She's amazing - wonderful tailor / really competent - great pricing, fast and always lovely.
If you're needing tailoring, she's the one for you.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Chris C.Oakland, CA02Nov 28, 2016
Oyuna took over Ernesto's tailoring shop some time ago, and I have to say that she does fantastic work! In this day and age, it's difficult find a talented tailor/seamstress. So, I'm happy to say that Oyuna exhibits great passion and skill in her work. From re-weaving holes/tears in a jacket, to taking in seems on slacks and sport coats, to tailoring a cotton shirt to fit perfectly, Oyuna can do it all. She also mentioned that she will start custom-making shirts, dresses and such for her clients. She studied fashion design, so she understands clothing, fabric and fit. Her work clearly reflects her thoughtfulness. I'm so glad that someone with such talent took over Ernesto's. I hope Oyuna plans to be there for a long time to come!

Truly the best. I've been coming here since Ernesto owned the shop and I'm happy that Oyuna is here to continue the great work. She is excellent! My wife and I have brought everything here: suits, chinos, jeans, jackets, coats, dresses, skirts, even knits! Each time I'm treated to great work and plenty of information about what is possible, what isn't, and what's worth the time and money.
I sometimes come in with an idea of how I should change something (longer/shorter/tighter/looser than normal). Oyuna lets me know how she thinks it should be done. On those times I ask her to do things my way the clothes come back exactly how I wanted. In the end, I usually end up returning months later to get it changed to her way and it looks better than I thought it could. She knows her stuff! I trust her with my most valuable clothes.
Thank you Oyuna!Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Amanda H.San Francisco, CA215Jun 1, 2016
The absolute best. I went to another seamstress who worked out of her home and she completely ruined a bridesmaid dress or so I thought. I brought my dress to Ernesto's tailoring and said I needed a miracle and she performed one. Not only did she correct the horrible work of the previous tailor (not an easy job as she added metallic fabric and incorrect zippers) but she completely corrected the chiffon dress into what I had originally wanted all within 6 hours!!! I will be a customer for life and you should as well.

Just had my suit done here. Great job and I'm really pleased. $18 was half the price I got from other tailors.

i miss ernesto but the new tailor is as good if not better in some respects - she has a great eye for detail and I've not been disappointed once after several tricky alterations

Literally had Ernesto take a pair of pants in a full size...and now they are the best pair of dress pants I own. This guy is, in my opinion, a master at his craft, but doesn't break the bank to get great fitting clothes.

Ernesto has retired, and this shop is now run by Oyuna. I was a bit uncomfortable using a new tailor, but have been very impressed with her work thus far.
For instance, I brought in a tuxedo to have some standard work done. For the hem, I just told her how I like to wear my pants and had her pin them up. When I picked them up, I realized that she had used a slanted hem (much more time-consuming, but better looking since it is shorter in the front and longer in the back) AND had sewn the whole thing by hand (I asked her why, and she said that the fabric was quite fine and she wanted to limit the number of holes she put in it). Not only that, but she adjusted the hem (aka did it all over again) when it turned out to be a bit long, while I waited. That's some serious service for a standard $15 hem job.
I have since returned at least a half dozen times and have always been impressed (and I work in the clothing industry so I have high standards for these things). She is also very prompt; she has never missed a deadline, and often has things ready for me long before I expect them.
She is cash only, which can be a hassle when you're getting a lot of work done, and some alterations are a bit more expensive than what I think they should be (although well within the realm of what other SF tailors charge). Overall though, she is reasonably priced, very fast, and talented.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Sam S.San Francisco, CA150901Jun 14, 2014
This store is now owned by Ayona (sp?) and let me just say that she perfromed some magic on stitching up a massive hole in my jeans. Top knotch work for sure! the price was reasonable too. Will be going back there. Oh and did I mention that she is very friendly and positive as well? Yes, I did now.

Came in here after my old tailor closed, and I saw great reviews. Had a top and pants altered and was very satisfied with the alterations. Will definitely come back.
