Been coming here for at least 25 years for ice cream every summer. It's an absolute staple for our family and holds so many amazing memories. The ice cream is great obviously, but the charm is what keeps us coming back. I can't speak for the food because I can't remember ever trying it, but the ice cream is a must.

Wow, what a great place in a great location. We were going to drive the boat over but it was a very choppy day so we drove to get some lunch. We ordered a small pizza and got half moose and the other half party and it was amazing!! I also got a panini and It was delicious. The wait was a bit long but it is because it is all made while you wait. I would likely call ahead next time. After we were done we got ice cream for the kids and got the child's size cones, which was a huge portion! All the people who worked there were very friendly. I would highly recommend this place and will 100% be back.

Stopped for ice cream after dinner one night - friendly service and lots of delicious ice cream flavors, including Maine Deer Tracks and S'mores. Roadside stand with a few picnic tables. Go for the regular w/ 2 scoops!

Maine Deer Tracks - espresso ice cream w/ toffee crunch and fudge. Very good...should have gotten 2 scoops.
Strawberry lemonade sorbet (already licked). The only non-dairy option, but it was great (according to my son).

Disappointed with the Classic hoagie...quality has declined since Ramona and Joanne owned the shop. Sandwiches are smaller and have a meager amount of vegetables. Bread was dry and fell apart. No consistency. Pathetic!
Like to support local businesses so will be going to the competition down the street in the future.

Classic hoagie with a pinch of lettuce.

Just happened to stop in here late one night for a late night snack. They claim to have Philadelphia Hoagies (not really) I got a half size with turkey and cheese. The turkey was salty and the bread a
Little stale. I'm from Philadelphia (here on vacation) this was totally a poor example of a Philly style hoagie. Be that as it may I still have 4 stars because the ice cream was awesome. I can honestly say the BEST I've ever had , and I'm in my 50's. Definitely Go get the Maple Walnut or the probably anything ice cream at this spot. You will not be disappointed!!!

Ok the good---ice cream was nice. Blueberry crumble and fisherman's fudge (or something like that.) Very good and we'll priced for the area. So the so so. Wanted dinner before checked out casco varity. Similer food but no fries/onion rings. So went back to Pears. Prices for same items higher at Pears. Got p hilly style cheesesteak. Ok but meat too thick and no velvets as a true p hilly steak
C+. Meatball sub...bread not toasted. Chesse just laid on top not melted...meatballs not homemade. C-. Fries the new style with the odd coating what happened to good old crinkle cut? D. Onion rings---fair and overcoo k ed. C. So go for the ice cream pass on tgevfood.
