Cute pet store that has a lot of toys for dogs and other types of supplies too (leashes, bowls, ect). They also seem to have a good selection for cats. This store makes and sells their own dog food, there are a few different flavors to choose from. They sell pretty high quality (can be pricy) toys and I appreciate their selection.

We love this store so much. The staff are top notch!! They have helped us with our cat when she stopped drinking water. Turns out the tap water here is not the same as nyc and she didn't like it and actually now prefers a ceramic bowl. They also were so patient to help us find food that she will eat and I am soooo happy to say that we finally found a dry food that she not only eats, but she loves!! We've also gotten a bunch of dog toys and dried animal sticks/patties/jerky from them. I feel so good about feeding my pets this food. For reference: my cat was a feral street cat who was a true scavenger and only liked friskies bodega wet food. The fact that they make their own food and let you buy it by the pound helped us to find the right food for her without generating a ton of waste. Also, for whatever reason, she loves their handmade vegetable toys and is more playful than ever. It makes me so happy as a pet parent to see this!

My husband first went into the store a few months ago when we ran out of dry food for our kitty. He came home with the healthy food they sell in bulk, and our picky guy gobbled it up. Since then, we've been buying his food and treats here (they also have a great selection of wet food, including our favorite - bff). The store is set up so nicely & the gentlemen who run it are so friendly and helpful! Glad to support an awesome local business.

We love Pet Wants! Penny and Lolly are always greeted with beef jerky and lots of cuddles while I am purchasing their kibble. I always pick up some bully sticks and pill pockets as well. The fresh jerky is a favorite of the dogs in this house. Johnathon and Jack are kind, compassionate and caring and always attentive. It should be noted that buying your pet's food here is great if you are trying to be a zero-waste household. Pet Wants is a terrific addition to South Orange!

i bought some cute cat toys from here! handmade too! they also have a great selection of dog treats i want to consider in the future. huge store and informative staff :)

With the cost of raising a pet seeming always to be on the rise - its very nice to have a place where you get what you pay for. I'm a huge fan of local businesses where you can have a personal relationship with the staff - and that is exactly what you get when you come here. My airedale hasn't met a treat or food that she didn't love - in fact its hard to get her out of the shop when she gets a sniff of some of the many varieties of goodies that they offer. (I've had to cave and let her have one in store on more than one occasion.) The only knock I can imagine against these guys is cost - but trust me when I say its worth it. Knowledgable, caring owners who offer personalized service, high quality food and ingredients, and just an overall good vibe make this place a positive addition to South Orange for sure.

Best dog food ever. My three dogs look better than ever and my Yorkie has even stopped scratching as much as he used to, his skin even looks better. Jack and John know their stuff and you can tell they really care about your pets. I lost a golden to liver disease caused by another dog food that is constantly advertised on TV so I've learned to be picky when it comes to feeding them. So glad I found Pet Wants.

I can't believe they don't have any reviews yet! I was inclined to visit this shop because of the high reviews I saw on social media. I went to Pet Wants for the first time today and was so blown away. From the outside it looks small, but it's a large, clean, spacious area with so much stuff! Not only is the physical space wonderful, but the staff themselves are so kind and welcoming. They even offered to close their doors so my little bull terrier could roam free off his leash! They gave him a snack and let him walk around while I was shown the different items they had for sale. I was expecting prices to be really high as the quality of their goods are high, but everything is super affordable and reasonable--they even provided a free sample of their dog food! I seriously don't think I'm ever going back to PetsMart now. What a wonderful local shop with so many great goodies that my puppy enjoys. If you have a pet, I strongly recommend paying them a visit :)
