My husband purchased me beautiful diamond earring hoops Chris sold them to him and was so sweet upon the purchase the clasp broke on one a week later and when I brought them in he was beyond rude and told me I'm too rough I need to pay to fix it ! Super unprofessional ! I'll pass on this place there after no thank you ! And compare prices before purchasing there mark up is threw the roof

I'm not sure how their diamond/jewelry service is but I would ABSOLUTELYYYYY NOT RECOMMEND(!!!) bringing in your watch here for any repairs/battery replacement.


I was charged $20 to replace a battery for a low end Tag watch. Service was quick, staff was friendly.

I come home and I see THREE(!!!) different scratches on the back of the watch. Clearly from them trying to pry open the back panel. My watch was spotless when I brought it in. Now I have the pleasure of being inconvenienced to return to their store to have them fix their mistake.

I come back and they rebuff the scratches. Unfortunately I was better off taking my loss with the scratches because their buff job is HORRENDOUS!!! What a headache. I just wanted to get a battery replaced and I come out with a fcked up watch.

I have always gone to Papas for jewelry and repairs. I went in to have batteries put into 2 watches. There were maybe 2 other customers being waited on and about 4 other people that worked there walking around or doing things on their phone. The woman who took care of me told me I would need to leave the watches. I was surprised because I never had to leave them before. She said they were very busy. I said ok and she said she would get the price for each. This took a while and then she said $15 each. I said ok and she said to follow her so she could write it up. She went to the back counter and the phone rang. She proceeded to help the person in the phone, so I asked for my watches back, and I left. It would've taken less time to replace the batteries. Also, one of the other individuals that were doing nothing could've answered the phone. The best part is that they lost a sale today. I planned on shopping for a ring and earrings while I was waiting for the batteries to be replaced.

First time purchase at this Jeweler. My son purchased an engagement ring. It was perfect we thought. After proposing, his fiancee noticed a few stones seemed loose. She returned to Papas Gold City and ring was checked by jeweler. She was told it was fine. She went to a family jeweler and was told that 2 of the stones were loose. Sad to say her family and ours will not be returning to this store.

Similar to what many others have said......The staff and selection are great which is why I gave one star. Everyone is so nice until you buy their stuff then they don't care. I brought back a bracelet to repair a link for my son. One link has come off so his bracelet wouldn't stay on. These people have been good family friends and we have shopped with them since before they had their own store. I never expected to be ripped off. When I was told it would be $50 to fix one link I refused and wanted a fair price. Here is part of my conversation with his staff, a picture of my bracelet repaired and then what was in the bag when they brought my bracelet to the car for me. ( I asked them to bring it out since my infant was sleeping in the car) not only did he break my bracelet it's missing half of it. Disgusting!!!!! I will NEVER shop here again. Trust me go to a family who will appreciate wether you spend $5 or $5k. Don't waste your time here. My family and friends won't again!

I've known Chris and had the pleasure of dealing with him and his family in purchasing items from their store for over 20 years.
Beyond never being disappointed by the beautiful quality of their merchandise, or by their extensive expertise and great service- they are most importantly great people.

I rarely buy good quality jewelry, but if I do the only place I'd ever purchase from is Papa's Gold City.

All my jewelry from my communion necklace as a child to my engagement ring as an adult are from here. They are a top notch family business. Chris and Michelle - as well as all other staff - treat every person that enters like family.

5 stars doesn't do this place justice. Every time I'm there, I don't want to leave!

My fiancée and I had such a wonderful experience here. Chris was so helpful and took his time showing us the right setting and answered all of our questions. Every single person that works at Papas is friendly and knowledgeable. We will obviously be back for wedding bands but also we found a new jeweler and will recommend them to anyone.

Chris came highly recommended to me through friends and family! I used him to buy my fiancées engagement ring and I couldn't have been any happier with the entire process and the service that was provided to me there. He helped me find the perfect ring, which my fiancée loved and I truly appreciated how he took the time to explain everything to me in fine detail. He's become my jeweler for life now and I'd highly recommend him to anyone!!
