I must be spoiled.
Stopped in here on saturday to pick up lunch for my family as we wanted some noodle soups. The food itself was good, nicely sized portioned and nice flavoring but over all it was missing something.
I'm not sure what but it was missing something.
This place is small clean and if you blink you will miss it and it charges CASH only!
The soups were nicely sized and good portioned, however it wasn't the quality nor the substance of some of the Chinatown noodle houses for which i'm comparing this to.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Susan D.Philadelphia, PA216341Sep 25, 2014Updated review
FYI - this place changed to Cafe Nhan (likely new owners). More hours, including weekends, and still delivers. Will be checking it out shortly...

If you're up for a legit Vietnamese experience, where the guys asks your address 3 times, then hangs up without verifying time/price (that made me chuckle), then this is your place.
The food arrived lightning fast. The pho tasted more homemade and rustic, nothing fancy. The banh mi had some tasty char siu pork belly and they went heavy on the soy sauce - just like mom made.
I wish I could give it 3.5 stars. If you can peel yourself off the couch and head to any of the places in South Philly/Chinatown, go for it! However, since it's the only vietnamese DELIVERY around, and a pretty decent one at that, I'll be ordering from here again! - Enrique H.San Francisco, CA7614Feb 25, 2013
Pho Le has a Three Dollar Bahn Mi. It was a bit gritty but ok.

My son had a craving for hot noodle soup and this was close by. First thing when I walk in is the owner/manager smoking behind the counter where some of the food/drinks were. Gross. I asked to order Beef Pho to go..... he said it was unavailable that's weird for a Pho restaurant. I said fine the Beef Stew is fine then he goes back to reheat it. I asked if he was cash only and can he break a large bill. He said he couldn't and told me to leave my son there to go make change. I wasn't about to leave my son alone there. I offered to buy more food so he can make the change but he seemed angry and annoyed already. I said forget it cancel the order, he was really annoyed and pissed at that point. I've had delivery from here before and the same guy smoking while handling my food. For the rudeness alone, I'll never return/order from here again. There are several Vietnamese Places in South Philly that are way better than this microwaved soup place.

Food was great. Reminds me a lot of my parents' cooking back in the day. Service could have been better but I excused it.

A couple months ago I was riding by and noticed this place within quick walking distance of where I live in South Philly. I was psyched because all of the pho places are further north in Bella Vista, plus -- the best part -- they have delivery! Virtually NO vietnamese places deliver, which I don't understand. Sadly they only deliver until 5, but it was perfect for a day I was home sick and desperately wanted some hot soup. Unfortunately I was disappointed. First off, I could not understand a word the person on the other end of the phone was saying, and I wasn't sure he could understand me. I gave him my order of pho tai and spring rolls along with my address, hoping he got it. Then the phone went dead. I wasn't even sure I'd get the order at that point. Lo and behold, they showed up at my door 15 minutes later (hello, quick delivery). They gave me summer rolls, not spring. No big. Except, they were tasteless, gigantic and falling apart. The pho came with 2 thick, small, frozen pieces of beef wrapped in wax paper. In the container with the noodles and veggies there was a ton of black pepper sprinkled over everything. The broth, while flavorful, had a thick later of fat on top. Of all the pho I've ordered in my time, I've never seen this much fat in the broth. It must not have been skimmed. Overall, it wasnt terrible, but I wouldn't waste my time or money ordering from them again. Totally mediocre in a city with numerous amazing Vietnamese restaurants. Definitely a plus that they deliver, but not worth it. I'd rather eat greasy Chinese.
