Amazing food and great place for lunch! We stopped because we needed something for lunch and it turned out to be an amazing restaurant.

Please try the fries those were definitely my highlight because of the crunch but extra spices!!

Service was great and ambiance is chill and a great hangout spot!

I can highly recommend this place!

Companion was in charge of choosing our lunch spot and picked Paseo based on their rave reviews and options. He and I were adequately hungry and excited to try their Caribbean food and flavors!

The restaurant is colorful, casual, and cute. A few small tables inside plus some outside. Diners can eat in or take out--we did the former. We found service to be swift but not special. Place your order at the counter, wait for your name, and enjoy your food. Due to popularity, lines and wait times can vary (you can order online too).

We went for what they got awards for, a Famous Caribbean Roast Sandwich. The sandwich is messy and juicy! If you don't eat it fast the bread gets soggy but the tender pork is packed to the brim and flavorful from the marinade. I couldn't taste much of the jalapeños, onions, or cilantro since the pork was overpowering. We also had the Cod Caribbean Plato, which provided a nice variety. The cod was mild, the black beans were surprisingly sweet, and the salad came with no dressing. It filled us up and we're glad we shared. For the prices, the portions are generous.

Those visiting or living in Seattle have probably heard of Paseo. They have a few locations, the one in Fremont is quaint and the sandwiches are quite good. Find them off Fremont Ave N. with parking in the area.

I came here to try the famous Carribean Roast Pork sandwich. It's a pretty good sandwich, but a far cry from the best sandwich in the America. I personally would give that title to the #19 at Langer's in Los Angeles.

For starters, the sandwich way too messy. The meat juices get absorbed quickly by the bread resulting in a failure structural integrity. Prepare to use a lot of napkins. Also, is it possible for a sandwich to have too much meat? You get a lot of it but the only a tiny piece of lettuce. Ratio seems off. Finally, and probably my biggest complaint,
the sandwich was a too mushy (because of the aforementioned very generous amount of roast pork) and one note texturally. I could eat a half no problem but a whole just didn't seem that appetizing.

I had really high expectations for the sandwiches here after hearing about it from a friend and reading the reviews. The roasted pork was delicious. However, the bread took away from all the good stuff inside.
      - Paseo Press - the roasted pork was delicious but the bread was too thick and it was saucy causing everything to slide out. The bread also wasn't very soft so it didn't tear apart easily when taking a bite.
      - Grilled Pork - good but I preferred the roasted pork and it has the same bread issue
      - Caribbean fries - hot, crispy, and deliciously seasoned.
      - Tostones - pretty good but I couldn't eat more than 1.

The in-store menu was not working when we went so we had to order based on their website photos. It would have been helpful for newcomers like us if there was a description of each sandwich so we knew what was inside and the differences.

The neighborhood looked cute and it was easy to find. There is limited seating inside along with outdoor tables. Service was fine.

We experienced a mix bag here at Paseo, home to the infamous Famous Caribbean Roast. I have watched on the net how delicious their Caribbean Roast is from many vloggers and the like. The Fremont Ave. branch is situated in what I can think off as a quaint neighborhood in Seattle. It to a few minuities to find parking but eventually found one and off we went to Paseo.

Paseo in Seattle is nice small store with just a few tables inside. Fortunately, we descended upon the store during off-peak hours so we were able to have a seat and our late lunch inside. Undoubtedly, I ordered their Caribbean Roast sandwich. The kids had a modified Caribbean Plate: steak as protein and minimal veggies as possible.

Our order came in just a few minuities. First off, the Caribbean Roast sandwich is massive and looks very hearty. First bite: the pork is very tender and succulent. The caramelized onion compliments the pork and both impedes a sweet succulent flavor in your taste buds. The jalapenos, cilantro, and the bread itself rounds out the sandwich as a very solid one, 4 to 4.5 stars as I reckon.

Our kids and my wife's Caribbean Plato with steak though was quite a letdown. Again, the plate looks hearty with ample servings of meat. The flavor though is very bland. I can think nothing other than copious amount of salt and seasoning every time I take a sample bite of their plates. In the end the good sandwich and the bland plate cancels out to be a 3-star review.

I'm a huge sandwich girl and these sandwiches did not disappoint. It was packed with flavor and cooked to perfection! There is limited seating inside but my friends and I got a spot and hung out there for an hr! The staff is very nice as well - we had a great time!

Cool little shop with some delicious jerk chicken! That's what they're known for so I recommend that. They typically offer a few cocktails too but it was in the evening and two of the three offerings were already sold out..

I do have to say though, their customer service is lacking. The employees are just trying to go as fast as they can and didn't want to explain anything. When asked for a recommendation they just said get the jerk chicken, and that was it.

Also the shop is tiny, so don't expect to get any seats especially during lunch or dinner hours.

Paseo is definitely a place that was on my bucket list when I was in Seattle. And I'm really glad I got a chance to eat some when I was there. They're pretty much well known for their Award Winning Carribean Roast Sandwich, which is like $14, and for sure I needed to try it out.

I ordered it to go, and they were pretty much ready within like 5 minutes which was really fast. I loved the different toppings and textures that the sandwich has, and it honestly looked super satisfyingly tasty when you eat it fresh. I thought everything overall was pretty good and the pork was really tender. My only thing is that I wish the meat was seasoned a bit more and I would of felt like this would been a bigger hit for me. If I'm back, I'll definitely try the other sandwiches out from the menu. But nonetheless, it was a great sandwich overall and I would recommend you come to try this place out in the International District!

Paseo is one of the most hyped and popular restaurants in Seattle outside of Pike Place Market, so I had to see what it was all about. When I arrived on a Saturday evening, it wasn't busy and I got my order within 5 minutes to-go. I got the infamous Caribbean Roast Sandwich ($13.95). It was all neatly wrapped and stuffed inside with lots of meat and some lettuce, onions, and jalapeños for crunch and contrast. While the presentation was nice, the sandwich was just okay overall. It's filling and good, but the meat lacked flavor. I'm not too sure what the hype is all about.

It's good if you're in the area looking for a meal, but nothing I'd go out of the way for.

Heard lots of good things about this place so I knew I had to grab a bite here before I left Seattle. Cute little sandwich shop in Fremont with a decent amount of indoor and outdoor seating. I ordered the Caribbean roast sandwich and it tasted so good! The meat was so flavorful and juicy I was not expecting that at all. The sauce also was a great addition to the sandwich as well as the jalapeños. I do wish there was a bit more vegetables in there and the bread was a bit soggy but it didn't take away from how amazing the meat was. Service was quick and friendly too.
