2/15/20211 check-inNothing more calming than a piping, hot bowl of pho and cup of hot Vietnamese coffee to jumpstart a brisk morning. The veggies are fresh and enhance the light broth with minty flavors and crunchy textures. I was most impressed by how quickly my bowl made it to my table within minutes of ordering.
Tip: order your tai (rare steak) separately and cook the raw tai as you eat.
The staff is few in number but effective in service. They wear masks and gloves and enforce Covid-safety practices. Menus can be loaded onto and viewed on your phone. Parking available in the plaza shared with other businesses. - 60385134
6/26/2020With an over saturation of pho places in OC, it's hard to decide where to go. This place looks like a typical pho place but damn, is it good. Came here on 2 occasions, once before Covid hit and once during.
The first time I came the place was packed! Indication that they're the place to go when people are sitting outside and waiting. The second time I came to pick up to-go and they did not skimp! Usually to-go orders are smaller, but they packed it. Everything was included and they gave a fat bag of the veggies, which usually for to-go is sad and lacking. I ordered the pho bo vien and goi cuon rolls and yummm I loved the peanut sauce. You also get to choose between skinny or fat noodles for the pho!
Check this place out if you're in the area! You won't be disappointed. - 7692117
4/17/2020(Pre-quarantine review)
With so many options for Pho in the Garden Grove and Westminster area it was difficult deciding on one. Pho 45 stood out with its hefty amount of reviews on yelp. Upon arriving we were immediately seated at an open table. The place is pretty small with narrow walkways. I'm surprised it wasn't crowded for a Sunday morning.
The pho was amazing. The broth wasn't too thick or heavy. It was light but still packed with flavor. The beef was fine sliced with no fat hanging around. They give you the option between skinny or wide noodles. The ratio between noodles and meat is unlike anything I've seen before. They sure don't hold back on the meat here. The portions are huge. I ordered a large and there was no way I was finishing that in one sitting. Lastly, I didn't feel like a needed to chug a cup of water after eating it.
Service was prompt and courteous. Very casual environment with an authentic feel to it. - Daniel M.Monterey Park, CA451126
1/10/2021Quite literally my favorite go-to spot for late night pho
Really glad they were able to sort out outdoor dining in 2020
Orders are carried out quickly and efficiently - Nancy N.Paradise, NV166138502
12/30/20201 check-inBusy busy busy place but I did call and check if needed reservations for this place. Luckily no wait and we came here as quickly as we could. To be honest, I mistake this place and pho 54 (don't ask, I don't know the answer to that but lets say that I was hungry ...)
I usually would go to pho 54 but I'm glad that I called and ate at this place, pho 45.
Pho here is superb. It was amazing and enjoyable. I am coming here next time we are in Cali. I give them two thumbs up since this place is legit.
Get the big noodle, makes a whole lot different from the thinner pho noodle. More fresher i believe. We ordered the large and it was full to the very top of the bowl. The meats were very tender and so good. My husband got the dac biet/ special combinations and I got myself the rare steak and meatballs.
They have dining outdoor since the inside was small but this place is busy. With two ladies running around, taking orders both on the phone and walk ins.
Definitely coming back here. - PAUL CHIC L.La Mirada, CA7045394
2/16/2021My favorite garden Grove pho place :)
I used to go there three to four times a week haha - 1652321071
12/18/2020Fast in and fast out restaurant!
We were quickly seated and quickly served. Food came out really fast. The pho was simple but could use some more flavoring. I would like to taste the natural flavors of bone broth and dry herbs. However, to flavor it up, hoisin, sriracha and onion oil was used. The rice plate was okay. It was simply rice, grilled meat and lettuce. The fish sauce served with the rice was bland.
Overall, it was a fast in and fast out joint to get a average bowl of pho. They fast service was the best feature here. - 388144252
12/1/20201 check-inI had a serious pho craving the other day, so after browsing Yelp in order to decide which pho place to choose over others, I wanted to give this one a try as it appears to have good rating and pricing.
My bf and I got here on Sunday night, ordering to-go. They had outdoor dining (extended their storefront with using the front parking spaces as an area for some tables, area being tented), but we still felt uncomfortable dining on site, especially as we saw the tables didn't seem too spaced away from one another. We had to go past in between two tables (which I felt bad for) in order to go into the store to order. We both went for rare steak (bf got #1 large and I got #10 regular), which later turned out to be a huge mistake.
It only took about 5 minutes to get our order, and we brought it into the car to eat inside. They packaged the raw steak (cold) separately in a bag, soup nice and hot separate, and tripe, tendon, noodles in a bowl. They provided ample amounts of veggies, which was nice. But....the raw meat. I thought the soup was hot enough to cook it, but the meat remained mostly raw :( and the soup cooled down quickly. Overall, a disappointing bowl of pho. Highly do not recommend getting rare steak to-go if you're planning to eat it not at home. I left more than half of it to take it back home to cook everything in a pot. - Caroline N.Garden Grove, CA20765
1/14/2021I ordered pho dac biet (they are only offering Togo so I took it home-not an issue) but I pulled hair out from my tendon. My boyfriend goes back to let them know what happened and they only give him the bowl of noodles and meat. No broth. How am I supposed to eat pho with no soup? If I had been eating there and found a hair or bug in my food, would you have just given me a bowl of noodles and raw meat with no soup? I hope not!! So he goes back AGAIN to get the broth and they charge him for it which is absolutely ridiculous. Why would you charge me again when I already paid?? I just wanted to replace my order.

1/8/2021I understand most businesses are trying to survive during a pandemic and I hate doing this but you can ONLY be so cheap. I ordered a chicken pho and correct me If I'm wrong but chicken is NOT supposed to taste like old freezer. The pho was cold and the chicken had brown spots which I'm guessing from the freezer frost not fresh and pretty gross. A waste of money. They should really take note of this especially with their competitors around them. 2 stars for the egg rolls but I couldn't inspect the inside of those so best of luck!

11/8/2020Came here for the first time and I must say the broth is so flavorful! I've been to multiple pho places and the broth was bland no flavor. This is so good! No need to do other sauces or toppings!

10/7/2020So many pho options, but Pho 45 definitely stands out. Despite COVID, my friend and I had a great experience after our hike. Pho 45 set up a little area for outdoor seating and has also started with dine in as well. The service is so quick and the food was very yummy! My number one complaint with other pho spots is that I don't get enough meat, but there was enough meat to have some with every bite. The meat was great quality and the broth was perfect. I got a regular size bowl and was so full, I couldn't breath LOL! We also got egg rolls and Vietnamese iced coffee with condensed milk. YUMMMM!
Definitely the new pho spot if I am in the Garden Grove area. - Hung V.Anaheim, CA165
2/14/2021My family go to place for pho. We like the broth and abundance of meat in the pho tai.
- Ray C.Cerritos, CA0312
12/19/2020Quick service, they made an error on my order. I ordered a pork and rice dish but it came with no pork so I ended up paying $12 for rice and veggies.
I'm all for supporting small restaurants during this time but if you can't do your job right especially when it's not busy like right now, your business deserves to be closed. Fortunately, Garden Grove is saturated with pho places so not a big deal for me. - 22261101
2/29/2020This place is the perfect spot to go for some delicious pho after a long day walking around at Disneyland.
We came at like 8p on a Tuesday night. We had to wait about 15 minutes for a table.
I got the filet mignon pho. It was flavorful and warm and soul fulfilling! The filet mignon was super tender and thinly sliced and they gave a lot of it! Don't forget to add some lime juice though!
We also got the egg rolls. Those were average but crispy and yummy with lettuce.
I'll definitely be back for some late night pho. - 834193769
1/29/2020I was in the area with my family and we wanted to try pho in garden grove and we found this spot on yelp with great reviews.
I had the combination bowl. The broth was delicious and full of flavor. My brother got the
grilled pork vermicelli bowl and he loved it. Also the egg rolls are very tasty.
The service was very friendly, nice and fast. Very clean and busy. - 110165313
8/31/2020Nice outdoor patio seating with shade from the sun. Friendly fast service & a polite staff
- Brad R.Garden Grove, CA111
1/19/2021Don't come here for TOGO due to covid lockdown. They give very little broth and my noodles and meat don't even cover the meal. They only gave us 1 bag of green onions and cilantro. Go get Togo at another Pho spot, they don't know how to hold up to their standards for customers for the shutdown

2/9/2020"Phee Phi Pho Bomb!" This is the go to spot for my girlfriend and I when we want affordable Pho that taste pretty damn good. This Pho establishment as plenty of options from lamb, tripe, steak, brisket, and other protein options.
My girlfriend and I love their brisket and filet medium rare it's phenomenal in the Pho. I mean the meat is always tender when we have gone, so I can't complain. Now onto the noodles it can be ordered skinny or fatter thicker noodles. I always go for the skinny noodles, but they are always brewed in the pho broth to perfection.
Now for the loss of a star I will mention that the broth they have here isn't my favorite, but it isn't the worst I've had either.. and honestly my tip is to squirt a solid ring of siracha hot sauce in it and it brings the flavor alive as well as makes it spicier.
Now another benefit here is how quick these employees work! I mean they have a kick in their step! The Pho comes to you pretty quick!
Also when you're ready to pay walk up the register and tell them what table number you were sitting at and don't forget to tip! This will continue to be our quick service, easy going, affordable, and delicious pho establishment! Carry on Pho lovers! - Lucia M.Santa Ana, CA12219
12/12/2020Loved this place pre COVID and still loving it now for take out. They provided plenty veggies in the bag. They do pack the noodles & meat separately for you to put in the soup yourself so try not to be disappointed if your soup cools down by the time you're ready to eat it and you end up with some raw meat in your pho.
I had a feeling this would happen as it's a bit of a drive to my house (where I was planning on eating it), so I just put it in a pot once home to warm up and cook all together.
Still delicious and worth the added step during dine in closures. Egg rolls are yummy
