I went though the drive thru at Panera yesterday, my plans were to pick up Panera and then to take the girls I nanny to the park to eat. first, they were out of ceaser salad dressing, second they were out of fruit cups. THIRD, they forgot the grilled cheese!!!!!!! was so upset when I opened the bag already at the park and had to travel 10 minutes back to Panera.

Food is fine and what you would expect from Panera, but the service at this location is AWFUL. The latest time I went to this location (and I vow, the LAST) I had ordered for curbside "Rapid" pick-up. After waiting for 25 minutes, and having received a text from the store that my order was ready to be picked up, I finally grabbed by baby from the back and lugged her inside to talk to a manager. Oh, I had also tried to call into the store 5 times. No answer. I talked to a manager, who tracked down my order which had apparently just been sitting somewhere. He gave me a half-hearted and half-assed apology and sent me on my way without even so much as an apology free sandwich card. Never ordering from this location again.

Always a fan of Panera! This place does not disappoint. I give it 5 stars due to excellent food preparation and cleanliness. In-spit of busy locale, the tables are clean and soft drinks properly stocked. Sometimes, the ice tea may need refilling at some Panera's. Not his place. The salads are prepared great. Ask for extra chicken should you crave an additional amount of protein.

I don't have a car so I sometimes use Order Up to get food here. On the rare occasion that I get what I ordered, it's very delicious. However, my order is usually missing something and often the sandwich I like is either lacking key ingredients or the employees didn't bother to follow my instructions when I modify it. This also happens when I can eat at the restaurant but at least then I can have it fixed.

The staff really needs to be better trained at reading instructions and double checking everything the customer paid for is given to them.

      First to Review

To be fair, I will give a brief review of both this cafe in particular and how it compares to the quality of food from other chain locations.

I actually was surprised how fast they opened this location. Was open within a week after seeing the Panera signs go up on the side of the building. My first impression was that the registers were cramped and uncomfortable. There was 4 registers within a total counter area of about 6ft. In a busy day people will be shoulder to shoulder creating a stressful environment. Staff was still learning, but very courteous.

Food came out under 10 mins. There appears to be a NEW feature with this location I have not seen before. A cubbyhole apparatus next to the food pickup counter makes me believe panera is trying to move into the order online or via mobile and pick it up when it's ready type of market. It's alphabetized by name. I will try this feature soon. There's also a LCD screen that keeps track of who's order is being prepared and who's order is ready for pickup. Might be handy during busy hours. Again, I haven't seen this at other locations as well. Seating is pretty normal. Not as cozy of a vibe as some other locations. I recommend studying/leisure at the Caribou coffee location down the street if you like comfortable environments.

Got the BBQ chicken flatbread with cheddar broccoli. Really enjoyed the food and didn't have any problems. Seems to be the same quality as any other chain location, although it was my first panera flatbread. Not rave worthy, but certainly still a very good option for tasty and healthier food within the area.

Will update breakfast experiences soon. Hope this helped! 3.5/5 stars

BBQ chicken flatbread and cheddar broccoli soup. Service was a bit slow, but this location just opened and staff was learning

As a Panera fan, it pains me to give this location only three starts. On the four times I have visited, it has been mid-morning (about 9:30-10) Each time, they have been our of souffles, there have been emplty coffee urns and no one has felt compelled to correct the coffee issue.

I love Panera and the healthier options they offer, but I have learned that I must visit much earlier in the morning to find coffee ready to drink.

This place is for old people and women. If you're a guy- don't come to Panera. Typical yuppie BS food. Unfulfilling and bland. I had a tuna and tomato basil soup. The tuna was on this ridiculously small piece of bread and no mayo. (that's in packets!) The soup wasn't as good as Campbell's CAN soup.

      Panera Delivery is a Lifesaver!

Had to write a review after the fourth time we delivered Panera to our offices... They haven't gotten an order wrong yet!

The food tastes fresh and tasty and that combined with their stellar delivery service is why they get a 5-Star rating from me!

When traveling to Iowa City for work I come to this Panera to grab something quick. I don't recommend on going on a Sunday around 6pm. Service at the counter is pretty slow and the pace was packed.

Two thumbs up to the cashiers for dealing with some difficult customers who couldn't understand how the "Pick 2" menu worked.

Every bit as good as we've come to expect from Panera, but this one has a drive-thru! Always a step up from other fast food and for some reason it seems fancier - don't know why, it just does!

Worth checking out and easy to get in and out in a hurry.
