I received a VERY short-sighted attempt at marketing from Pet Vet in my inbox. They only had my contact info because I reached out to them when looking for the best options in putting down my sweet, sweet cat with very advanced renal failure. Their mobile service had a waiting list several days long and thankfully I did not use them.
You do not personalize a message with a family member, pet, etc. name in this manner. You do not add me to your mailing list when you know my pet was dying.
The email came with the subject line "Is [cat's name] trying to tell you something?" and the statement "We know you agree that home is where the pets are. Let's be sure [cat's name] stays healthy longer." CAT CANT BE HRALTHY IF HE IS DEAD.
What a cold-hearted and awful attempt at earning business. Go back to Marketing 101 but more importantly learn some tact, which you should have in a profession that sees many sad people with sick animals.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chris S.Huntley, IL607818Apr 19, 2024
We trust the vets at this clinic to provide high quality care for our English Bulldogs and our 16 year old Siberian cat. Bulldogs can have a variety of health issues but the Dr S has kept our babies healthy and happy. Dr Deb comes to our house to take care of our cat because he can no longer tolerate car rides (hyperventilates). They are understanding and compassionate doctors.

They were very compassionate when I had to put my beloved cat down of over 20 years. They sent me a lovely note with her paw print on it and it really meant a lot to me. They have worked on payment plans with me when I needed it. My one and only thing is the expense... but, I'm finding vet costs, in general, are becoming pretty exorbitantly high everywhere.

Dr. Deb is the best! When my mom and I had our dog ((1997-2010)) and the vet we were using passed away, we were happy to find a vet in Huntley that wasn't too far from our house ((about 5 minutes or less)) and Dr. Deb and her staff were our go-to until our dog passed away. They were always so nice to us and happy to see us whenever we'd come in. They took such great care of our dog and even showed us how to take care of him after he had ACL surgery on both legs. After we had to take shelter in our basement due to a certain warning ((not going to jinx anything)), Dr. Deb came over with one of her staff members to help us get our dog out of the basement since he couldn't do stairs very well when he got older. She even came out to my grandparents' house in Carpentersville one Sunday when something wasn't right with out dog and rushed him to the 24 hour emergency vet in Crystal Lake. When our dog passed away, Dr. Deb and her team signed a sympathy card for us and sent it to us. Whenever we see Dr. Deb, she always asks us when we're going to get a dog or cat. But, whenever that time comes, we know we'll be heading back to see Dr. Deb and her team because we know they'll be taking great care of our pet!

I've taken my sick dog her multiple times and they have done nothing to help her and I've spend easily over a grand to get her treated and she's still extremely ill. They did a check up on her and said she's "completely healthy" when she's lost over 6 pounds and obviously sick. I would NOT recommend this vet.

I called here last week because my cat was matted and was told the girl who grooms the cats was out of town at a meeting-when

Staff change = new direction for previously stabilized cat. This led to both becoming extremely ill after prescription food. One ended up constipated, needing X-rays + meds. $300 later for something brought on by their misguidance & they want me to pick up even more meds since he hasn't recovered. I cannot even begin to express how hurtful it is to see the pet struggle or how gross my typically very clean house has become. The disgusting clean up jobs continues.
Looks like we will now have to take the dehydrated & sickly cat to the emergency vet after all of the expense for the x-rays & enema they gave him Thursday. The cat is still suffering & their misguidance has cost more & more time & money.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Jenaro C.Hampshire, IL08Jan 10, 2019
The loss of a pet is something devastating and during those moments it is important to have a medical professional that understands. Dr. Deb and her staff were great during a very difficult time for our family. They handled everything with care and kindness and will be forever grateful.

I normally at not one to post reviews on places being that if something bad happens I just figure the people are having a off day. But after what happens to me here I have no problem sharing.
I took my dog to pet vet on April 27th for his lepto and Lyme vaccines. It was disused that day that since he is normally in a lot of pain that we would do his lepto that day and come back in two weeks for his Lyme.
Two weeks have passed and it is time to take him for the Lyme, my boyfriend was the one to bring him this time since I had to work. I looked at the bill and knew right away something was wrong. I noticed that they gave my dog the lepto shot again after he had just received it on the 27.
after I called and asked why this happened they came to the conclusion that the note left in the system was confusing so it was bad on their part.
I felt like the apology felt insincere. And instead of leaving it as a we are sorry for the mishap the vet decided to say " I know this is prob not the best time but we should of sent home an estimate for teeth cleaning"
uh yeah this is deff not the right time or the right place to be trying to talk me about this when you guys just messed up.
I do not recommend this place any longer Because something like this should not be have overlooked and should of never even happened in the first place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0
