some decor to takes pictures on or with. It costed $35 a person to get in and honestly for tht price there wasn't much to do after finishing all the haunted houses. I most likely wouldn't go again after trying it out this one time. Not really worth it. The only good haunted house was the pirates of emerson haunted house.

Although this park was scary enough to make it fun, I have some concerns. When my friends and I were trying to figure how we should split the group up (we only were there for 30 seconds) the guy running the front entrance to the "Dorm Of Doom" yelled at us even though no one there was no one else was in line, and we weren't even taking that long. Also the same thing happened at the "Hillbilly Holler" the guy thought we were taking to long and was incredibly rude to us. So with that being said I wouldn't recommend this place at all unless you like being yelled at for no reason.

Its been a few years since I've been to Pirate's, I had a child and was busy with toddler stuff. Finally my daughter is old enough to participate in some of the older Halloween activities! Yay! So, this year we tried out Pirate's and I was very pleased. We bought tickets online, save $5 per ticket, got there & had to pay $10 for parking-definitely a bummer..., but on e inside the $30 became clearly worth it. There are 5 haunted houses or 4 and a maze, along with a walkthrough in-house, lots of black light backdrops for pics, bands, performances, games -we didn't get to play & food-not included in the price. The haunted houses were good, especially Hillbilly Holler-OMG so fun/exciting, there is a clown themed one that we good, but my favorite was Mystery Mansion that is in an awesome build that looks like a mini haunted house-so cool! All in all we all felt that we got a good deal for our money, it was an e patience and nit just a haunted house visit. I definitely recommend for all kids who enjoy scares and those young at heart like me who still love Halloween frights!

I think this park is so fun! Every attraction (haunted house) is different and SCARY
The lines fluctuate, sometimes long and sometimes short. I recommend spending $10 extra per ticket for a speed pass. I love the live band and the atmosphere, very fun and scary

One of my absolute favorites. I try and to every year. It's one of the few haunted houses that can actually get a good jump out of me. The actors are scary and the designs are over the top. There are also games, music and little sideshow things to experience in between the houses.

If Pirates of Emerson was somewhat of a disappointment last year, it is a full blown disappointment in 2019.

There used to be so much more. I miss the days when they had unique gimmicks in the mazes (love the graveyard one from a few years back), corn mazes outside, and just...more in general.

Rather, this year had five mazes. Some were just lazy - one was just a bunch of shipping containers and pallets strewn about, along with an animatronic alligator that moved along a path. The titular Pirates of Emerson was still solid, but other mazes were just phoned in. There was barely any talent about either - it also felt like they didn't have as much staff as before.

Worst part is the pricing. We ended up doing the speed pass online and paid a whopping $40 per person. For something that took us an hour to do, this is what probably stung the most.

I have a theory that the rising costs of the Bay Area have something to do with it, but I hate to see things like this.

Had fun. Lines weren't long when we went. We also had fast pass so that's a bonus. Helped us skip what little lines were there. Wish it was just a little more scary.

First time coming this year and LOVED it. Very well put together, totally worth the $35. The chain link maze messed with our heads and I unfortunately ran head first into the fence at a dead-end due to the strobe lights and dry ice but it's all part of the fun. The only two cons was the Haunting, which was not scary at all, and the fact that one of the actors on the ceiling got a little too excited and whipped me in the face. I'm totally fine but be careful where you guys are swinging those whips, haha. Overall, highly recommended!

Best place to go to with friends for a fun night. All the attractions were amazing friendly and fun cast and lots of scares. Guys say the best one was Holiday the coolest was pirates and scariest was most likely psychopath. Good was good especially for it's quality not overpriced. Gotta say it was a blast for my first time here. Can't wait till next year!!!

Again I'm back here.. as a ex employee but also as a family member ... my wife grandmother that's 80 and her friend went in to the prison.. and one of the actors told them he wanted to hit that and he would RIP that up.. I get ur in a haunt and ur trying to be scary but that's to much!! Iv reached out to pirates of emerson knowing the boss and nothing ... its wrong and uncalled for and the guy still works there ....between that and all of the assaults that happen to the actors ..... I'm ashamed that they let's this go on ... it is what it is but they would have what they got if it weren't for the people that come to have a good time .. but if ur a actor there or well any one ur going going to get assaulted ... smh

I came here for a night out with the family and overall, the experience wasn't bad. I've been to Horror Nights at Universal Studios in both Florida and Los Angeles so I find myself comparing a lot of Halloween theme parks to them. I can't say I've found one better than them.

    The Good:
    - They have live music. I liked some of the Halloween themed performances.
    - They have "Speed Passes" available so you don't have to wait too long in line to get into a Haunted House/maze.
    - The Amusement Park is pretty big so there's plenty of room to roam around.
    - They allowed me to bring in my Philz hot mocha inside.

    What Could Be Better:
    - More scary surprises when you're inside the Haunted House/maze.
    - Since the Park is spacious, maybe hire some people to run amok and scare the heck out of their customers.

I'm glad I got to experience this place for Halloween. I recommend you buy your tickets online because you save $5 for the general admission. Also, keep in mind, there is a $10 fee for parking.

    **Scary attractions, scarier prices**

We have been to this haunted house attraction three times now. At this point, the rides are getting a little bit old, but it was still fun.

There are now 5 main attractions. They are pretty similar. You walk around a dark scary place and people jump out at you with knives and chain saws and axes and things like that. Even if you are ready for it is still scary. I actually fell to the ground a few times and I think I also said a bad word.  My heart has just now about recovered.

It is quite pricey. General admission is $35. But you would be wise to purchase the fast pass, which saves you a ton of time. It is $10 more. So including parking, which is $10, a couple will pay $100 for this event. We were able to get $5 off through a coupon in the local paper.

The attractions are quite crudely built, so you have to watch your step. It is very easy to stumble.

So overall, I thought this was a fun event, but $100 for about 90 minutes of scares is too pricey.

Super disappointed again this year, we arrived at 8:20 and by 8:53 we had done it all! Prices have gone up, yet mazes seem shorter. Not many staff about or atmosphere, like other years.

I drove 2 hours to get there and arrived 1.5 hours prior to their published closing time only for them to tell me they decided to close early and that they're "not going to pay their actors to stay until the published closing time just to entertain me".  This was to me and a group of about 15 other people who also had tickets already!

I'll never go back and luckily I can return my tickets for a refund.  Horrible customer service and not honoring your published business hours is ridiculous!

This attraction is no way near as good as it use to be.  We went last Sunday evening and there were many areas in the haunted houses unmanned!   The persons punching holes in your tickets acted as if they didn't want to be there.  I only saw one guy dressed up to scare but never saw him do so.  He just stood in one spot doing nothing.  We paid $40 ea with the fast pass and got a $5 scare!
