Pampas Steakhouse has been a pleasure every visit, and this birthday celebration was no exception. Yes, it is pricey, but the service, quality, and attention to detail make it the perfect place for a special meal. The eating area is dimly lit and also perfect for romantic meals. Bring your glasses to see the menu!
Steaks are exquisite, and all sides and meals seasoned perfectly. Delicious gluten free options.
The sausage appetizer and tuna tartare started us off, with filet, lamb, lobster, ribeye and salmon complemented by asparagus and haricots verts. Finished up with a huge slice of birthday cake and creme brûlée.
Be aware that parking is limited but valet is available.Helpful 2Thanks 2Love this 1Oh no 0 - 4104535Jan 27, 2024
Very clean and great ambiance inside. Angus and Billy were are team servers and did a great job. Almost too good a little too attentive if that even makes sense. Cleaning the table as we were still enjoying things and interrupting our conversations every 5-10 min to check on us. I have never wrote a review saying to attentive but it was the vibe we got. The food was amazing. This is a very high end steakhouse and they show it with their food. The wine was good and they had a huge selection to choose from. We would return if we were in the area.

A great experience!!!
I was here for a work dinner/speaker event in August.
The accommodations - there was a private dining room that had a projector and screen for the speaker and presentation, however, it still felt like an elegant diningroom with a corner bar for service and 4 private restrooms - individual bathrooms. It seemed very exclusive and upscale. Fancier than I'm used to LOL
The staff was amazing. They were so professional, friendly but not intrusive. There were present if needed, but didn't get in the way nor distract. The only "distraction" for me, was because I was so impressed at the level of professionalism and coordination in the service. Amazing.
The tables were set neatly and uniformly, with plenty of room for the salad and bread plates, the water glasses and other beverage glasses and the information pamphlets we put out for the work portion of the evening.
The sound system was decent as well and projector and screen were decent quality for quick presentations. The staff assisting with the technology were great and prompt as well.
Now for the food. The bread was delicious. They had butter as a topping option and ALSO had pesto and a bruschetta type of tomato topping. I usually only see butter or oil. This was great. The salads were fine. Pretty standard, but very fresh ingredients and perfectly plated. The entree I chose was the salmon and it was excellent!!! Cooked as I requested, well done and still juicy with the wonderful crisp edges (not burnt). The beans were fine and the mashed potatoes were decadent. The dessert!!! OMG the dessert - cheesecake flan!!! Stop it with the deliciousness. i was full, but pushed myself to finish this dessert as I'm not sure if I'll ever be back to this area. What a treat that dessert was.
Overall I thoroughly enjoyed this location for the work dinner event. I highly recommend this restaurant/business!!!Helpful 2Thanks 0Love this 3Oh no 0 - Jun 30, 2023
If you're looking to wine and dine or be wined and dined, then look no further than Pampas Steakhouse!
Our family treated us to an incredible dinner at Pampas Steakhouse and we felt very spoiled! We ordered so many items, I don't remember them all. I do recall my dover sole entree and sides of potatoes, asparagus, and mushrooms. We brought our own red wine, and also ordered espresso martini... twice because it was very good. For dessert, we ordered bananas foster, which came with a show! The food was excellent from start to finish. My fish was cooked perfectly. No complaints. I didn't try any of the meats, so I can't speak for those.
Service was wonderful. Our aunt and uncle are regulars here and you can tell the staff values their patronage. We were all taken great care of.Helpful 8Thanks 4Love this 7Oh no 0 - 297223926Feb 12, 2023
Let's start with the not so good. I ordered the crab cakes which would have been cooked. They gave us cold crabs. It was okay. Not really good. We didn't say anything because we thought that maybe we read crab cakes wrong but after going through the menu today I realize that they brought us the wrong item. That's disappointing they messed that up.
The good. I would like to highlight the service. Malisa and Lisa served us. They were excellent. Especially Malisa whom serviced us alot towards the end of our dinner. The ambience is very nice and they had live music.
The food was good. I had a lamb chops and my husband had a steak. We ordered wine and we had a cake for dessert. Overall a good experience.
Plenty of parking. Be prepared to spend some money here. For two people we spent about $300.00 with tip.Helpful 17Thanks 4Love this 16Oh no 2Business owner information

After coming here to celebrate special occasions for nearly twenty years, I'm done with Pampas. We've had our ups and downs over the years, but last night was the last straw.
A group of six of us went to our favorite local steakhouse to celebrate my mother's life; we'd been there with her several times and always brought our own wine. Apparently, a recent change in corporate policy has disallowed the opening of large format bottles unless they're purchased from the restaurant. Apparently, the two bottles of wine you're allowed to bring to dinner can't be in one container; it actually has to be two separate bottles. After arguing with the GM that we'd brought our own magnums previously, and discovering that none of the managers I used to know were still employed there, I gave up. Honestly, it's my fault for not reading the attachment their wine director sent prior to us arriving, but the net result ruined the mood, and our meal. Still doesn't make any sense to limit the container size; I would have paid a higher price to open it.
After sifting through their wine list, we finally found a decent bottle at a reasonable price that wasn't out of stock. This took several trips to the bar; we seriously almost left. At this point, we've been seated for 45 minutes and they still hadn't taken our order. They finally brought out soup and appetizers, but no salads. When the salads arrived, they weren't right. When my medium steak arrived, it was rare. Everything they did last night had something wrong with it, including starting off on the wrong foot with the wine policy. Wait; they did bring us a free dessert tray, which we consumed and I thanked them for. But, it was too little, too late.
There are plenty of other restaurants where I can get $100 steaks that don't care what format my wine comes in.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 1Business owner information

Hello, we wanted to apologize for your recent experience with us. What you experienced is not acceptable and we are working to correct it ASAP. We will be sure to discuss this topic with our management team.
Jul 22, 2017Previous reviewWe have returned here multiple times a since my bad experience three years ago.
At this point, it's my favorite steakhouse anywhere nearby. I can't say enough good things about the food, service and overall experiences we've had recently at Pampas. Such a great place for a steak!
If you're not currently on your way to Pampas, turn around and change your dinner plans!Sep 13, 2013Previous reviewIt's been years since I've eaten here, but we moved to within a couple miles recently, so I couldn't stay away any longer. I was able to make a reservation only an hour ahead of time, but when I got there, the place was PACKED.
The service was generally lacking; there were times when I went 15 minutes without seeing anyone I recognized. The complaints I have are mostly about the food and the fact that we waited over an hour to get our steaks once they were ordered. They did keep us supplied with bread, however, whenever we asked for more.
Timeline
7:45pm - we arrived at the restuarant.
8:00pm - the steak presentation was made and we ordered a salad to start.
8:15pm - the wedge salad arrives. We split this tiny salad; I could hold what was on my plate in one hand. For $9, I would expect a little more. That said, it was tasty...all four bites. We ordered 8oz filets when the salads arrived; medium and medium-well, but after an hour, they arrived and were both rare, to say the least.
9:15pm - the steaks arrive. The waitress explained that it took an extra long time to cook because of how done we ordered the food...not a good move, especially when English isn't her first language, but I let it go initially. My understanding of a hot pink center is that it's not supposed to hemorrage all over my plate. My girlfriend couldn't eat more than a few bites and I called the manager over to complain. I'm reluctant to send food back anywhere, especially at a steakhouse. He told us it would be a couple of minutes, when, in reality, he took 15 more minutes and all they did was sear the edge we had cut off!
9:40pm - Her steak comes back and is still bleeding. We decided to push on through and I gave her the more cooked pieces of my steak and I finished hers. I let the waitress know we were unhappy and she came back a few minutes later, offering free dessert. We were done with Pampas, but I'm never one to refuse free chocolate. Token = appreciated, but it took another 10 minutes to bring it out.
10:10pm - the bill arrives. $92 without the corkage fee (thankfully, waived) and free dessert. I called the manager over as I was signing and told him this was the worst $110 (with tip) I'd ever spent. He apologized, took the bill from me and returned a few minutes later with the adjusted amount of $25 total. Wow. He gets points for the effort, but I think it was too little, too late. I left a $20 tip out of sheer guilt and we sped home.
BTW, we noticed that several groups receieved much better service than we did. Five or six tables who sat down after us, ended up leaving before we did. The most annoying of which was where the dad kept taking flash pictures of his daughters (I'm talking about dozens here) at the booth right in front of me. It got to the point where I was photo-bombing him shamelessly. I hope he has something to remember the evening by now...

I've been coming to Pampas for years now. Not too many people know about it but as o tell them, they are missing out on a gem of a steakhouse. We went for my birthday and must admit it was a pleasure once again. Cork fee is $35 as I like to bring my own bottles. Oysters were great, the double cut filet was outstanding and super tasty. We used to come on Wednesday's and sit at the bar as they have half off bottle wines up to $150 (I think).
Good spot in Alpharetta so if you're up this way check it out.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - 7213871080Dec 4, 2022
While I wasn't wowed by the food at Pampas, I want to first give a huge shoutout to one of the best servers we've had- Ashley! Loved her service and the steak walk through. Moving on...Pampas is an old-fashioned, white-cloth restaurant. The customers are on the (much) older side and the food was pricey and just okay. While service was amazing, the food left more to be desired.
- Tomato soup (1/5): sour, spicy, and not creamy. Big pass.
- Ribeye cap (2/5): good flavor, but way too tough with not enough fat. I ordered this medium but it came out close to raw.
- Filet (1/5): this was ordered medium but came out completely raw with no flavor.
- Lobster mac (5/5): great!
- Lyonaisse potatoes (4/5): delicious!
- Mashed potatoes (2/5): it's strange being disappointed by mashed potatoes, but they came out almost rubbery.
- Chocolate cake (5/5): the star of the night. If you love chocolate, definitely get this. A delicious, rich, fudge layered between moist chocolate cake. A must order.Helpful 3Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0Business owner information

Our server Geizi was so great!
He explained us all special cut steaks and we could try something special.
Fresh oyster was very fresh and tasty as well.
Seasoning of the steak was perfect and how they cooked was exactly what we wanted.
Food was great and presentation made our experience even better!
I definitely recommend this restaurant.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Rob F.Mitte, Berlin, Germany0151Mar 1, 2024
