Really good staff trying their best to get people served efficiently when there's a queue by having you tell them ahead what you'd like during the time you're in the queue. I had a special order and they came through with patience and kindness till you're satisfied. Will return here more frequently when in the area! Easy to spot location next to the chef chu's Chinese restaurant.

The best thing about Peet's is that they will brew a new batch of coffee if you ask them to. And that's where they shine--the espresso-based drinks, not so much. The baked goods are also quite good. My favorite is the Cream Scone. It's very habit-forming.
3 1/2 stars. Free WiFi.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 4Oh no 0Business owner information

Don't come to this location if you have somewhere to be.
Management needs to step up their game. Staff minding the coffee service care more about chatting amongst themselves than providing efficient service. 4 people in-line and 15 mins later I get my coffee.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Vislor T.Los Angeles, CA036Jul 17, 2019
Clean, good location, the coffee tastes fine. A little noisy but not excessively. There is no WiFi however which is quite problematic.
I wish there had been a sign in the window warning me about the lack of WiFi so I could've gone elsewhere.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - William X.Palo Alto, CA02212Dec 26, 2018
This is a Peet's . If you're expecting a transcendental experience, sorry, skip to boardwalk. Otherwise it's very average. That's not exactly a bad thing. The ambience is nice, lot of light. Sucks for the fact that it's having the road- not very pretty. The place smells very coffee like and nice. The price is alright too. Much rather prefer this to teaspoon, just across the road. It's much more expansive and spacious. The drinks are standard fare, I'm not a coffee person so take a tea or hot chocolate. I wish they had more non coffee options.

I am not a coffee person, but Sweetie is, so I end up in some coffee shops. Neither of us likes Starbucks but sometimes it is the only option. We noticed this place near our hotel during our SF trip, and when we needed some caffeine in the morning I ran over here. The staff were probably amused by the non-coffee-expert, half-awake guy, but they were very friendly and helpful. I got a "black tie" for me- iced black coffee with condensed milk. Just enough caffeine and sugar to start me up. I got Sweetie her usual upside down caramel macchiato. There aren't many sweet drinks on the menu, so I was glad to see that. There is a large selection of beans to choose from, which I'm sure is helpful to serious coffee drinkers.
I also grabbed a strawberry rhubarb pastry which was great, and a cinnamon roll that she liked.
The place was clean, the wait was short, the prices were reasonable, and the service was great.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

I was so disgusted after using the restroom that getting coffee here was unimaginable. Usually like Peet's but had to leave the premises because it was so unkempt. What dies this say about the chain?

Yelp check-in yielded a $1 off deal for any pumpkin beverage, hot or iced, why not try it at Peet's? It's refreshing to change gears ones in awhile from your usual drink and try something new. I actually liked it better than Starbucks's PSL, to be honest.

I'm a Starbucks coffee snub. There, I said it. I roll at eyes to those who take their sweet ass time to order something at Starbuck cuz it's their first or second time there, especially when I'm in a hurry. I walk in and I know exactly what I want and get it and leave.
During the day, however, it's a bit of walk to one in Castro street. So, here stood Peet's coffee, just a few mins from my work.
I'm like this place is nice, people are nice, cappuccino nice, what not to like?
I even got my Peet's card and treated my co-workers.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rebecca D.Sequim, WA3031945Nov 10, 2018
I used to live in the area, and now I live where there is no Peet's! I am back in the area for a visit and my husband and I popped in. Wow.
He ordered a gingerbread latte. Cue blank stare from the barista. Ok, we've been gone a long time, maybe it's not available anymore? She asks the other barista, who responds that they have a gingerbread syrup...okay..crickets..first barista chirps , "we have a gingerbread pastry, is that what you want?"...Husband says, nevermind, I'll have a peppermint mocha.. gets rung up for a peppermint latte. He points out he wants a peppermint mocha.. head bob, "oh I know!"...he gets his drink...it's a latte..
While we were waiting, another customer ordered a vanilla latte with an extra shot.. gets rung up for two SEPARATE drinks..they show up on the bar.. latte in one cup, espresso in another. I sensed he understood it was a futile task in getting it corrected, so he just poured some of the espresso into the latte and threw the rest away.
Really disappointing.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - 1318222336Oct 17, 2014
Another day, another Peet's.
My buddy and I were over at IKEA and then, a skate park, etc. etc., and on the way to Sunnyvale, this Peet's came into view.
The previous chilly day or so, I'd had a White Chocolate Mocha, which was incredibly good, and reminded me of another SF Bay Area company's product. It was so good, that I looked for it straightaway at this location.
My buddy was interested after I talked about it, and we got two, but as Freddos--the frozen, blended (frappé) drinks. Somewhere in the transformation from hot to frozen, it turned brown, instead of a white/beige.
It was good, but it didn't really remind me of the hot drink. The employees were very friendly, and helpful. I probably should have asked why the change of color and such, but I liked the drink enough that it wasn't that important.
Parking was at a premium. On the side of the building, there were signs that said only 20 minutes parking was allowed. The employees had never seen anyone ticketed for parking too long there. Being that it was beside a very busy Chinese restaurant, there wasn't much else parking to be had.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0Business owner information

Thanks for sharing your experience with us, Nobuyuki. We use "Freddo-strength" coffee to make our Freddos which is essentially like double-strength brewed coffee. That way, you can enjoy a coffee-forward frozen beverage! You're always welcome to email me at CS@peets.com with any additional questions. Thanks again for the review. Best, Kristina
