Q:
Need to get ahold of the owner for a catering opportunity. I've called for months now (before coronavirus) and emailed 6x with no response. Huge fan of PDX Sliders. How can I get in touch?
A:
They are open for to go orders. Call ahead at 971-717-5271. Maybe if you call that number they can point you in the right direction?

PDX Sliders Sellwood location is my families go to place when we want amazing burgers. I feel we need more of them around the metro area, please choose Oregon City lol. Their meat is tasty, juicy and always taste fresh. It's one of my original burger places I go to since I moved here back in 2019. I frequent either division or Sellwood location once a month, sometimes twice a month, especially when I want to take somebody new to have a great burger. While they do have full size burgers, I ALWAYS recommend getting the slider so you can try different ones. I've been there so much I always get the same ones at this point.
We got the monthly special, all sliders, Nashville hot chicken Sammie. A breaded chicken tender DOSED in what seemed like Franks Red Hot Sauce topped with pickles and purple slaw! It's delicious and perfectly crunchy. Next we got the Burlington, a pulled pork sammie, my mom got that one not my choice. I also got the Hawthorne, this has bacon goat cheese and jam on it. It blends extremely well together (sweet and salty) and recommend you try it before you dog it haha. Last is my favorite one, the steel. It a double patty with bacon and cheese slider. It's a MEAT burger and filling. I normally get 3 and no fries and it fills me up. They also have drinks and the division location has a bar with beers on tap.
Parking isn't bad, it's street parking so just find a spot and stroll over there. The street can be BUSY so be careful. ENJOY!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Mar 1, 2021Previous reviewPDX Sliders has been one of my best food finds in the Metro Area. They're flavorful, delicious, and the perfect portion. I got 3 sliders and the Truffle fries. The do sliders and full size burgers. I recommend the sliders so that you can try more of their yummy sliders.

THIS is NOT a food truck
It is located in an old house on Bybee
We sat outside in the side yard when we were there
The food was terrific but your decision to assign it
food truck status, and there is nothing wrong with food trucks,
is ridiculousHelpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Feb 19, 20241 check-in
Great little slider/sandwich place. The inside seating is small but they cram about 5 tables and there is plenty of outside seating. Parking can be a challenge as it's in Sellwood and it's all street parking.
They sell a few beers on tap and several cheapie beers in tall boys, and they have some canned cocktails, and canned sodas.
Lots of variety on the menu and staff is super friendly. I got the full size Nashville hit chicken sandwich and it is massive. I didn't realize that when I ordered. I needed a fork because it was so big that I started to cut it down to manageable portions. The utensils are not readily available and I had to ask the cashier to get one for me.
It is self-busing tables but they do bring the food out to you.
I was charged more than the advertised price and asked the cashier who pointed to some tiny print on the bottom of the menu that says they charge a 10% living wage. They also said you didn't have to tip but I wasn't reading the menu and missed that so I guess I gave them extra tip. I don't have a problem paying the service charge for a living wage, but they should have a clearly printed sign when you order and pay for the food. If they don't want to have a sign they should tell you when you order. I've been to other places where they charge this fee and they make it clear. Hiding it at the bottom of their menu means I need to read every little thing.
Food was amazing and delicious and big portions for the full size. I saw the sliders and they are bigger than normal sliders. The sandwiches do not come with any sides. I could not finish my sandwich. Next time I'll order the slider size.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Dec 31, 2023

Found this spot while looking for burger spots in Portland via Yelp.
I got a takeout order of the sellwood burger ($13) and Philly loaded cheese fries ($16). The burger was a bit more expensive than I expected but it was definitely worth it in terms of flavor and taste. The loaded Philly fries can best be described as good and plenty which is well worth the price tag.
PDX sliders was a good experience that I would happily return to and would definitely recommend others to try it for themselves (if they want some good food).Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Aug 8, 2023
We heard a lot about burgers in Portland! not satisfying at all!
I picked this place for our 1st meal after airport in Portland and super disappointed!
Service was average and the burger was so burnt and greasy! The after taste was aweful!
I would say any fast food place like McDonald's would be better choice compare to them.
Even the IPA tasted bad. :(Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jan 11, 2024Updated review
Sometimes a hot mess can be a very good thing, like the loaded Tilikum below. It's a large Tilikum fried chicken sandwich with fries instead of a bun, for just a dollar more. Moistened with the spicy barbecue sauce, the ranch and the slaw. Or for smaller appetites, you can have a small sandwich--I particularly like the Marquam (yes, most of the sandwiches are named after local bridges) reuben and the Steel, double cheese-burger--and split an order of fries. Quick service. Cute older house with a lot of outdoor space too.
Helpful 1Thanks 1Love this 0Oh no 0Nov 22, 2022Previous reviewanother fine lunch at this place not far from home. they were busy but the food came pretty quickly. tillikum (all sandwiches named after bridges) chicken my favorite, with spice in the breading & bbq sauce, some slaw for crunch. hadn't had the Steel double cheese burger before, greasy (& that's a good thing), burgers nicely charred, gooey cheese flow.
Jun 3, 2021Previous reviewWhile I have some friends who've figured out what they like and keep ordering it. Not me. Why not have two tasty, smaller sandwiches instead of one? Hence, PDX Sliders. I had the fried chicken (!!!) and the sort of pulled pork, plus fries. Great frites here, thin and genuine. Abby had a Philly style sandwich and a beautiful looking--she said the dressing was great--Casear salad. Friendly service, we had a nice indoor nook but plenty of outside room. The pork was a bit dry in places, and, like anywhere, price could be a little lower but the ingredients are high quality, the flavor combinations well developed.
Feb 10, 2017Previous reviewGlad to have them in the neighborhood, not that i get here often just not that far away. Had some doubts about the value, but don't know. Had 2 sliders (fremont (beef) & Tillicum (chicken. very tasty and very filling. the fries are definitely a valye, thin, crispy w/ truffle salt.
Quick service, many windowed former house. - Dec 30, 2023
At the time of this writing, this restaurant has over 1.1k reviews and 4.6 stars. It delivered that expectation. Every slider was delicious. The fries are narrow and crispy and the touch of truffle.
My only note-to-next-time is that, while a full-size burger is more than twice as large as a slider, the slider ratio of protein to everything else was better.

Haven't come in a while because of a few bad experiences in a row. Today was as good as I've ever had here and why I've said best burger place in Portland.
Great job. So good.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Aug 21, 2022Previous reviewHaving to drop my 5 star rating after consecutive bad experiences for the first time in their history.
Understand this is the place we take out of town guests for burgers and also come here for special burger occasions. But...when I started reviewing I made a decision to be honest so here goes.
Two times ago we came late afternoon- they were not busy- we ordered and got seats easily. The food came quickly - good- but I took a bite of my steel slider and it was burnt. Not charred- but acidic black char burned. No worries as nobody is perfect. Them I took a bite of the Nashville Hot Chicken. Cold. I don't know how this is possible. Not lukewarm- cold. Disgusting. 2 bites was all I could muster. I finished my wife's steel slider, slightly better than mine but still overcooked.
The fries were still good thank God.
Everyone has an off day- fast forward to last week. I knew they would be busy- I was prepared to wait a bit. We decided to call our order in as we driving in from Hillsboro to Sellwood. We figured if it was crazy busy we could eat in the car or take it with us- if not to busy we could just eat there. The girl on the phone said 35-40 minutes which was fine as we were still close to the zoo.
We get there and they are busy, it's about 25 minutes after we cslled - no worries. They go back and yell that we were there. All fine. We're at the 40 minute mark from our call and the people in front of me in line got there food, then the party behind me got there food.
I wondered if something happened- maybe they lost the ticket? I did not raise my voice- I just asked if there was a problem?
She responded that they were busy and they would let me know when it was ready. So we waited. At the 1 hour mark I walked back up because there was a to go order sitting on the counter that they had not yelled a name out for. I looked and saw a different name on it- and the girl at the register snapped at me and said "I told you I would yell your name when it's ready." Turned went to the back where I heard my name yelled. She came back and said loud enough for me to hear "it's no wonder no one wants to work in customer service." Once again I did not raise my voice or argue with them.
At this point a manager/owner possibly- someone I recognized came out. I made eye contact with him and he came over. I told him the story he went back and checked and said they were working on it, and they had gotten in the weeds. So we finally got our food an hour and ten minutes after ordering.
He was very nice and apologized and gave me a gift card with his initials on it for our next meal. Very nice. But this story is not over.
I pulled out my steel slider which is why we came in. Took one bite and literally almost gagged- burnt worse than the last time- and almost no cheese and no aoli on it. Bun burnt- meat burnt- no sauce. Really disappointing. No I didn't go complain or let them know as I was already on their bad list. My wife confirmed hers was as bad as mine. Literally waited forever for a terrible burger and get told you are a bad customer- even though I have driven a ton of business their way.
My Freemont burger was mildly better but still overcooked.
Worst experience ever here. Very disappointing and it pains me to write this. We have that gift card and I hope that the next time matches the previous year's of enjoyment. I'm hopeful I will be able to put five stars up again.Mar 13, 2021Previous reviewSo good- best burgers in pdx. Love the steel, Freemont, Hawthorne, the Sellwood.
Their specials are amazing too. Just tried the Nashville Hot Chicken. Omg!
So good!Aug 5, 2019Previous reviewDidn't realize I hadn't left a review here! I guess I was to busy putting pics on Instagram and telling all my friends that this is a top burger place in PDX.
True story- i coached a high school varsity basketball team who had a bad loss in Milwaukie. We were all ticked off after the game, so i decided to take the players who were riding back on the bus here just to shake it off. Not only did our night get substantially better, one of the players came back 30 times over the next 4 months. Yes you read that correctly! He brought family, friends and anyone who would listen here. That's how good they are.
My personal favorite is the Steel. I used to try all sorts of different ones, but liked the Steel so much i just started getting a big one. The Hawthorne is great too, and really so many others, i just think the Steel is the bomb.
The pulled pork here is amazing. The different types of fries are all great. Just an awesome burger place. - Aria F.Aiea, HI01017Jan 25, 2024
This place is where my friend chose to take me upon my arrival to Portland in over 6 years...
To say the least, my friend chose well.
To say more: As a self-proclaimed expert food sampler... I enjoy bite-sized versions of delicious food...
These sliders + these saucy fries = yes.
The food, service and ambiance make PDX Sliders worth the visit!Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - May 29, 2023Updated review
Another great experience at PDX Sliders! Staff is always friendly, helpful, and accommodating. They have a nice variety of seating, indoor and outdoor, covered and not covered. There is plenty of room for many people. There's only street parking available.
The food is fresh and delicious! You order your food, take the number placard, and find a table. You also bus your own table, which I don't mind at all. They have various bussing stations and water dispensers set up all over the various seating areas, which is super convenient.
Our burgers were cooked perfectly and had wonderful flavors. My husband loved the jam and goat cheese on his, and mine was so good with the aged Beechers cheese and butter lettuce. We totally wanted to order more, but we knew we'd be stuffed, so we refrained and prevented the agony later. The truffle fries with parsley were super yummy, too! The two sliders and fries were perfect for the two of us.
We'll definitely be back! Highly recommend!Helpful 7Thanks 0Love this 6Oh no 0Aug 27, 2018Previous reviewLove this location! The outdoor eating area is great, weather permitting. The inside has a few rooms to sit in. Really appreciate this older house converted restaurant. The inside even smells like an old house ;-)
You order your food at the counter inside, pay, then they give you a number to place on your table so they know who to bring the food to. You're asked to bus your own table, which I don't mind since they have a cart with tubs conveniently located on the outdoor patio.
We ordered the buttermilk fried chicken slider with creamy slaw and pickles (special order), the pulled pork slider and the PDX fries. The buttermilk fried chicken slider was delicious! The pork slider was pretty good too, but not as good as the chicken. Probably just preference on the pork rub seasonings. The pork was cooked perfectly, nice and tender and juicy.
My only suggestion is to have the yellow jacket traps moved from the outdoor patio seating area to the back side of the building. We had a few bothering us while eating outside.
